Tonight was a single star. This was our first date night in quite awhile, and we secured a babysitter and all. The comfortable seating doesnt help with the enjoyment of a movie when you CANT SEE THE MOVIE! The image was SO DARK that it was UNACCEPTABLE. They desperately need replacement bulbs for the projector (high powered projectors utilize several bulbs). I would have left but the wife really wanted to see the movie and we didnt have any other options. I reported the issue to the staff twice and all they said was "our technician is troubleshooting the problem" and when I brought the manager into the theater, she claimed, "yes, that IS very dark". She did not even offer a refund, much less the courtesy to apologize and offer us two free passes to see a movie in the future (with a proper image quality so maybe we can "overlook" this bad experience; Management 101). I would have taken a picture of how dark it is but of course you wouldnt be able to see it either ;) I advise all to stay away from theater 1

My first impression... Pricy. You pay for luxury and they try their best to give it to you. The seats were comfy and with the armrest being able to go up perfect for a couple. I am tall, so when the seat was fully reclined I did bump into the seat in front of me. Reclining button is poorly placed. Another con with the seats. Best of luck trying to get a refill if youre in the center. You will receive dirty looks as people have to lower their chairs to let you by. Flawed seating. The concession had no board or menu. Just filled popcorn bags to grab and go without knowing the prices until you reach the cashiers. AMC does really force it down your throat to be a member. It is free, they require a membership for refills. They offer a $15/yr membership one nice perk, waived fee when purchasing tickets online! I would like the seats to be cleaned more thoroughly before each showing.

Im actually commenting on the review I read that said monmouth had the same set up. My boyfriend and I just went there as it is a little closer drive. NOT the same. We live in toms river. It is worth the drive to freehold for the reclining chairs. Everything is similar at monmouth.....EXCEPT THE CHAIRS DONT RECLINE!! Wont be going back. The seats are def more comfy than regular theaters but NOT the same as freehold. Freehold has my vote for sure. I give 4 stars because the food at theaters is way overpriced. And the candy packaging makes it look as if ur getting the king size but inside is smaller than a 75 cent package at the convenience store.

I love this theather. Whats not to love. Updated, clean, comfy...however.....I usually go to Monmouth AMC theater. Its the same setup. But every single time I go online to buy tickets and search showtimes...Monmouth theather is ALWAYS cheaper. If Freehold has a 12:30pm showing on a movie and tickets are 14.95, Monmouth has same movie with a half hr difference for 11.95. When you are going with 3 or 4 ppl as a family, every dollar is a savings. So my fist choice is Monmouth for cost but I do go to Freehold

Honestly I get where some of the low star reviewers are coming from, but I love this theatre. It can be pricy, but this is the best theatre around. Excellent seating, great deals for stubs members, great concessions, and the rewards system pays for itself easily if you go to the movies at least a few times a year (I go like once a month or every other month or so). I try to get into the shows with the bigger theatre. Hoping one day theyll install an IMAX. But yep: Best theatre around!!

I love what AMC has done for this theater. Its worth the price of a ticket to be able to order and print out my tickets (with reserved seating!) early in the morning and have one less thing to worry about. The Stubs program seems to be worth it to those who have it. The seats are incredibly comfortable recliners. My father can enjoy movies because of the closed-captioning devices available. And I can get a White Cherry ICEE the size of my head to enjoy during my cinematic experience.

Horrible. Just horrible. The staff judged me when I came in with a Chewbacca costume for the Rogue One premier, all I could do was cry and smack them with my light saber. My tears got caught in the fur. They replaced the butter with Lipton iced tea, AND IT WAS UNSWEETENED. what to heck???? I showed up late to just one shift and they fired me. oNE SHIFT!! then im fired. That was totally unnecessary and I can tell you that Ill be taking my money to xscape in howell. kthxbye

Nice, clean movie theater. Reclining seats. Pick your seats ahead of time is a bonus. Join Stubs rewards worth the purchase, you will receive credits to use for free movie tickets or food. Great for families if you are always buying tickets anyway every few purchase we receive a free ticket. Free upgrades for popcorn ♡. And soda. There is usually a deal going on for Teens on the AMC FACEBOOK page right now there 3/17 there is a $5 popcorn and soda deal show your student

I dont care if you have reclining comfortable seats AMC Theaters, I am not returning there, ever. Requiring your customers who spend nearly 40 bucks on a STANDARD movie with popcorn & drink, to pre-register and pre-reserve a seat at a WALK-IN movie theater is absolutely bullshit! You install these comfortable reclining seats just to make more money, and shut out other customers because the theaters have 40% less capacity now!. Will never give you my money again.

Ticket prices constantly go up... every time I check here the prices are higher. It was something like $11 last year, then $12-something, then $13, now $13.36. They also raise the rates for weekend showings, then lower them again during the week.. also no senior discount, which you can get at almost ANY other AMC... the only good thing really is that the faux leather seats are larger and recline more than Eatontown. Whoever owns this place is a douchebag.

Been to this theater plenty of times and ive never had a bad experience so far but my big issue is i can no longer order my advance tickets over the website. I do not know if it is a connection issue or the website is still new . But still i just tried to advance order rogue one tickets and it kept coming up with "ERRORS" or my service timed out. Please fix this website ASAP because i dont want to drive to the middle of no where just to see a movie.

Great theater with wide leather reclining seats! You can choose your seats online. If you book early enough you can have great seats with no worry of having them taken. It is more expensive than others but not by much. 3-D is ridiculously expensive so dont bother. Iv gone to other theaters with reclining seats, but there not as wide and comfy as this theater. Drinks and slurpies have unlimited refills

Reclining seats, spacious aisles, and great customer service - is there any surprise that I drive an hour to come here for a movie? I always have a great experience at this theater, there are never long lines of waits. The bathrooms are always clean, and the workers not only look like they want to be there but theyre super attentive to any need you may have. Now... If only they served alcohol!
