My boy friend and I just went to watch ninja turtles in the evening after dinner there were kids of course all of witch were seated quietly enjoying the movie except one being loud and disruptive clearly not seated a toddler of course which I have no problem with kids or even some noise cheering on the movie and such whatever but this kid was really annoying out of his seat screaming yelling walking close to people and it wasnt his fault because his parents were too busy shoving popcorn and soda down to correct this kid Now... I had to go to the bathroom anyways but I thought Id grab the manager aside and let them know what was going on She immediately got on her walky talky and made a different guy manager go check it out he came in briefly mind you the kid is not in his seat looked up at them wimped out and left without saying a word to them.Stayed because my boyfriend didnt want to make a scene walking out but after the movie I saw the lady manager again and asked why they didnt at least say something to them she said he came in and observed and saw nothing wrong and that I could talk to him about it if I wanted to in witch I responded was not my job to talk to him its hers and he did not observe for very long she rolled her eyes at me and I asked her if I could get a refund she said no and I insisted that she do something because we live here, come here very often, and would hate to not come here again because one bad experience. she said she would give me 2 free passes. when she came out with the passes she begun to try to school me on how their observing works and thats what they do here in a very condescending way I thanked her for the passes and told her they need to observe a little longer we werent the only ones disrupted by this and that it was rudeness all the way around. Great theater but bad management will take any place down. They could have just whispered to them quietly but instead they let a whole theater get disrupted and were rude to the person who rightly and politely tried to stop it! Ive seen infants in the same theaters that made way less noise manly because the parent knew the babe was getting fussy and was polite enough to walk it out of the theater ! Its common courtesy obviously some people are lacking.
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. While watching Logan, towards the very end, the audio cut out for about 15 seconds. Now normally this wouldnt be a big issue, the pause occurred during a very important monolog, by the titular character. Upon exiting the theater, the "manager" (no more than 17) had already been addressed by someone else who had left as soon as the incident happened. The manager, (again, this term must be used loosely) gave me a poor excuse for it occurring. He then compensated one person out of the well over 100 people that saw the movie, and told the rest of us if we didnt like it, we could go to other theaters. I will be demanding a refund tomorrow after work, and be doing just that. I will never return to the Grand 14 in market common for future movies.
Hands down, the best theater in all of the Myrtle Beach area. Very comfortable seats, spacious cinemas, and always clean. The fact that the Grand 14 is in the upscale shopping complex of the Market Common always guarantees a great movie-going experience without having to deal with the unsavory crowds (tourists, ghetto dwellers, unruly teenagers) that youll come across at the other area theaters. Also, if you have one of the older Stone Theatres loyalty cards that says "Free admission on your birthday" printed on the front or back, they will still honor it as opposed to any of the other Stone Theatre locations such as Millstone, Park West, and Sun Valley.
Nice theatre with comfortable stadium seats. The rates are better than the mall. My main complaint is that they do not have freshly popped popcorn. They dump it out of these bags into a bin and scoop it out from there. Somewhat unappetizing. When you are paying $6 and up for a bag of popcorn, you want it to be fresh! Also I feel sorry for the staff at the booth. During the day they have the sun blinding their eyes and baking them in there. The theatre should take better care of their employees and provide a shade or tinted windows for them. How much can that possibly cost? Also, very tacky signage at the booth takes away from how nice it is inside.
My family went to this theater location and left with bed bug bits everywhere on there legs and we had to spray alcohol all over the car and spent 2 hours cleaning everything! This is not the first time it has happened! when we told the theater that it had happened they just said that we brought it in and we were lying! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS THEATER EVER AGAIN AND DONT RECOMMENT YOU DO OR ELSE YOU MIGHT GET BITTEN AND THE WORST POSIBBLE SINARRIO YOU GET BED BUGS! This is sad because we live really close and loved the theater but bed bugs is crossing the line!!!!!
The place is nice for a theater, but we bought tickets online because we saw you could skip the line and go to guest services to get tickets. No one was working there and they sent us out in the rain with kids to wait on tickets we purchased early to try to make it to the movie on time and avoid rain. Irritated with lack of personnel theater t the guest services desk just because online shows skipping outside lines.

The Stone Theatre is amazing! Although the food and drinks are insanely over priced, the ticket prices are cheap and we love it anyways! The owner is a hilarious guy! They host the Princess Gala every year for the boy and girls, and we have a blast every time! They also have kid movie mornings where they show kid movies for really cheap! My daughter and I always love those! Id recommend this Theatre!
Avoid this place if you would like food and beverage service. 2 service people for about a hundred customers. Waited 20 minutes the first time, never got served. 45 minutes later, tried again, 20 more minutes. Missed half the movie but sure enjoyed watching these employees move in slow motion. Management, visit chick fil a and watch how to turn large amounts of customers quickly!
This is a really fun and expansive theater. You feel the movie expectation/experience just going in the front door. Very clean, fully staffed counter. Friendly and helpful concession and the theater itself is clean and well maintained. The seats are large and comfortable. This is my go-to theater at the beach.
Grand 14 Cinema is easily the best theater in Horry County. The design is beautiful, the theater is always clean, and the matinee prices are the cheapest around. The quality of their 3D equipment is excellent and they have many specials going on year round for children, such as free films and cheap popcorn.
Nice leather seats. Havent been to too many movie theaters in my life (less than 10 total, including IMax) and this one is nicer than all of them. You may be lucky to find a spot to park on the street, if not there is a nice parking garage a few hundred feet down from the theater.
