We rented the courtyard and reception room on May 22, 2016. I cant say enough good things about the Lyric Theatre. The staff was very professional and helpful. While the wedding was to take place in the courtyard, about an hour prior to the ceremony, we decided to have it inside. The staff quickly got the chairs set up and ready to go. I loved working with Tim, he answered any and all questions, he made suggestions of where to have the ceremony in case of rain, he called me the day before to make sure they had everything covered for us.I highly recommend using the Lyric as a wedding venue!

I recently held a sold-out event at the Lyric for my job and then my wedding shortly after. The experience was absolutely fantastic. Jack Wollman, the Box Office Manager, made the process for both events more pleasant than I could have hoped for. I cant recommend this place highly enough! It was just as perfect for my 60-person wedding as for my 500+ person work event. The rates are fantastic, too, especially compared to other area venues. You can bring in any caterer, and the tables and chairs are all included. Two thumbs up for the Lyric!!!

Great spaces to host events. Affordable rates. Always clean. Schedule has both Lyric presented events and those presented by promoters. Historically, this was a White owned theatre that provided Black entertainment during segregation. The current entertainment presented is not exclusively Black.

Awesome, most all movies are offered free, large, very nice theater, assigned seats available for certain programs! Great production of plays, musicals, comedies, history of theater always posted, past,& present, seperate room for private functions,ie; wedding, reunions;etc

This was originally designed to show movies on a screen, so some of the seats in the middle are low which makes it difficult to see the action on stage if you are there for a live show.

An asset to downtown Lexington. This theater is a living archive of Lexingtons history. They are continuing a proud legacy and bringing the love of the arts to a new generation!

My first time here but I enjoyed the event I came for. There is limited parking so we had to drive around a bit to find a place to park.
