My husband and I use to enjoy the Napa, CA area not just because its gorgeous there, but because of the wine this area produces!! We have recently relocated to Georgetown, TX and needed to find "good wine" and if possible "excellent, local wine". Well, we found just that at the GRAPE CREEK WINERY in downtown Georgetown. What we have found is A LOT of fantastic, well priced wine (not just hit and miss either...almost every bottle you open you say, "WOW...love this winery!") You can join their clubs as we have and you will not regret it for a second. We just received our first shipment of wine from the OWNERS CLUB and let me say, that my husband and I are thrilled with what the CALIFORNIA vines produced for all of us and those that joined early on!! The Sarah is AMAZING! If you stop in to sample wines please be sure to try their Merlot...that is my favorite wine that is produced right here in Texas at their Fredricksburg winery; be sure to take the tour there...it was a nice tour. The entire staff at Grape Creek Winery in downtown Georgetown are great, but I have to say that ELIZABETH is ALWAYS WARM, SINCERE, AND GRATEFUL to see the members when they stop in--SHE NEVER FORGETS TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOU!!!!!!!!! YOU FEEL SPECIAL...even after you sign up as a member!! Oh, I almost forgot to share--do bring in your own snacks, food and just relax on the patio and listen to some good music and mingle with awesome people who know how to enjoy life in this fabulous, special town!!!!!!!

I could not be more disappointed with the Georgetown location. I was a wine club member and received notice that my June shipment was ready for pick up. My card was charged on June 3rd for the shipment. This was all kosher. I sent an email to cancel my free membership so that I wouldnt be billed for the next shipment. I received confirmation of my cancellation on June 8th. My friends and I had a girls birthday celebration on June 10th at the Georgetown location and I was picking up my June shipment of wine at this time. Despite having PAID for the June shipment and being there to pick up the shipment, they refused to give me wine club perks and gave me a plastic cup to drink wine from!! I honestly thought that cancelling AFTER my June shipment had been charged that I would still receive perks for the month....at the VERY least the day that I am there picking up my June shipment of wine. The employees were rude, tacky and unprofessional. One of the employees even made it a point to come tell me how awful she thought it was that they treated me that way. She said she spoke up for me and told them it was wrong to not give me my wine club perks since I was picking my wine that day. I will not be renewing my membership or returning to this location nor will I recommend anyone to this establishment. I have NEVER been to a winery where they hand out plastic cups for people to drink wine they purchased....unbelievable! Horrible customer service and business practices.

Visiting the tasting room in Georgetown is a wonderful experience. The wines are great. The ambience is perfect in that you can taste at the bar and then sit either on a nice patio or a lovely upstairs, very comfortable room to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. The sincerest comment that I can make is praise of Elizabeth. She is the best face the tasting room could ever have. She is extremely knowledgeable about the wines. She knows all the answers to any question one may have. She is also the friendliest person I have ever met. She always recognizes my husband and me when we walk in and we only show up once (or maybe twice) a month. For a fun and tasty experience be sure to visit Grape Creek in Georgetown and be sure to ask for Elizabeth.

Walked in with my husband for a glass of wine to enjoy while walking the beautiful Georgetown square on a Saturday afternoon. Happened to be one of those rare afternoons that we could enjoy without the kids. I was having trouble deciding between 2 varietals and asked if I could have a sip of one before committing to a $10 glass of wine. I was informed that tastings were $15. I advised the rather rude lady at the bar I wanted to purchase a glass, but I just wanted to taste one before I committed to it. I was told that wasnt their policy and I could either do a tasting or purchase a glass. Ive never been to a winery or bar that was so rude. Most wineries Ive been to will let you taste the wine before you buy the glass. Wont be back.

We dont let you do it on Saturday....We were looking for a wine club and me and my girlfriend like Italian wines. We started here. We first brought a service dog for seizures, she was in her jacket with licence and permit from ADA, plus letters from Doctors and we had to get permission to enter on a Saturday with a dog. Then we brought some cheese and crackers couldnt do that on Saturday either. We had to put them in a closet. Then we were next to get our sampling and they told the couple infront of us no sharing and embarrassed her infront of us. Told them then whos the designated driver? If youre not already member this place is rude. I will never be a member here. I should have contacted ADA about the service Dog.

I am a local and I thoroughly enjoy treating my real estate clients to a wine tasting on the Square after a long day of property hunting. This Grapecreek winery location has personality plus. It is directly across from the Court House and is only a short walk from several outstanding restaurants. Elizabeth is fabulous and always treats my clients with special care. My clients never fail to fall in love with Georgetown. Stop by Grapecreek vineyard and enjoy the most beautiful square in Texas while you listen to amazing live music and sip fabulous wine. You will be glad that you did!!

Went to pick up our Estate and July shipment, and tasted the newer releases. Wine is so great consistently here. We are very picky with our wines, and this is the only Texas winery we belong to as members. Joel served us and hes the best. He explained Heath to us, a vineyard bought out in Paso Robles, CA, and shared the sauv blanc. Loved it, too so now Joel helped us sign up for this awesome line of Grape creek wines!

The tasting room is on the north east corner of the square in Georgetown. They have live music in a patio area and a members only seating area upstairs. They feature local artists and musicians. You can sit and listen to music out side on the patio on warm nights or upstairs on cold nights. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. And yes, their wines are very good.

Visited the Georgetown location its nice and the ladys behind the counter were somewhat courteous but we seemed somewhat lost in translation. When ordering a suggested glass of house wine (chardonnay) then given the due amount for a moment I thought she mistakenly gave me the price for a carafe serving! Ill just stick with our local Specs.
