CLASH ROYALE

This place doesnt even deserve a one star, but it was the lowest option available. This is THE most disgusting place to go to. The guy at the door checking the ids told me to go back to my country and I didnt not belong here and refused to let me talk to the manager when he saw my id was not from the US. The bouncers have a self-conscious issue and this is really a racist place. From the name, country club, you can expect the bad, racist treatment against all non-texan looking people who go there. I called the police against him and all the owners and security came out trying to offer me a drink so I wont sue them civilly. I left the place and disregarded their offer after the insults from the doorman. Hes self-conscious and just because I looked bigger than him he had an issue with that. Now I will sue them legally for harassment and hopefully the guy will get fired and they get fined. My last tip. Have a nice romantic evening with your date and buy her flowers. Go to any other place if youre looking to meet new people. But dont go to this low-class, ignorant, smoke-filled rotten pub. Tampa has a lot more to offer than racist low lives.

My friends and I have been coming here every Saturday for weeks now. Last night however, we were minding our own, having a good time like always, when we were kicked out because the owner is screwing one of my friends ex girlfriends. Talk about unprofessional! His "possy" of about eight punks tries to jump us and then follows us when we leave and go to a new bar still trying to cause trouble. Even the bouncer confirmed we did nothing wrong but said he still had to kick us out because "boss wants us gone." I wont be spending another dime here and would encourage anyone with any decency to do the same. We were thrown out, harassed, and talked down to, for no reason other than a personal grudge that we had no way of knowing about. If thats the way the owner runs a business, its not a business I want to be anywhere near.

I love this place. I feel very safe there because there are so many bouncers. I have never seen the so called fat redneck bouncer the other reveiw was talking about even though I have been going every week for a few months now. I dont believe a word about them beating up someone either. i have seen them haul a few guys out that started fights but they just restrain them to get them the heck out and away from the other customers.its kind of funny how the two reveiws that said this were almost the same time and the highlighting and punctuation looks the same.

The new location is a joke. The music sounds terrible and the bar layout is the worst I have ever seen. I visited Round Up last Saturday night and had to wait a minimum of 30 minutes to get a drink I kid you not. What makes it worse is that it was sink or swim night, so all the bartender had to do was give me my drinks and I would be on my way. This place has, hands down the WORST bartenders in the city of Tampa(and yes, that includes Ybor City). Prisons have more efficient staff than this place.

Ive been here a handful of times and think the bartenders are great... Security is a bunch of short-bus riding retards and the crowd is definitely pretty young, but overall the music is good and the sound quality is perfectly fine... I think this place gets flamed by the older (55+) crowd who are pissed that the owner moved their cheese... Deal with it... So aside from asshat bouncers... this place is good... Better than Dallas Bull, IMO... better pool tables, better servers, better people.

Needed to get a cab home as I had a bit to drink. The lady at the desk made me order the cab ourselves and then a guy who worked at the place was rude to the cab we placed and literally made him move out of the front the bar in their pickup truck. This was literally the lowest piece of scum move I have every seen, especially to their customer that could not drive home safe. Screw this place, there are better places to go that actually gives 2 shi** about their customers.

Took my country girl and arrived at 7 for the line dancing class, which I am horrible at but a willing participant to try. After an hour, the class was over and the 10 or so line dancers continued even though the place began filling with more younger people. As they only have line dancing, no free style, so the 10 people had the whole huge dance floor to themselves. Felt exactly like I was in a country bar with an aerobics class in the middle.

This place doesnt even deserve one star I give it 0 stars. Me husband called to find out what the dress code was for Saturday night and they said bandanas and sleeveless shirt was fine. We got there at 8:30pm and then we got kicked out at 10:30 for no reason but because he was wearing a Harley DAVIDSON AMERICAN FLAG BANDANA. What is wrong with the picture. Never going there again and neither should you.

So.Very. Disappointed. :( The Round Up that used to be on the corner of Hillsborough & Race Track was our #1 place to go dancing, we all traveled about an hours drive away but it was so worth it. Now its a "different" atmosphere, different type of people there, no where near as much fun. We went 1 time after they moved, that will be our last time. It was such a disappointment and a wasted trip.

If you are over the age of forty, the staff treat you as if you are invisible. Since round up has moved to its new location, the coldness of the building matches that of the staff. I wish someone would please open up a new dance club in the old roundup location and employ the dance instructor, Margaret Howard, to teach line-dance lessons.

best club by far in all of tampa why lets makes a list 1 big parking lot and dont have to pay to park 2 age range from 18-low 30s 3 always happening 4 prices are great and never hard to get a drink 5 all you can drink for 10 bucks on Fridays 6 not too loud you can actually hear yourself speak

Been going for a couple years now and always have a great time. Those who go looking for a good time will find it, those who go looking for a bad time will find a bouncer taking them out. Plain and simple. Great Staff all around and plenty to do while you are at The Round Up.

The new building acoustics are horrible. So sad. Music and instructor are garbled and echo-y. You would think they would care about the sound. Pathetic. Ive been going to the Round-Up since 1997. The new building is a Fail. New instructor could be good but you cant hear her.

This place is just plain crap! The service while pretty decent, just isnt worth the price you pay. The drinks are super weak and the clientele of this place is filled with fake country posers. If your looking for a good country bar then you should probably keep looking!
