Ive been here several times in the past, and we always enjoyed it. But admittedly I havent been here in the last year. Seems things have really gone down hill. We went there to celebrate my sons 20th birthday last Thursday. We arrived at about 6:30 and didnt leave the restaurant until almost 8:30. And we didnt even have dessert. I dont see how they can make any money turning tables every two hours. We had a few appetizers and my wife and I ordered some drinks. I think our waitress was late to her shift because we had two other waitresses before our final waitress arrived. Took for absolutely ever to finally get her to take our dinner order. I had to flag her down, and she still made us wait a while before she came back. My son ordered the Yaki-Soba/Udon, which actually looked the best of all our meals, with a side of fried rice. The side of fried rice finally came when he was almost done with his meal. I ordered the Tempura Dinner, which was just ok. Had two pieces of fish, shrimp and scallops, but very few vegetables; it needed more vegetables to round out the meal. It was also supposed to come with a bowl of steamed rice, which I never received. I asked the waitress about it (after I finished my meal, she was barely around to check on us) and she didnt think it came with rice. She checked and said, yes, it was her mistake, it did come with rice. She offered to take the price of the fried rice off the bill, which was nice, but I would have preferred to have the steamed rice with my meal. It would be easy to blame the extremely slow and poor service on the waitress, but Im not sure it is entirely her fault. Seemed she was constantly rushing around, and didnt know the menu very well. I think the management here is doing a very poor job of training, not supporting their staff, and not scheduling enough help during dinner service. The food quality has also declined; food was ok but not good enough to justify the high prices. I think the only thing probably worth going here for is to take young children to see the show at the Teppanyaki grill. But as an adult, its the same show every time, and the food again is mediocre. The bar scene and happy hour seemed to be very busy, so maybe this is where they are now concentrating their efforts. Unless youre planning on taking small children to see the Teppanyaki grill for the first time, I recommend staying away. What used to be a good Japanese style restaurant is now mediocre food that is overpriced with very very bad service. Too bad, because this place is only about a mile from my home, but I will not be back.

Recently went to Kobes to hang out in the lounge. I reserved a table, and was very specific about which one I wanted. The hostess PROMISED me a specific table, and when we got there it was so noted in the reservation book. However, the table was occupied. We were promised that when/if the couple left we could change our table. When we noticed the couple had left, I went to the manager and asked him why another couple was seated at the table he promised us. He said the coupe would not move. He was quick to point fingers at his staff for not catching the seating. He said he would pay for one of my drinks, yet he did not cover my girlfriends drink. We both paid for our seats. I sent a letter, and received a cursory letter hoping we would give the restaurant another chance. The manage went into a lengthy explanation about not promising specific tables. That is not the issue. We frequent this place often, but we will not go back. The food is not that great. The chicken nuggets were dry and were more like chicken ends. The drinks are weak, and the management is unprofessional.

Last week I went to this restaurant with two of my friends and we really had terrible experience. We sat at teppan table and ordered meals as wells as sushi. Oh my gosh! When I was done with sushi, the teppan chef was just getting started. The food was bad as well as the service.. except for the sushi..sushi was really good.. Ill only go there next time for sushi,,,never for teppan..the owners need to train or do something about the servers..they really have some attitude problems, and they dont even know what they are serving..what kind of servers are they. So if you are thinking of having a great japanese food, i really recommend you not to go here.. especially not on the weekend, its really loud and chaotic....

I agree with "I would pass." The food was so salty it was ruined and not enjoyable at all. I asked for no salt on my shrimp and the cook salted it anyway. We could not drink the soup because it was so salty. For the cost the meal it was not worth it. Really - you should taste your own food and cut down on the salt. You may be busy now, however, you will not get a lot of repeat business or referrals and that is what keeps a business going.

Worst filet mignon Ive ever had. Very thin cut, as opposed to a thick tenderloin usually served up for a like price $26.95. Overcooked, medium rare isnt brown and pink folks. Service was horrible and it was only 6:30. I shoulda done the teppan, that crowd sounded like they were having fun, or drunk...either way they were loud and laughing. Go for teppan, I guess...but avoid the steak at this steakhouse.

Dont go there for brunch on Sunday, if you are looking for good quality food !! They do provided some of omelet with super small size , at Teppan yaki part, the chefs some times not at their position for cook to customers. POOR SERVICE . Food presentation was limit and barely adding fresh food as needs. For this price $35.00 ,I could get better place to go.

This was a fun night out with the family. The cook that prepared our food was funny and talented as well. The food was delicious but the bill can get real high real fast. But that is the name of the game at this teppan style restaurant.

Scallops were the worst Ive ever had in a restaurant. Sushi was not good either. Expensive bad food. I think the only way this place is in business is because its convenient for people staying across the street in the hotel.
