Who is responsible for cutting the grass and emptying the waste cans at the Irondale Dog Park at Grants Mill Station? The waste cans havent been emptied in WEEKS and are frequently out of waste bags!!! They attract flies, bugs, and the smell is horrendous!! I personally witnessed a visitor bring her OWN garbage bag several weeks ago and empty the waste can in to her bag!! No clue where she took it, but I sure was appreciative of her efforts! The grass needs cutting and the soil erosion has left rocks with shards of glass that cut the pads of the dogs when playing! Such a shame to have such a GREAT facility that isnt maintained and taken care of! The Dog Park attracts many regulars from the surrounding areas other than Irondale. I personally know ppl from Mountain Brook, Trussville, Crestwood / Bham, Pell City, and other areas who bring their dogs! Not only do they frequent the dog park but they stop and buy gas and drinks at the local convenience stores, sandwiches at McDonalds and Golden Rule, as well as dinner at the new Wings R King, which has gotten rave reviews for the quality of the food and service! I have frequently visited Southeastern Salvage and @Home after a visit to the Dog Park too, and know for a fact that several dog park regulars take their dogs to World of Dog for training. So, its unfortunate that the Shopping Center owners / management and the City of Irondale arent taking care of this facility. SMH!!

My family and I will always treasure the fun memories of being here. Our family of four did the low ropes course together and absolutely loved it. My son and I did the high ropes course and it was one the most difficult and rewarding things we have ever done together. Highly recommend this for families, couples, team retreats, and singles looking for a super fun adventure! Management is great and the course was constructed really well.
