Im not a fan of change but the refurbishments to this park have made it better. The last time we visited, Cars land was not finished so it was nice to be able to check that out. Radiator Springs looks identical to the movie. The rides however seem a bit rushed. Maters Junkyard Jamboree is nothing more than a slowed down version of the scrambler from every fair youve ever been to and the newest ride that took over the flying saucer type bumper cars (Luigis Flying Tires) is now Luigis Rollickin Roadsters where you sit inside of a small Italian car as it dances with the others. In my opinion, it was super boring. The best ride in Cars land is the Radiator Springs Racers and it seems like all of the ride budget for this land went into that one ride. It is really fun and takes you on a nice trip throughout the movie with all of the characters. It could be a bit more thrilling for this day and age but still one of the best rides in DCA. The updates to the Sunshine pavilion into Carthay circle are nice and the suitcase and a dream show is nice too. I dont like the refurbishments to the Hollywood studios backlot much and there is always some space that they are trying to figure out what to do with but never really settle on anything. Last time it was ElecTRONica, this time is was Summer Dance party. etc.. Either way, theyve taken out the Muppets 3D and for nothing that I could tell. Turtle talk with Crush has been updated and now has more characters involved and you can no longer go into Ursulas grotto from the Beasts library anymore. Frozen has taken over at the Hyperion instead of Aladdin but that show was very impressive. At least they havent turned the entire park into a Frozen zone the way that Star Wars has taken over at Disneyland. Soarin Around the World is a great improvement over Soarin Over California and The World of Color has gotten more original than the original. Now if they can figure out how to not shut half of the park down just to put on the show then that would be great. The shows are awesome but once youve seen them, youd like to go do other things but thats not possible if you want to ride most rides on Paradise pier during World of Color. It seems like the people in charge do not have the capabilities nor the imagination that Walt originally had. If he were somehow still here, I think the park would run more efficiently and not put so many people out. Walt was a master at entertaining the masses while still satisfying everyone all at once. Sure there will be issues but Walt found a way around them. The new people in charge seem like they have no idea how to do this and just take liberties with some things in order to make others happen. Dont get me wrong, I still love DCA but it seems like every time I visit, I get more and more disappointed. I just keep rooting for them to eventually get things right. Thanks for reading.

If you have a fractured foot and are in a boot dont expect the same treatment you received at Disneyland. It was a horrible experience. My doctor wrote me a prescription, without my asking, to NOT stand in line. He wrote the script to have access to a fast pass to prevent prolonged standing. The first ride informed me they are handicapped accessible and do not make accommodations because they have wheelchair ramps everywhere and no stairs. 90 min line and I had a rude awakening as to why my dr did not want me standing in line. I was in pain! At the next ride I was told to go to the information booths and ask for a fast pass there. This person offered a wheelchair. I didnt need a wheelchair, I needed a minor accommodation to be able to skip the line and be given a time to come back to the ride. He said hed do me a favor and placed a ride on my ticket. He informed me that fast passes were issued at the rides. Next ride, I was informed the information booth was issuing fast passes. Arrival at the information booth and was told no we dont have passes. I said I will pay for the passes, remember I had a prescription for the pass, she offered a wheelchair. Again, I didnt need a wheelchair. She said passes were offered at the ride itself. The next ride I requested a fast pass at the ride. She explained all the fast passes were gone for the day. Now if the first guy just said, okay let me get you set up on a fast pass return time Id have know the process and rules for obtaining a fast pass. The staff were not accommodating, they made no attempt to inform me on the process of actually getting a fast pass and paying for it, if needed. Paying for it is not needed at California Adventures as far as I could tell. On my final attempt to obtain a fast pass, a very nice woman just gave me several ride passes. She saved my foot. Although, by this point I was already in quite a bit of pain. We had planned on spending two days at Disneyland and two days at California Adventures. After our experience we decided a day at the beach would be so much more fun than attempting California Adventures again. I was amazed at the difference in quality of staff between the two parks owned by Disney. If you are going and have a person in your party has a fractured foot or is not advised to stand in one place for long periods do not attend this park. You or they will be in pain, they will not help accommodate to make sure your experience is enjoyable. Skip this park all together!

California Adventure is epic and outstanding and fun any age you can grab a beer and just enjoy the scenery or go on a epic flight like Soarin around California well now its crap version called around the world but to me there isnt really nothing to do? Well for theme park attractions at DCA? Disney really took out the good for this park like mad tea party that was fun for music and drinking and muppet vision 3D and well cars land is great Only radiator springs racer is fun its just like test track at Disney world and basically nothing else to do at the pier except the dull Rollercoaster but Im not a upside rollercoaster person. And also I cant forget they demolished and took out the heart of California adventure!!! The Hollywood Tower Hotel!!! Now that was the main and beautiful ride at DCA and topping the top awaited time ride to almost pushing 200mins waits a day and yet they ruined because of marvel and now it looks ugly like a oil refinery with satellite and food dishes everywhere and pipes it looks just like a junk yard mess!!! I dont know what Disney was thinking for tearing the Hollywood Tower Hotel but its just awful with this marvel garbage. Disney is trying to push marvel and trying to update the park to the younger generation of kids but really do kids know what song of the south is splash mountain? Umm no I mean come on CBS still airs marathons of the Twilight zone episodes? Its not a unknown show!!! Most little kids arent gonna ride the tower of terror anyway. This is a ride targeted for a older audience. Kids arent dumb they know old tv shows and movies. My parents showed me the Twilight Zone when I was growing up and honestly In the future I will show my kids also? The Twilight Zone is great its timeless everyone loves it. Disney is meant for everyone!! Changing a classic well I use that word loosely cause the ride came out in 2004 and changing it to something new and hip is pointless and the Tower of tower the tallest building in Anaheim you can see it across all of DCA and most of Disneyland and some out of the park its just beautiful. I mean come on Disney you spend over millions on the 1930s Buena vista street and the Hollywood Hotel hovers over it perfectly and now its just a tower full of trash they got at a junk yard thats what it truly looks like now and its sad and disgusting also disappointing..
