The good - seats are comfortable. The bad - I used to go to this theater all the time, it was my favorite! But... pretty much every time I go, the machines where you get your drinks at by the entrance are dirty and sticky. Where you add butter had popcorn all over, butter on counters and mess with the salt and a few random jalapeño slices thrown around. The spill in one of these pics was there when we got in for one of the early showings and was still there 30 or so minutes later when I went to the restroom. People shouldnt be so messy but it happens daily, youd think after years of the same, theyd ensure to have someone monitor the area and keep it clean at all times. This place gets insanely busy and should be maintained. I also have a Premier Stubbs card and while at some AMC theaters they do take you first from your special line or take one from the main line and one from premier... theyve never done that here for us. The last time there were 2 people at the ticket counter and I was the only one in the premier line. They kept calling people from the regular line. I think it was about 5 groups of people the person closest to me behind the counter called before acknowledging I was there? The other person behind the counter was further away so it seemed like they were focused on the regular line which is understandable. Same thing happened inside at the 1st concession stand as the 2nd one was closed. The regular line was moving much faster than the premier line so theres almost no point in buying it if this is the main place you go to. Dont expect to get treated like youre a premier member.

I have decided to stop going to AMC altogether now. AMC Regency is consistently dirty with food on the seats and floor, the IMAX screen is a joke, and bass can be heard from the neighboring theater during films. They ended up revamping the theater, trying it’s best to compete with other modern cinemas. I decided to give it go again a while back, and found they had an assigned seating system. I feel this is a bit ridiculous, since for the past 100 years I don’t think we’ve ever had major issues with picking seats in a theater, but oh well. I chose seats in the middle, and found that once actually seated in the theater, I was completely surrounded by a group of people. People sat on each end right next to, in front, and behind us munching on their food, slurping their drinks, and chatting with each other. Normally, with regular seating these people would have never come and sat down in the seat right next to us in a mostly empty theater. I prefer having some personal space in a theater, hence the reason I typically go on non-opening nights. Having assigned seats practically forced people to sit right next to each other even when 90% seating is still empty. I don’t like it all. My theater of choice is Muvico in Ybor, which is always clean, the food is great, the bar is an actual bar, the sound system is excellent, and it’s not frequented by hundreds of teenagers on the weekends. I always spend the extra 15 minutes to go to Muvico over AMC from now on, and I suggest you do too.

Last night at 11 pm I checked the AMC Website for the Movie times Today 1/2/2012. It showed the time for the movie We bought a Zoo to start at 10:00 AM. I went to the theatre at 9:35 am. They had a sign that said Boxoffice opens at 10:30 am. Hmmmm...What is wrong with this picture? Quite a few people showed up to see the same movie; If not I would havw thought I was wrong. There was no movie showing at all. We asked for the Manager and this young man came out and said all movies started at 11:00 am. At the mention of what was online, he said "Nope, sorry.... Maybe you did not see it right. The newspaper makes mistakes, or the schedule changed for today. We have a new schedule come out every Tuesday." Well, it was posted on Sunday night at 11 pm, and it was not Tuesday yet!! He just said; Sorry come back at 11 am. Some of us traveled from farther away than Brandon..... If her was not going to honor the time on your website, the least he could have done was be Polite, and offer us some free popcorn for our movie when we came back to see it. That would be Good Customer Service. Instead, we got no satisfaction, poor attitude and having to return 1.5 ours later. Not Happy at all and I will make sure to post his on your AMC Facebook Page SO All MY FRIENDS THAT LIVE IN THE AREA GO ELSEWHERE.

We spent the past couple of years in Australia and got used to assigned seating. I must say we REALLY like it. For those that complain about sitting next to someone, then pick a seat that is NOT next to someone. That is the point of assigned seats. As for standing in line at the kiosk for your ticket - DONT ! Just have the ticket sent to your phone and show it to the ticket taker. As for having someone in your assigned seat - either tell them to get up or go get the manager. Basically DONT BE A VICTIM ! The staff is always friendly and busting their butts - though I do admit the restrooms do get a bit gross - but I have witnessed some pretty STUPID people in there that I wouldnt want to be cleaning up after either. Have to say that we do not care for 3D in the IMAX theater but other non-3D shows are fantastic in there. But then we are not sold on 3D movies anyhow...Other theaters in the place have great seats, the sound is great and if you pick up your ASSIGNED seat well in advance you know that you are sitting in the best seat in the house. You dont stress about getting stuck in the corner or the front row. Overall our family REALLY likes this theater and like the staff even more.

There are mice, roaches, and yes there is mold in the coke heads as someone said. Ive witnessed a rude manager named Shannon scream at a guest who complained about a movie that she didnt need to give him passes and told him to get out of the theatre. They still play movies if they are badly scratched and give you no warning about it. But I do suggest getting a stubs card. You can buy tickets and get them refunded and still rack up points and get a reward. They dont change the hot dog buns, the popcorn is most likely not freshly popped, they leave trash under the seats, on the seats, in the cup holder (seriously look in the cupholders at all the debris), the seats suck in all of the theatres, no one takes care of the kids with cellphones, the managers are too busy pulling pranks on the others to take care of anything (if I had to play along with someone pretending dropping movies down stairs one more time), im pretty sure the smell from the theater is mold, and its not even safe to be there since someone was killed behind the strip mall in May. Go somewhere else.
