I have had good and bad experiences at this location. The last time my wife and I went to see John Wick 2 we had to sit in the front section of the theater (our own fault since we should have gotten there earlier). After we sat down I looked back at the top row and saw potential to make space for two people. I went up and asked if this particular family would mind moving over one seat to make room for my wife and I. To my surprise, the wife of the family was very adamant about not moving over. There was one seat available to the right and one available to the left of the family of three. At first, I addressed the family as a whole. The wife decided she was going to represent them all and denied my request. She blatantly stated she didnt want to move from her seat and when I ask her husband she jumped in and said she didnt want anyone to move. Seriously, had the daughter on the left moved one seat over the family could have stayed in the same seating arrangement and problem solved. I could tell that the husband and daughter were embarrassed and would have been willing to move over had the wife not stepped in. The husband didnt say a word. I do not hold the movie theater responsible for the event that transpired, however, the situation could have been avoided if management or staff made sure that every seat were being appropriately filled.

I was VERY skeptical when I saw this theater go up with the big “XD” sign. I thought, “what the heck is XD?”. But on a whim, while the fam was shopping at the mall, we decided to take our daughter to see Dory. It was on one of their XD screens. And I will say, it was jaw dropping. Pixar obviously takes the credit for putting on the most technology taxing graphics, but that XD screen they have is amazing! Crystal clear. Very bright projector with excellent contrast. Blacks are black and whites are white. It sounds silly to say but unfortunately some older theaters are more like Blacks are dark gray and whites are “is that cream, or just dirty?”. The seats are nice. It’s not the full blown king leather recliner seating, but it’s not airplane seating either. Very comfortable and probably more preferred for groups of people which is nice for a theater next to the mall. Needless to say, since it’s new, it’s the cleanest and best smelling theater around. I will be on the hunt for XD screen showings from now on as an excellent alternative to 2D IMAX. If you are like me and hate 3D, but want IMAX, please try XD.

Great movie experience in terms of seats, screen size, visuals, sound etc inside & spacious lobby, parking and quickly accessible from highway outside. One of the best theater i have ever seen in my life. I would highly recommend people to watch movies here without any second thought. But i do have a concern! I usually watch Indian movies, especially Tamil language movies. Nowadays most of Tamil movies are also dubbed/made in Telugu language as well. But my concern is cinemark christiana is screening the Telugu dubbed version here and screening the original Tamil version in their other insane theater cinemark 10, newport pike, wilmington for ex. Kodi, Kaashmora recently. I suggest/request cinemark christiana management to screen the Tamil version as well at least in limited shows basis. We are travelling to NJ theaters which is minimum 70 miles from our place due to this!

Im giving 2 starts for the fact that it was a Great theater with good quality films and the chairs are wonferful. I would have gave more if they didnt let outside food in. My boyfriend and I had to smell nasty fish chinese since the lady and her boyfriend next to her didnt want to eat before they came.... And it was an R rated movie but babies were there crying thru the WHOLE movie. It was annoying. Love the theater but probably wont go again.

Assigned seating is probrally the stupidest idea for a theater. Also Im not a fan of leather seats but I suppose the seats are nice. In my opinion, the best part about going to the movies is it being spontaneous. Better plan ahead a day or two if your going to go otherwise crappy seats you will have. It was a nice theater but never going again due to having issues with the stupidity of humanity.

*****I HIGHLY RECOMMEND*****Great sound, comfortable seats, & the 3d picture quality is even better than IMAX!!! First movie I watched there was "The Force Awakens", & I am so glad that I went there on the day it came out because no other theater around here could of gave the same experience. Also the employees were very friendly & I would definitely be there again to see movies.

OMG! So nice! Reclining seats with power back and leg rest. Super clean and comfortable. XD is the choice to make. Super clear picture and sound will knock you out of your seat! (A little exaggerated).. cant beat it. Order on line and reserve the seat you want. You can put your own butter on your popcorn...awesome! Price is average for theaters. Cheaper during certain weekdays.

I have been to several movie theaters in an around Delaware, but for the regular viewer, I feel Cinemark Christiana is one of the best. The cinema halls are spacious and really gives you the feeling that precedes a movie night. I am a regular customer here and would recommend this to others too. The XD theater here is pretty awesome.

Great seats nice and comfortable, nice set up, looks great, has amazing snacks to choose from my only issue is the popcorn is horrible and the butter for it even says artificially flavored butter. Tbh the popcorn you do at home in the microwave taste better than this stuff.

Great staff and lots of snack options! I love that they have a Starbucks here! I also live that all of their seats are now reserved recliner chairs. Also, each year they have cups and popcorn buckets you can buy and use all year at a discounted rate of $3.75 each.

Super clean. I determine how much ice is in my soda, since I am the one to pour it. Also, I get to put liquid butter and power on my popcorn. I love it. The theatre seats are comfy and tilt just slightly. I choose this theatre over any other in the area.

They sitting there is stupid , we are in elementary school to have assigned seats. We ordered two tickets for planet of the war , we got seats away from each other. There was people in both the seats we got assigned. Again are we in elementary school ?

New generation of theaters, love the concession line and pour your own butter! The XD is a must see and nothing is better than the $5.50 Tuesdays for digital cinema all day. This theater is the greatest theater Ive ever been to and Ill always go back

I was just at this movie theater last night to see IT. Great movie, great seats, and a amazing concession stand. However, the crowd that goes to this theater love to talk during the movies. I will spend the extra money to go some where quieter.

There were too many people sitting next to me. It was also very dark inside the theater. When I had gone to the bathroom and came back, I missed some of the film. After the movie, someone farted and I was caught in a contrail. One star!
