BOOK A BDAY PARTY @ YOUR OWN RISK! The folks over at Funderdome are nothing short of thieves. If I could give negative stars I would. My wife and I were originally planning on doing our sons 6th birthday party here because it was pretty close to our house, and so we decided to book the date a little over a month in advance. While they were quick to request a 50% deposit, at no point did the person on the phone bother mentioning that they have an (insanely absurd) 60-day cancellation policy. Yes, you heard that right...a 60-day cancellation policy!! When my wife called back to cancel the reservation 4 days after she made it, it was at that point that they informed her of their cancellation policy. You would think that they would mention something like that on the initial phone call considering they were well aware that the planned birthday party is being scheduled just over 30 days in advance...but that was clearly not in their best interests. Instead, they told us to refer to the convoluted contract/agreement that they had sent to my wife after she made the initial call who, theoretically, should have ready it over but realistically cmon...how many of us really have the time to do that or would even think to do that for something like this? Besides, again, you would think that something as important as that would have been highlighted during the initial conversation, especially given the time-frame. Of course, had we been told that, we would have likely done some more research before finalizing our plans. Nevertheless, they told my wife that a supervisor would be getting back to her about refunding the deposit because they werent able to make that decision. Lo and behold, several days later, my wife gets an e-mail stating that theyre sorry but due to their policy they cannot refund us the deposit. So, when I tell you that these people are thieves I mean just that....they took nearly $300 for NOTHING!!!!! Also, please dont lose sight of the fact that theres really nothing special about this place, and there are PLENTY of other similar options in Broward County, and even Chuck E. Cheese which costs way less and offers a lot more fun and games (thats actually where were having our sons bday party, and their cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to the party!!). It goes without saying but Ill say it anyways, seeing as how these people essentially stole our nearly $300 deposit from us, we will never step foot in this place EVER, and well be sure to let ALL of our friends with children know just how crooked these people are. If I can help save even one person or couple from making the same grave mistake we made, I will find solace in this experience.

Lets start with the Pros, the facility itself has many activities for the kids to do. My kids enjoy playing there the two times including the party that they did come. The reason they got the two stars. If you dont mind going to a place and just keeping to yourself and playing with your kids then you will be ok. However, if you expect any customer service then forget it. I have booked over two dozen kids parties at many locations and this was undoubtedly the worst experience I have ever had. Considering we spent over $800 for a party of 14 kids I was expecting some customer service. The party staff just talked amongst themselves the whole time and blocked the door to the room so my guests just avoided going into the room. The sign for the party to show whos party room it was did not even go up until 20 minutes after the party started. Since we were the first party of the day, they said the decorations would be up the day before. They didnt start till the day of and were still decorating once the party started. They were very rude on top of everything else. The attitude was they were doing us a favor by letting us have a party there. This will be the first and last party i ever host here. At every other location the party attendant was at the party for the entire duration of the party. Our party attendant was there for maybe 10 minutes. Compared to other comparable party locations their party platters are small, large platters for 20 people would be lucky if it fed 10 people. The staff for the play area were not great either. No one was at their station. They were all huddled up chit chatting. We had to ask them who was in charge of the individual activities because there was no one there. I should have seen the red flag when you could book a party a month in advance with full schedule availability. When everywhere else would be mostly fully booked.

First of all Im all for rules for kids obviously they are necessary but the young guys they have working In there are the funderdome police everytime you turn around they are blowing their loud whistles at a child yelling a rule (not all are necessary, wont go into what rule they keep telling my little toddler) I can handle this and would continue to go but it went overboard when my daughter came and sat by me real quick and grabbed the water bottle out of my purse Bc she got thirsty from playing (and Im sure all moms know that when your kids play you have water in Your bag and they are use to grabbing it out real quick to hydrate from playing so much)and befor I barley realized two guys went off on me and her and told us shes not allowed to drink there which I told her to put away (which is also a fine rule to have) but I thought it was so rude and unnecessary when the one guy who happened to be the manager told me he would kick us out if she did it again: I obviously told her to put it away and he saw that and I think it was completely uncalled for. I went over to speak to him after because it made my daughter upset thinking she would be kicked out for drinking water and he informed me that it was his boss who told him to do that. Whoever that is needs to realize this is a CHILDREN play place and that kids need reminders but they dont need to be threatened especially over something so small as drinking a sip of water while sitting on the side. I take me kids to other indoor play areas and never have I seen the employees act like this. Seriously funderdome, dont have a children play business if you dont know how to treat kids and families find a different career. My friends and I definetly wont come back.

Fantastic! If you have never experienced a fun-day at ‘Funderdome’, you do not know what you are missing! Come rain or shine, this is definitely a great fun place for kids of all ages and for all occasions. We were there for the first time for a birthday party that had kids ranging from toddlers to my two boys, aged 7yrs and 9 yrs old. All the kids were kept entertained all afternoon. If you are looking for an award winning place for a birthday party, then this is it! They even provided entertainers for the party, had great food (pizza was delicious!), and the staff were attentive, friendly, energetic, and fun. Nothing was too much trouble. For the bigger kids there are rope courses, a climbing wall that has different levels of difficulty (amazing how quick the kids climb up and then rappel down!), and a laser maze that is really cool with it being in a dark room. For the younger kids, it was nice to see that they had a special baby/toddler area that was sectioned off and lots of slides, climbing frames and tunnels for younger and older kids to play. And, for the Adults, if you wanted to go play with your kids and have some fun also on the ropes or climbing wall, or for me, you should try the slides (green one is fast and fun), it was a really fun time. What was also nice is they have a café area that is located so you easily can sit and watch everything. They had WiFi too, which I haven’t seen in other party places. The café had a good selection of food and drink, very reasonably priced, and was constantly kept clean and tidy. My boys loved it! This is a perfect place to take your kids, very safe, and definitely somewhere where you can go back time and time again and have fun.
