I recently celebrated my husbands birthday with friends at Uptown Alley. I called a week in advance to make reservations at the restaurant and to reserve a lane for 6 people. I was told they do not take reservations for bowling and there should be no problem getting a lane. We had dinner at the Red Embers and I have to say the food was wonderful and the server was very friendly. They do not offer your typical "bowling alley" food. After dinner we proceeded to check in for bowling. We were told the wait time was 2 1/2 hours. I then informed the person at the counter, that we were told by Rocky, there would not be a problem getting a lane. She stated that a reservation should have been made in order to avoid the wait time. I explained that I spoke with Rocky and how he did not offer a reservation for bowling. To make a long story short, Adam (manager) listened to our situation and was able to get us a lane within 45 minutes. He also did not charge us for the bowling and we had a great time. It is so refreshing to receive outstanding customer service. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend this bowling alley. Sharlene F

Love the food and food. Customer Service is the worst. Especially with party planner, Dad paid almost 400 dollars to hold party until unexpectedly my dad became very sick required risky surgery and treatments. I was forced to cancel the party and hope to get a refund to cover dads needs, because he was the one who pay for this party and I dont work because I spent two years nursing my sick baby. I am also required to nurse my dad. The party planner, Kristin told me to cut off the guests to cover the half deposit even I have many nieces and nephews. She excepted me to cut off my niece and nephews to celebrate my miracle babys (who have been sick for two years) birthday. How cold of her. Even I canceled the party two months in advance it gives Kristin more time to have someone cover the space. She kept 400 dollars from dying man. How sick. By the way, I paid by cash, pretty obviously she kept it for herself. Dont worry karma will take care of her.

Ive come here plenty of times and have had good experiences, today should not have been any different. We ended having the waitress from hell. We ordered appetizers just chicken tenders and fries before we even started to bowl. We had fun bowling but during our entire game Ashley our waitress was no where to be seen. Finally an hour later she appears and tells us she checked on our food 3 times and the kitchen had just started our food. A real waitress would have come to check on us and let us know that the kitchen was behind. which is also hard to believe as we watched everyone else around us get their food. The worst part is that she decided to give an attitude and argue with us saying it wasnt her fault so sorry. We would have been fine and understood better had she just said she forgot to put in the order. this was the WORST service ever. If Ashley is your waitress I suggest you ask for someone else.

went in waited 40 min for a lane which i understood. paid for the kids to play all the over priced arcade games, sat down at lane finally and ordered some chicken tenders for me and the kids. my two 3 yr olds bowled a whole set 1 hr 15 min before the waitress cam to tell us our food had been delivered to wrong table was told it would be rushed out. At this time kids going crazy for food. another half an hour went by i found the lady and ask her to box up the food. Place is way overpriced, service sucks, i payed for my older kid to play lazer tag and then he went to play and they said it would be another hr because of a private party coming in. no refund just said we could come back any day to redeem our game. this place sucks bowling balls. If you have to apologize" a thousand times " dont you think you could at least offer to comp my soggy french fries. what a waste of time and money.

Booked a friends 50th birthday party and it was very difficult to do. The night of the party, nothing we had booked was how it was suppose to be. Kept getting passed off to another person who could not help. Was basically told it is what it is, they have to honor the contract, but the lanes we were to have were already booked, so the contract was not honored on their part which was okay, but from the customers part, it is what it is. We just wont be planning any more parties there ever because the frustration was ridiculous and the lack of customer service was very bad and after all said and done, we did not get what we booked or planned for and no one followed up with us to resolve. Also, this place is very very expensive! A draft beer is $4.50. For a bowling alley. Food is way high and for a little city like Surprise, its out of its league.

I live all the way in Mesa and came out to visit friends for a casual birthday party over the weekend, nothing big just a low key good time and I cant believe how slow they are there. It took us almost 15 minutes just for anyone to come to the table and take our order. My friends were angrier than I was was and youd think with 4 people looking around for a server that someone would have come over but NO.. My bud had to get up and ask for a drink himself. I even asked him whos idea was it to come here. Needless to say where I live there are all these locations that have the Patron App and when I asked the server if I could order on mine she looked at me with a puzzled look. After almost 40 minutes we blew out and went to Main Event off the 10 freeway and service was way better! We decided to NEVER go back to Uptown Alley with service like that!

The good: the food was quite delicious, loved the nachos. The bad: by far the worst service Ive ever experienced. It took us over 10 minutes just to get someones attention so we could order our food I had to walk up to the guy at the bar twice amd remind him for them to finally send someone over, then our waitress Jalynn P. was just incredibly rude. We would ask for something or try to speak with her and she never once responded or said a word to us. She had such a bad attitude and it completely spoiled the experience. The only time she ever said something was "Thanks" as she handed us our bill. Good food, bad service. Will never go there again. The Main Event is far superior in all areas, service, games, food, drinks etc.

I like the back room for pool, and the limited access bowling.... feels like an upscale club...BUT... the bartenders are HORRIBLE. The drinks are poured light and they dont know how to make some basic well drinks with skill... PLUS, the drinks are expensive and the pool is pricey too. I wouldnt mind so much if they had table service for drinks OR they comped some pool for a party of six spending over $150.oo on drinks and snacks. The food is OK, not great tho for the price. Somethings gotta give... train up the b-tenders and get some table service OR comp some pool for the money we spend and the trouble we have to thru to get poor drinks.... come on!
