I was looking forward to trying this theater as I like the fact that they show lesser-known films and seem to be independently owned. That being said, I was disappointed with my experience. First off, the popcorn tasted old/like the oil had been sitting around for a while. It was an 8:00 movie on a Wednesday night, so maybe they just didnt want to start a new batch? Second, they did have recliner chairs which was a nice feature, but many seemed to be broken and we had to go to about four different rows before we found three seats together that all reclined. Third, we stayed a little afterwards talking about the movie and as the last credits were rolling, a member of the staff came in and told us to leave because they wanted to go home. It was completely unprofessional and made us feel totally unwelcome. I do really favor independent businesses, so I was hesitant to post a negative review and am hoping they were just having an off night (others seem to have had good things to say), but based on my particular experience, I would not go back again.

We need independently owned cinemas, places where one can see the strange and obscure movies not cycled through major cineplexes. LeFont promotes itself as one such venue but often falls quite short when it comes to programming and service. Right now, out of their eight screens only one is showing an independent/foreign. Rarely do they hold film festivals except the Jewish Film Festival in which Mr. LeFont is directly involved personally. In terms of staffing, Mr. LeFonts daughter Audrey, for example has arguments publicly with other members of the staff and does little in terms of her job in customer service. This nepotistic hiring method and poor focus in programming leads me away from this theater in spite of my best local-focused intentions otherwise.

Whats up with all the old folks? When the movie ahead of ours ended, it was like an endless barrage of 60+ year olds hobbling towards the nearest bathroom. We thought maybe a senior center had taken a field trip to the movies, but then we took a look around and we realized we were the only ones here not old enough to be grandparents. The theatre was a little scuzzy and outdated. The floors were dirty and the seats were as old as the theaters patrons. This is a budget theatre that is charging full price. The staff was great though, very friendly. Seriously, do they give an awesome senior discount?

This Theatre has Seen Its Day. No A/C in lobby (per attendants), smell of urine in hall to bathroom, torn seats, and heavy smell of mold in hallway to theatre 2 and inside theatre. Spoke to Manager who was very defensive. 2 other ladies came up to say the same thing. Called LeFont, no response. Id rather drive to Midtown Art Cinema than go here again. This used to be one of the best theatres in the area, so guess I will get Netflix, which is cheaper, anyway.

I was here early this morning for a quarterly presentation from my office. Upon walking in, I noticed a bar at the concession stand which is always a plus in my book. As I entered the theater, however, a wave of musk and funk hit me as though homeless people had been allowed to sleep in there overnight. The seats are worn and old although the space between the seats are very generous. Not to sure this is a place Ill be visiting on my own leisure. #cityexperts

My husband and I love to come to this theater! They usually show indie films that other theaters arent showing and they have an awesome staff! Our only complaint is that they seem to be in the middle of renovations because some theaters have the new recliners while others have old rickety traditional seats. Other than that, the snacks are great, they have a coffee bar, serve beer and wine, and they are in a great location!

This was such a disappointment. Its old and outdated and feels like a discount theater but they charge full price! Its freezing, seats are so stiff and uncomfortable, I ended up asking for a refund because I couldnt pay just a couple dollars more for the super nice theatres a few miles down the road. Now I know why you cant find the prices listed online anywhere. Staff was nice enough though

Good first run movies, important film festivals, decent sound & video - not the "latest " but perfectly fine for most purposes, a bar w. beer & wine, popcorn, etc... What could be better? A total interior renovation!!! This place is looking shabbier by the day, needs new carpet, seats, new restrooms, and other "small things" that make an experience go from ok to great!

Yes. You will often see an older crowd at this theater. As im not ageist, this isnt a problem for me. The seats are very comfortable and I found the theater quite clean. I liked that they served food other than popcorn and also a variety of beer and wine. Even better, this is one of the few independently owned theaters in Atlanta and i like supporting small businesses.

This theater hasnt seen a major renovation since the 1990s. Theres the modern reclining seats and thats fine, but the lobby might as well be a time portal. The employees are all young and immature. They rather spend their time socializing with each other than tend to customers needs. We werent overly impressed with this cinema, but I will say it wasnt crowded.

This place has a lot of character and its a really nice intimate space to take in a show. Its a bit pricey, but concessions were reasonable. The reclining seats were comfortable and the facility was clean. Definitely not the ideal place to see blockbuster type flicks, Id stick to dramas and stuff youd enjoy more on the smaller screen and non-theater seating.

Wonderful place to see a movie without crowds, and the popcorn is great. But, as other reviewers have mentioned, there are some major maintenance issues (smell of mold, broken seats, broken A/C) that seem to remain unresolved. Lots of character and occasionally shows some movies you wont find elsewhere, but the price is pretty steep for what you get.

Good theater. Every one that comes to this theater is Adult Active 50+ years old and respectful. The seats do recline however some of them are broken. The projectors are new DLP projectors with good quality. Some of the other reviews mentioned a bad smell. I did not notice any smells and the place was clean and friendly.

Everything was good up until the movie started. The movie had no surround sound and the screen was not all that big, but i paid the same amount that i would pay at an AMC or Regal theater. I was expecting a bit more. If you want the best out of the movie you are going to see i would not recommend this theater.

I love Lefont theatre. They show interesting independent films and some of the big blockbusters. Its quiet, unassuming and a bit plain, but I like that. I love that my money is supporting a local theatre and not those horrible big megaplex abominations that pass for theatres nowadays.
