Ive only visited this place once, but because of the great experience I had, I will definitely return if I ever decide to get more fish or if some or a few of my fish die. When I stopped by to get fish, I walked in and started looking around. Right away, one of the employees saw me and asked if I needed help, to which I told him yes and proceeded to tell him the fish I was looking for. The whole place was clean and friendly and the fish tanks were clean and looked well maintained. The fish didnt look bad either-they all looked happy and healthy. The employees, especially the one I was being helped by, were very knowledgeable and helpful. The employee who was helping me, was real careful when scooping my fish out of the tank. He wasnt all speedy and rushed about it like the employees at PetSmart are. This showed me that they take pride in the hobby and their job. Granted, Ive only had my fish for a week, but so far they havent showed any signs of stress or illness and they are happy and healthy, eating well, and getting along great with my other fish. I hope and pray nothing goes wrong with them and they live happy and healthy for a long time.

OMG! Aquarium Arts has been my go-to shop for about 11 years! Without the knowledge and helpfulness of everyone at AA, my tanks would have been a huge flop and a never ending money pit. Instead, I have had incredible luck that is backed by a support staff who never steers me wrong and my tank is thriving!!! Each of the staff members are very attentive to the customers and always spend the time I need to better understand the animal/coral I am considering. They wont just sell you anything...they are wonderful about making sure it compatible with my tank/skill level. After the many years of fabulous service and quality livestock I can count on, I choose to give AA my business for a 240 gallon tank...talk about a rocking tank!!! The tank may sit in my house...but it is certainly a team effort!! I could have never done it without the never ending knowledge and great guidance from the Aquarium Arts staff and management!! Take your business here and your tank will thank you AND reward you with a never ending supply of peace and beautiful viewing!!!

We purchased three blue ram (freshwater) on saturday afternoon and one of the fish was almost dead by monday evening, two days later. This fish cost $10.99. I called the store to see what the return policy is if the fish dies and the sales person on the phone said they do not do returns for dead fish. I then said I could return the fish within twenty minutes of our conversation (hopefully before it dies) and the guy told me that they would not accept the return because it was most likely our fault or our tank that got the fish sick so they did not want to accept a sick fish. Although they kindly offered to test our water and tell us what we could purchase from their store to fix the problem, this was actually more of an insult. Our tank has ten other fish and none have ever died until we brought home this expensive and apparently sick fish from this store. Aquarium Arts took our money and then did absolutely F-ALL for us after selling us a really expensive and sick fish.

The best place for fish in az that I know of. Its family owned and the owners son is extremely knowledgeable in all aquarium or species related questions the staff is freindly and have gone out of their way to help. The fish and corral are cared for better than any aquarium store ive seen in the state. Ive had problems with disease and parasites when ive gone to other aquarium stores, but anytime Ive purchased from aquarium arts ive had great results no disease or any problems. They hv even helped me rid my tank of a deadly parasite that was killing my corral. My saltwater fish tank and my mothers freshwater and saltwater tanks are alive and thriving from the help and support that aquarium arts has given. Its the only pet store that ive been helped before I even had a question. When your at a store that you need help to purchase anything i.e retrieving fish, the staff should be more than helpful and aquarium arts has superseded any of my expectations.

It felt like I had just opened my eyes for the first time. I had been to other fish stores but this this was just mind blowing. I had never seen so many different varietys of salt water fish in the flesh so to speak in my life. They are healthy well feed and thriving fish, coral and anemone. The staff was right there to help with any question I had even going out of there way to make my visit one in which in my opinion will make this aquarium store the one and only store that I will go to from now on to get my saltwater and freshwater supplies. Low low prices that cant be beat and I should know I have been to almost all of the other fish stores in town looking for that special fish or coral or whatever. If I could I would give this store more than 5 stars. They also have a membership club where fish supplies and fish are traded for only 20.00 a month. Unbelievable.

This is an excellent pet store for those who are interested in both fresh and marine fish. Their plant selection is much better than most places in Arizona, on top of that the plants that they carry are a very high quality which I find the most important aspect. Although their selection of fish is not the best, again they score points for having top quality fish that are well taken care of. Much of their equipment is modern and allows for even the high-end Aquarius to get something beautiful for their tank. Their marine selection is much better than freshwater but both are great. It is hard to distinguish who is a staff member at times however each staff member is very knowledgeable especially Chris.

Its a bit on the small and out-of-the-way side, but it is the least expensive and best store around. AA has the best prices in the city, especially on sea salt, coral, live rock, and some fish-- even beating out giants like Petsmart and Petco. Shame they stopped selling freshwater, but if you are a saltwater person, this is the place to be. I bought a starfish from them just this week, and it looks healthier and was cheaper than other stars of the same species ive seen elsewhere. Many supplies were about $3 less than Petco, live rock and sand about $5 less.

I was extremely disappointed at my last visit to this store. First, the staff misinformed a friend of mine as to the species of fish she was getting (which became a huge problem because she didnt have the space in her tank to accommodate a common plecostomus -- they get up to 18 inches). When I stopped by, I was disturbed to see them stocking artificially dye-injected fish. This practice is cruel, unnecessary, and torturous to the fish. I will NOT patronize this establishment until these fish are no longer on their stock list.
