I took an introductory film class here. It was a rich and satisfying experience, and greatly deepened my appreciation for the stylistic, thematic, and technical aspects of the medium. This theater, though, is a bit strange. Its blocky from the outside - clearly a holdover from another era. Inside, the facilities feel uninspired and dated. The theater is suited for viewing movies, but isnt great for interactive lectures. Its not an intimate place - not a place where you carry on conversations. The acoustics are clearly designed for listening to a movie rather than discussing it.

We just discovered this theater, to watch the new Star Wars on opening weekend. For only $6.25, we got to choose our own assigned seats, and found that all the seats are these beautiful reclining loungers. The aisles have more than enough room for people to walk to their seats without disrupting anyone else. In very impressed with the theater, and will certainly return to this one again and again.

High quality films, from new pictures to the classics, in their original forms, and with great sound. The chairs are comfortable, and the house is spacious. Downsides? Not enough bathrooms, no food allowed inside, and screening are almost always limited to USC students.

One of my favourite screening rooms for Metropolitan Opera HD Broadcasts and other premiere movie screenings open to the public at no cost.
