Wish I had looked at this site before I spend the money. I do not think the Kids in Charge section was worth the price. The play kitchen and food were much like you probably have at your childs school. The childrens section under two is very small and contained no other toys than foam blocks. The section for 7 and under had nothing in it and no children were in that section. The area that looked like a stall for animals contained only a foam mat so Im not sure what it was intended for. One exhibit wasnt working. The shadow exhibit you can do well enough at home. Some of the other exhibits were interesting but overall, it certainly wasnt worth the cost of the tickets.

Unfortunately, the cost of this museum is outrageous. I do not understand where all the money has gone, because it has not been put back in the museum. It is sad that something that should be a shining example of Tampa Bay is regarded as a dirty and filthy waste of money. The food prices are through the roof for horrible cafeteria food, half of the exhibits do not work, there are additional charges for everything that you want to do there, it is just a waste of time. The Imax is the only area of this museum that is worth a visit. Pay for your movie ticket and skip everything else. OH AND TO TOP OFF THEY NOW CHARGE PARKING FEES ON TOP OF ALL THE OTHER FEES JUST REDICULOUS

Dont pay for upgraded seats! I purchased these yesterday to give my son what i thought would be an awesome experience only to get there and the staff told me "oh, we already closed the preferred seats doors just go through general admission"?? When i spoke with management, they did nothing and pretty much did not care! apparently if you purchase upgraded seats you are also supposed to get to the theater WAY early? which the web site does NOT state! I was not trying to get $$ back i was just informing them of the bad experience and actually the conversation with management was a worse experience than the wasted $$ for the seats! I wont be going back. Sean Davis

wanted to spent our last day in fl, USA at MOSI. payed 50 dollars for a broken, dirty museum. It is called museum of science and industry ? i was fricking wondering where the fricking science was ? they should write it on their fricking webside that they show the simplest science and industry!! EVEN FOR KIDS IT IS A BAD MUSEUM !!! stayed there for 15 minutes and left then. payed also 5 $ for parking wasnt worth any of MY money. At my last fricking day in florida, with actually almost my last money left!!! havent been so mad at a long long time. broken, not working, dirty museum never again!!!! spent your money somewhere else PLEASE!!!

Our kids (7 and 4) enjoyed the visit but overall we were very disappointed. The play store had very little pretend food and the play restaurant had no food, plates, menus or anything for the kids to actually play with. Disasterville is a cool concept but the tornado and wildfire simulations are just sets with tvs as windows playing outdated graphics. Hurricane simulator is just a corner room with a big fan. We found lots of things were outdated or just didnt work. We did enjoy the Moon simulator, dinosaur exhibit, and there were some interesting things in the kids zone.

Geared towards getting kids interested in science and tech, I was very pleased to see the "learn to code" section and the 3d print section. I visited because I was interested in taking a ride in a fully autonomous car which was actually quite boring. Im a CIO for a living so tech is a big thing in my daily life. Seeing kids go hands on with arduinos and makey makeys was pretty awesome. MOSI, if you are reading this, you are doing a good thing! Keep it up. Would love to see the robotics and coding sections really take off.

I know it has one more showing for sure this weekend. Idk about next. I watched INTERSTELLAR in 35mm as well and this was so much better. And the SOUND made it, George Lucas would wet his pants #THX . I cant think of a better film to see in dome. Sit in one of the back 4 Rows Theater was just donated 2million to change for digital projection and to replace the lighting by the end of the year. Sadly the "how a imax dome" show before is disabled till then. Cant wait for the upgrade. Thanks Florida Hospital.

Loved this place 15-20 years ago but was very disappointed when I took my son there today. It is very run down and dirty. At least half the exhibits did not work most of the second floor was closed for construction. $50 seems really steep for two of us when half the placed is closed and most things dont work. Staff was friendly but could not answer any questions. I got the buy a day and come back the rest of the year free deal however I will not be returning unless there is a huge remodel. Very disappointed.

There were some large groups (multiple busloads) of screaming and running children the day of our visit. They chattered continuously throughout the movie. The planetarium was the same problem. Outside of the Imax and planetarium wasnt even worth the price of parking ($5) and certainly not as interesting as their website makes it seem. If I had known them what I know now, I would just go to the Imax theater and planetarium back home in Louisville, both better and cheaper.

I cant believe how expensive it was to visit. The free museums at Home are far better. We Basically paid $50 for my husband and myself to watch an hour of imax science films. Definitely not worth it. We went during the summer and there were hundreds of children running and screaming everywhere and everything is under construction or broken. If you are looking for a place to let your kids run wild before nap time, this is the place. Otherwise, save your money.

Went today. Not worth it. Entire 2nd floor under construction. When I came about 15 years, I had such a memorable experience. My kids were done with this place in about an hour. They had no desire to see the movie. My kids were happier after I had to pay extra for a simulator ride and a rope course. Health exhibit and kids exhibit seemed to be the only areas worth spending time in and seemed like the only areas that were open.

The cost is not worth what you get! Most of the exhibits didnt work and the kids in charge building had very minimal things for kids to do. My family has been to better museums in much smaller cities. The imax was decent and the only part worth doing, but not for the price. Did not do the zip line but it looked fun. It should have been included for the outrageous price! Then maybe the trip would have been worth it.

Great place to see Star Wars:) Handicapped access was just OK. Rode up in my chair, entrance was on second floor, easy enough to get to, but once in theater I was expected to stand and walk 10 ft or so to a seat. I can take those steps but many cannot. I would have expected more from MOSI, but the ride through to parking is on a sideways grade (hard as **** to push a chair on) so maybe that was my first clue.
