Great huge screens, comfortable seating with cup holders, and plenty of leg room for people like me with long legs that get cramps in movies and airplanes. I used to always drive out to Newport on the Levy, but Pierce Point is far less of a hassle, with pretty much the same movie-going experience. Fantastic! Both of the low review scores bringing them down on here are for rare technical malfunctions that occasionally happen to any and all movie theaters. And the one about stale popcorn surely would have gotten fresh and probably a refund, had they asked for it. The staff has never been anything but helpful and understandable in the two-dozen or so times that Ive seen movies there. Also Ive never experienced a projector malfunction in that time. I cant recommend this theater enough, and I love having it in my community. Thanks for being awesome, Piecre Point!

Now dont get me wrong, I thought the theater was nice and would have given it a 4 or 5, until I noticed bed bugs on the seats. Having worked for apartments before I have seen them and can tell them apart from other bugs, (they look like red ticks although their color can change depending on if they drank any blood). I also checked in between where the cushion meets the plastic part of the seat and found eggs from bedbugs. I do not know for sure if they had this problem in the other theaters, I was in the room on the right side wing second theater to the left, Im afraid to watch another movie there, or risk bringing some home with me. If you do go my advice is to check your seats thoroughly before sitting down.
I love this theater, part of an independent chain. First run movies in all digital theaters (3D available) with the stadium-style seating that is standard in new theaters. All-you-can-eat popcorn and all-you-can-drink Coke/Icees. Beyond that just the other basics of nachos and candy. Nachos have self-serve cheese and chili dispenser so you can make them as sloppy as you want (you get the tray and chips when you buy then top yourself so not all-you-can-eat per se.) Loyalty program to get free stuff occasionally. Ive earned a free drink, free popcorn, and free movie ticket in a couple years of casual visits. Good clean theater with everything you need.
The movie was great and the venue was clean. However, due to problems, the movie started 30 minutes late. The very worse thing though, was that since they no longer have actual people working the popcorn counter and you get your popcorn out of the machine, you get stale popcorn. We went to the 12:35 pm showing, which is the first showing of the day, I am sure that the popcorn we got was at the very least from the night before, it was that stale. They must have not emptied out the machines from the night before. That was very upsetting. So, Newport on the Levy or Milford, here we come.
Been here a lot of times and have always had a good experience. Its clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and we really like the self serve popcorn and sodas of any size. The seats are comfortable and the screens are a good size (Ive seen bigger ones but these are a decent size). I like that they also offer discounts for students and military personnel, it makes it easier for broke graduate students like me to take the so out for a nice night without squeezing the budget too tight. Ive never had a problem at this theater. Highly recommend it.
I take issue with the Self Serve Popcorn Stations. I asked the manager if he could scoop popcorn from the top of the pile and he refused stating it would violate health codes. That doesnt make sense on so many levels. How do they fill the tanks? The engineering of this distribution is all wrong. You pay an extremely inflated price to eat crumbs. And, as a manager, politeness would be appreciated. There are other theaters.
20 minutes after movie was to begin manager announced it was going to be at least another 30 minutes before movie would begin due to computer problems. Offered to refund movie price if we did not want to wait. Very disappointed as we had a sitter and made the drive while all that was offered was a refund for all of the inconvenience.
Went to enjoy a R rated movie with my family and didnt realize they allow children of the ages 12-15 in to see them also. The theatre was packed with children without parents. Very loud and rude children at that. Even after a couple hushes, they kept going on. Nothing was done about it and I will never go back to this theatre again.
I love my hometown theater. Ive never gotten stale popcorn or crumbs at the unlimited, self-serve popcorn bins. The setting, visibility and sound is great and I have never had an issue. The place is very clean (no sticky floors or dirty bathrooms). Management and staff are friendly. I think this is the best theater in the area.
My husband and I have always had a great experience at Pierce Point! The seats are comfortable and big, the cup holders fold up if we dont need them, easy to see the screen, clean, and weve never had to wait very long in line at the concession stand. We havent had any issues and the girls bathroom has always been clean.
It was hard to find for me. I had to call and get a landmark, but once I did, it was easy. The theater is nice. The temperature in the theater is perfect, not too hot, not too cold. Its clean and I had my pick of seats, since I was at a matinee. I am definitely going back soon! Its so close to my house.
Clean, friendly staff, all drinks and popcorn are self-serve so you get it exactly like you want it, and there are free refills for every size, not just large like everywhere else. Seats are comfortable, armrests are great and also lift up if you want to cuddle with your date or kids.
So much better than the theater in milford, love the self serve drinks and popcorn, unlimited no matter the size! The offer student discounts and 5.50 any movie tickets on Tuesdays! Chairs are very comfortable and I am a big person. The arm rests fold up!
Very nice theater! They have unlimited drinks and popcorn for any size! That alone won us over, but its also very clean, the employees are always kind, they have cool arcade games that my son loves to play. We enjoy ourselves every time we come.
I always go to Pierce Point and I love it every time. I have never had a bad experience and I never really go anywhere else. The price of $10 per ticket is hard if you are only 14 and rarely get baby-sitting jobs. But other wise it is great!!!!
We come here about once a month. The theater is clean, comfortable seats, the arm rests fold up to make double seats. We like to see 3D movies here. Good picture quality. I like the way they do snacks and drinks, self serve with free refills.
Had three kids talking through half the movie. Went to a manager and asked them to do something about it. The manager came in and argued with the kids for ten minutes while the movie was still going on. So I left. Never going back.
