Old, dirty, and overpriced. I dont mind old theaters that much as long as they acknowledge to themselves and more importantly their customers what they are. They can be a great way to go see a movie on a budget. But based on the prices this place thinks its brand new and state of the art rather than run down and probably on the citys watch list for potential condemnation in the near future. At the very least it needs a major renovation. Maybe even that cant save it. The smell that other reviewers mention is real. They rarely have fresh popcorn, so what you get has been sitting out hours? days? weeks? At their best, staff are apathetic. Then again its probably not fair to expect a high school student making minimum wage to care when management clearly doesnt. Youre better off driving to West Lafayette, Lebanon, or the western suburbs of Indy. You wont save much money (unless you go one of the Goodrich theaters in those cities on a Tuesday which wont require a paid membership to get their discount tickets) but at least youll have an experience thats much more in line with the price.

Tonight I took 2 friends of mine and my son to your cinema. I payed $27.50 for 3 movie tickets as 1 friend payed for herself. Spent almost $35 in concessions for 2 large drinks and a bucket of popcorn. The sound and video quality was wonderful, although the end of our night was very disturbing to say the least. The 4 of us were the only ones in the theater, when the movie was over we stopped for a bathroom break, the lights were shut of on us and we were left in the theater. We were yelling for someone to answer, I answered the phone when it rang since no one else was around to answer it, then I left a detailed note for whatever staff may find it. Before pulling out of the parking lot I decided to call the theater... after 2 times calling (hoping to get the voice mail system) a lady answered, I told her what happened, she said she didnt know how it could have happened, that her and another girl were upstairs. I have asked for Management to call me on this matter.

Recently moved back to the area and I remember when it first opened and wasnt that bad of a theater. A few weekends ago was the first time I had been back in about 8 years and boy has it changed. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. You expect to walk in and smell fresh popcorn or nothing at all and instead you are greeted with this chemical/nursing home/old dirty school smell. It continues throughout the entire theater, in case you were wondering. The prices are extremely over priced for the market. You get a much better movie experience and more affordable pricing by going to Lafayette or Indy. The theaters themselves are outdated - stuck in the 90s with smaller seats that are not in that great of condition. If the theater were to be remodeled or change ownership to an AMC or GKC you would most likely see more people wanting to go to the movies in town rather than drive to Indy or Lafayette.

I go for the movies, not for the customer service. Heating/Air conditioning system is extremely inconsistent, sometimes the picture in the movie looks off, and some idiot employee told me the Jennifer Lawrence-Chris Pratt vehicle "Passengers" was a great movie. The employees dont give any impression that they have any concerns for running a nice theater. Its not the worst customer service in the world, but it is farthest from what Id call "good." And the theater does not celebrate diversity well in terms of the films they show. Moonlight didnt even show at this theater after it won Best Picture. Sure there might be a lot of racist or homophobic people in Crawfordsville, but that shouldnt make you too scared to show a movie

I think Carmike Capri corporation has forgotten about Crawfordsville. Maybe their intent is run us all off, so they can close it down. For example, the front doors are missing half of their door handles. In the bathrooms, there is always a garbage bag cover a toilet or two. Sometimes for months. The place in general is dirty. Buying anything from the concessions is out of the question. Ten dollars for a coke and a bag of popcorn. you can just keep it. If you can get passed the high ticket prices, you get the pleasure of sitting in a hard uncomfortable seat for the next two plus hours. Its a shame I can a only afford to take my family to the Crawfordsville cinema, a few times a year. I did like going.

Only putting one star because I have too it is even less then that. Employees were extremely rude. Even unchanged me for a nascar cup that they told me was free then told the next person in line it was 75cents extra then I asked why I didnt get charged and they said I did. Then finally got into the movie ,after paying 35 bucks for one large popcorn and two large drinks, and it stinks and pardon the language but it smells like a three day old fart has been stewing and brewing along with mold. The seats had food all over them and popcorn all over the floor and we were watching the first show of the day. I would recommend the drive elsewhere if you want to go to the theatre

Nice Theater... management needs to keep the projection equipment aligned properly on the screen and use the full screen; who wants to watch video that is half the size of the full screen. If you advertise a movie to start at 1:15... unless you are holding the start of the movie to let everyone get to their seats, start the movie as advertised. If not... in my opinion this is false advertising. It is the simple things that make the experience more enjoyable. I shouldnt have to mention any of the above; management should already know what they need to be doing and following through on making sure it gets done... unless they dont care?

The theater needs some major cleaning and someone needs to look at their plumbing. It always stinks when you walk in. Today though, what annoyed me the most was the unprofessional employee who answered the phone. My mom called to see what time the doors opened and the girl answering the phone just kept saying, " I dont know, Im not even on the clock yet, and the phone just keeps ringing." She didnt even attempt to get the information by passing the question to someone else. Cant say I wont be back though because its the only theater in town. Just instruct the employees on better customer service.

Id rather give 2.5 stars. Popcorn is my favorite part of the movie experience. I get there and the popcorn is pre popped, which is a turn off. Id rather see it flowing. To add insult to injury, when it is already popped and in a bag already, they can only put the butter on top!! So after the first layer no more butter!! I spend the money to have buttery popcorn! Also, be sure to get here 20 minutes AFTER it says the movie starts unless you want to see a lot of commercials/previews.

Friendly staff, however seats are uncomfortable one of the only theaters ive been to where armrests cant be put down and seat backs dont move. on some movies you can see where the screen is tacked up cause the projector is not aligned properly or something, very distracting. Id say an upgrade would be worthwhile. A lot of people would rather drive to lafayette or Lebanon to go see a movie strictly because of the un-comfortable seating. Especially on longer movies.
