This review is with a heavy heart . My son and I go here all the time to watch primarily new 1st week release movies on the Xtreme Screen . Normally it is an awesome experience I.E. Dolby Atmos Sound reclining seats and good snacks and drinks . The Xtreme Screen experience is a big plus in watching a Blockbuster Movie . Seems more immersive than a regular screen by far . Today I went to see Atomic Blonde playing on Xtreme Screen 3 . After 10mins in I went to complain to the manager that the movie does not fill the screen like at home when watching a movie with bars on top and bottom AKE aspect ratio does not match screen 2.35 instead of 1.85 . He saw the issue and tried to tell me that because its shot in Scope a.ke. 2.35 ratio thats why it looks like that if they fill the screen your feet would block the view . Hilarious I thought as other theatres at least have motorized curtains that are black and are adjusted accordingly top bottom and sides to frame the movie or mask the movie as some people call it . Even the GM seemed unapologetic like 90% of the movies are that way he said . Not true on the movies that are showed on the Xtreme Screen that my son and I have seen 25 or so did not look like what I saw today . NOT COOL ADVERTISING XTREME SCREEN when you get a letterbox style movie on TV not an immersiv experience. Very dissatisfied with the lack of concern from upper management. Not worth the extra $$$ unless I would have the ability like at home to zoom in a.k.e. change format to fill the screen . I dont know too many people that pay for a 65"+ screen tv and dont do that so the movie is more immersiv. For 40+ years broadcast tv would do that . Remember when before the movie would start it would say the format has been adjusted from original to fit your screen . If showing a movie on Xtreme Screen either only show 1.85 format movies or mask the 2.35 format or make aspect ratio adjustment to fill the screen. When Im paying for a big screen experience that is what I expect otherwise I would pay less and see the movie on regular screen . Summary if Im paying extra to see a movie shown on a 70x30 ( 2100 sq. Ft ) Screen and Im shown a movie at roughly 70x21 ( 1470 sg ft ) I feel cheated . Thats 30% less SCREEN for a premium price . Less for more does not sound like a goid deal to me . LOL

My boyfriend and I always come to this theatre and we never really have any issues, but last night was a different experience. We bought tickets for us and my boyfriends parents to see the movie Annabelle and our experience was very unenjoyable. The entire movie theatre was filled with teenagers who were constantly screaming, giggling, talking, laughing, etc. all throughout the movie especially during the intense parts. The movie itself was great, but the distractions made it very unenjoyable to watch. During the movie, my boyfriend had to get up and tell an employee and an officer about what was going on in the theatre. The officer came in for about 5 minutes, but did nothing about the noise. The thing that really upset me is that after the movie was over, we were one of the first ones out and we saw everyone else walking out and THEY WERE ALL TEENAGERS. How are they able to get in to a Rated R movie without an adult????? Does the theatre allow this to happen???? Why dont they do anything about it??? When we brought the issue to the managers attention, it seemed like she had to force out an apology and did absolutely nothing about it. We explained to her that we are loyal customers who spend a lot of money here, but she simply said sorry and that was that. Really? Absolutely NO customer service skills what so ever. Needless to say we are done with this movie theatre. I work at a hotel nearby and this theatre will not be recommended to my guests.

Its getting two stars for comfort and cleanliness. However, the chairs had a weird musty, wet towel smell to them. This is a terrible place to see a 3D movie. Honestly, the worst. The exit door has a flashing strobe light on for the entire movie which is distracting but that isnt even the worst part. The worst was that either the projector was off or the glasses are junk. (Not to mention the glasses are smaller than my husbands eyeglasses...) We watched a 2.5 hour 3D movie and the entire thing had the double image overlay like you were watching it without the glasses! We left extremely motion sick and when we talked to an employee about it, they were just like oh, okay, well look into it. We could have gotten up and missed some of the movie trying to get it fixed, I guess but for $30 in tickets, you shouldnt have to do that. For a new theatre you really shouldnt have to do that. We didnt even get a hey, sorry about your waste of money, would you like to speak with a manager? Nothing. It was like we could have walked up to the wall and said the same thing. For regular non 3D movies or the Tuesday cheap price, fine. 3D will remain AMC. Its the same price and way, way better. The only draw here are the chairs. Not worth the money.

Positives: Spacious theaters with comfy recliner seats; clean facility; prices were fair. Negatives: Stale old popcorn; butter was spoiled; and HORRIBLE usher at entrance to cinemas. I witnessed this man with his 2 young children re-enter the cinema area so his daughter, who was maybe 4 years old, could use the restroom. The usher started yelling at him that he couldnt re-enter once he leaves and then proceeded to call for assistance in removing this man and his family! There are no restrooms in the lobby so where exactly does one go? A child is unpredictable and when they need to go they need to go! The mans wife was in the ladies room, its only steps away from the entry, he just wanted to walk his daughter there so his wife could take her in. I, as well as my family felt the actions of this usher was totally unnecessary and out of line. We did not stay around to see how this turned out but I hope that when "backup" came to assist, it was resolved appropriately and in the familys favor.

At last! So happy to finally have a movie theater in Riverview- and its a good one. The Xtreme screen is 70 wide and 3 stories tall with Dolby Atmos sound. It was great to be able to see a 2D film on such a nice screen (they always seem to be delegated to smaller screens with the larger, more impressive screens being saved for 3D). Oh and the seating? The seats were the best Ive ever sat in, in a theater. Stadium, electric reclining and very comfortable. You can put your feet all the way up and your back all the way down. Took a star off because if you need to cancel tickets you bought online you have to go in person to get a refund from the box office and also at the moment they seem to need to type your confirmation number manually when you present your ticket on your phone which would definitely slow things down if its busy. All in all though very, very enjoyable and my new theater from now on.
