Boosts to have the longest ferris wheel ride ever and it sure does feel like it! With 12 cars that snuggly fits two adults and child or an adult and two children; the ferris wheel is fun for kids of all ages. There are a few other fun rides like the shark version of the bucking bull and some geared strictly for children. Not to mention the arcade with some cool games and small prizes. Definitely something to check out while visiting Balboa Island!

Balboa Fun Zone is a charming destination for families, friends and romantics. It has a ferris wheel, bumper cars, arcades, photo booths, ice cream, pizza and nice restaurants, harbor tours, bicycle rentals. beach walks, fire pits on the beach, pier fishing, and a park. I hosted a small birthday party there! Take the ferry to Balboa Island for a scenic walk to the main street where you will find a variety of shops and eateries.

Great place for fun with the family or a date. From the Ferris wheel you can see the ocean and pier over the rooftops as well as one of the best views of Newport harbor and all of the boats. For a great meal I recommend Balboa BBQ right across the walkway from the Ferris wheel.

Went here with my family had a great time! The little shops were unique and interesting. If I had to remove one star as I did, it was the parking and confusion... Worth a visit just be prepared to get stuck with people all trying to get in and out with a one lane road!

This place has 3 rides for 10 dollar each or 30 dollars for unlimited rides on all 3. They are all small scaled but might be fun for small kids. It seems like a decent place for 1-2 hours of fun for kids. The cost seems too high for me.

Grew up in Newport, always loved visits to the Fun Zone. Iconic trend of the 50s, and just so nostalgic. My cousin champ at the grab a toy arcade game, we always came home with goodies, and full of all the great carnival food offerings.

Love the ferries wheel ride. The staff are super friendly and supportive. Wish that the two arcades combine tickets for our young ones. Visit The Mermaid store and get a slice of pizza near by. Best thin slice I have eaten in a while.

I think the park itself is very family friendly and fun to visit. I live on Balboa, and unfortunately I always have strangers on my lawn, hear loud noise, kids crying and screaming, and terrible terrible traffic.

So much room for activities! From food to arcades to just strolling along this is a surefire way to have a good time. There are some pretty sweet events taking place in this area depending on the season as well.

love the balboa fun zone. spend a few quarters in the arcade, ride teh best ferris wheel ever and get some treats. I also like to walk out on the public dock with the kids located near the catalina flyer.

Fun place to take 4-18 yr olds. Ferris wheel, merry go round, ice cream, electric boat rentals, full game arcade...really fun area. Weve been bringing our kids to this place for the past 7 years.

Took a cruise on the harbor checking out million dollar homes. It gives you that motivation you need to strive for more. Arrive 15 minutes before the undock time. They leave right on time!
