We came into town to visit with our grandchildren and decided to take them to the movies. They choose to go see Kung Fu Panda 3 and the only place that was showing the movie was the Danbarry on Waynetowne Boulevard. It looked a little bit run down on the outside but was in a decent neighborhood. So with our three grandsons in toll we headed out to the 12:45 showing. Tickets were cheap and we could have overlooked the broken seats and dirty bathroom(didnt plan on using them), but I drawn the line at rude customer service. The movie start and only background sound worked. When I went out to the front to tell them the first time, they stated that it was being fixed. Gave it a few more minutes and my husband went out and told them again. They third time was the straw that broke the camels back. I dont know if they thought that I was a Latino and was stupid, but she process to explain in a very loud and rude manner that "this is not like a remote where you push a button" over and over. LOL, I was a telecommunication specialist in the Navy probably before her father was potty trained. Then when we decided that enough was enough, I requested a refund. The other rude worker asked if I had a receipt. I just brought the tickets 20 minute ago. When I gave her the receipt for the $15 that I spent, she gave me back $12. I informed her that she short changed me. She got even ruder, if that was possible. The other girl had to tell her that correct change to give back, so sad that someone cant do simple math. All three of my grandson could have come up with the correct change without any help. I then informed them that I would be giving my business to the RAVE across that street from them. The cashier made a last rude comment, "GOOD FOR YOU". These two girls will have a rude reality check in real life if they ever make it that far. I give the bathroom and theater a rating of 1 and the customer service of "0". Pay the extra money somewhere else or wait for the DVD. The manager was of no help. I told him that I understand that some teenagers today do seem to be rude, but should never when it comes to customer service. He just said, "that is just the way they are today". If I had been their manager, I would have fired them. I am sure that I am not the first customer to have experience this at the Danbarry Theater. Should have read the customers review before going there!!!!!

It is what it is: an old rundown theater turned into a dollar theater. The sad part is a brand new theater was built just across the parking lot, and this one looks like a shabby old relic in comparison. It wouldve made more sense to improve on the existing theater, but thats just my opinion. The staff is nice and gets the job done. Theyre quick to clean up messes, sweep up popcorn, etc. But the general maintenance of the building pretty grim. The carpet is old and stained. Thankfully we usually arrive after the lights have been turned down in the theater. I cant imagine what the seats look like. Avoid the game area! Two of the games took my kids money and they have signs everywhere saying they will not refund money lost in the games. And like most dollar theaters the prices at the snack counter are astronomical! But when you pay $4 for a movie, its not so painful. They often have Groupon deals, too. Definitely worth the price of admission if you want the theater experience.

First off not going to comment on the concession prices; they are high at every theater, get over it. The low ticket prices offset that nicely, however... This place is just shabby and run down. The seats are uncomfortable, the grass outside needed serious mowing, the theaters and screens are TINY, the sound system is lacking, totally understaffed (as well as rude/bored). Worst offense? The projector bulb in the theater I was in was WAY overdue for replacement. The entire movie was too dark, even daylight scenes (and I had seen this same film in its first run, so I know it wasnt by design). Night scenes were almost impossible to see and the action was juttery. Overall just a poor experience, was glad when the movie was over. Wont ever return.

The movie I went to see last night stopped working about 30 minutes in. Things like that happen but then I had to argue to get my money back. They wanted to give me passes that were only good for certain days and for certain movies after I had paid cash to get in, they do not take a debit card. It does not appear that there has been a dime spent on maintenance on the facility in years, the seats are in disrepair and screens need replaced. The staff I dealt with was insolent, rude and lazily leaning on the counters when they talk to you. A truly bad experience that spoiled my evening. The proper way to handle it would have been a cheerful apology, full refund and the limited pass for a future date.

Honestly, I go to this theater all the time. No, its not well kept, but thats what happens when you play movies for only $3/person. The restrooms are mostly out of order, but there are some that work. You have to pay cash, which isnt that big of a deal. There are a few games there which can be intriguing. Again, its a cheap theater so some games are out of order. No, the seats arent comfortable and the walls are nowhere close to updated, but its functional and comfortable. Its not nearly as bad as you may think. Its a fantastic choice for those who have a budget instead of going to a $10/person theater like the Rave. I enjoy the theater and will always appreciate it.

Absolutely disgusting . I had to go to the bathroom and I walked into a stall and avoided the handicapped stalls just in case, and the next stall I walked into , had dried up puke on the seat. The next stall , had dried pee stains on the toilet!! So, I eventually found a good enough stall and when I was done doing what you do, the toilets didnt flush the toilet paper down. My grandma had the same issue in a different stall by the way. Once I got to the sinks, there was rust all around the soap dispensers and faucet. Once I joined my grandfather back in the line for snacks, I wanted nothing to do with the popcorn just to be on the safe side.

For the price, its just OK, but come on people! Hey projectionist/popcorn maker/manager, ask a real projectioninst about TRAVEL GHOST and see how to cure it! If it werent so cheap, it wouldnt be worth the filthy floors, ragged, soiled seats, projectors being out of focus, excessive travel ghost (blurring of hightlights due to the projector shutter being out of time - a simple twist of ONE knob fixes that) and the Xenon lamp flickering in and out on its last legs! If your goal is to finally kill the art of seeing an actual movie on FILM, youre doing a GREAT JOB of it! How SAD.
