I will never bring my youth group here again. The staff was unnecessarily aggressive and rude. The condition of the rides had me stressed for the kids safety. And I think the health department needs to inspect the concession stands and restaurants. I notice that the owner replies to these post, not very nicely, but he or she does reply. So please respond to my review. Not only were my kids treated poorly, but the young lady running the dipping dots stand we very rude. I went to get some dipping dots and I saw the banner in the front of the booth with a few flavors pictured on it. I was not sure if that was an accurate list of all the flavors the stand had or if it was just an example of some of the options. So I asked the lady (and I use the term lady loosely) if that was the list of all the flavor they carried or if there were more. She said harshly "we have more flavors." When I asked what other flavors she had she said in an attacking manner "We have all of them. You name it we got it but I am not going to waste my time naming them all. What flavor do you want?" Shocked at her demeanor, I replied back softly "pepermint". She sharply responded "we dont have that". So I asked for Alien Vanilla Crunch. She gave the same response. I asked for Candy Bar Crunch and she said "we have real flavors". All of those are real flavors and they happen to be my favorite flavors. So, since your employee was so unwilling to offer me a verbal menu, will you please list from the following what flavors of dipping dots you do offer. I attended Lake Winnepesaukah today, while I was there the entire experience was terrible. I have attended with my family multiple times before but this was not the same. When first getting to the park we were told it will be $140 to enter the park for 4 people meanwhile online it said it would only be $27 for each person. So there was a totally different story in the entrance there was someone with us that was over the age of 55 and was not offered the senior discount even though we asked for all types of discounts. Once inside the park while it was sunny and very very hot there were barely any rides open almost every ride was closed. As walking through the park we came to the realization that more rides were closed . As the only adult with the group asked where where you could go to file a complaint she was told. As approaching the customer service desk there was a man in front of us who was having a similar problem as to what we were having he was asking for some type of compensation for his terrible time at the park and he was not able to be compensated with. As the adult with our group got to the customer service counter there was a young lady who seem to want to help and asked another older lady who happened to be the manager to come back and when she did the adult of our group tried to explain how we paid for unlimited rides and only was able to ride about four rides. The problem was that the money was coming from young children which they have worked very hard for. The lady was not understanding at all she was very rude and had an attitude and was not trying to hear where the adult of our group was coming from. There were three other women at the customer service desk that was also listening along and all of them were rude and also have the same tone as the older lady. The older lady claimed to be the manager named Adrianne which she smelled of alcohol and cigarettes told us to stay around and as we did for another 30 minutes like we were told the rides would be opened they presumed not to be open after the time waited out . They were rude and were telling us we have should have checked the weather and other such things when we really just wanted to be compensated for our time at the park when young children had spent their money and were not satisfied with what they received. After the adult of our party was finished talking with the lady she asked a couple more questions and there was a heavyset lady who slammed the sliding door in her face. Lake Winnie claims to have great customer service and great ride and not overpriced things but we did not experience that this time around it was very very disappointing and not good customer service they need to do a overhaul.

This was the first time that I brought my family to Lake Winnie and I will never return. After driving almost 2 hours to get there, I was disappointed at the state of the park. My first impression was that it was in disrepair and in desperate need of some TLC. It was a Thursday and I presented cans to the ticket booth for the promotional discount. The young girl at the ticket booth told me that the discount does not apply to senior tickets (we had 2 with us). We were charged for tickets with unlimited rides even for my 85-year-old grandmother would not be going on any rides. I asked about this since there are other options on the Lake Winnie website. We were told that there werent any other options for tickets so we paid the hefty fee (over $150 for 2 seniors, 2 adults and 1 toddler). We entered the park and I was immediately struck by how young all of the staff were. It looked like teenagers on summer break from school were manning all of the rides. I took my son on 2 rides in the child section and noted that neither attendant checked our buckles to make sure that we were secured correctly. We took a break for lunch and were rudely waved by more teenagers from window to window until we were able to purchase our food. The experience declined with each sullen teenager we encountered (the exception was the young lady working the carousel). Unexpected thunderstorms began shortly after and we were forced to take shelter. I wrote to Lake Winnies customer service and was not provided with a courtesy email in return. Lake Winnie has the potential to be a wonderful park- the park needs a facelift, honor the ticket prices from their website at the very least or provide fair pricing for those not going on rides, and provide extensive training on customer service to their staff.
