Fairways are patchy. And some greens too. You do not come back by the clubhouse until after 18 With no remote concession stand or beverage cart be prepared for a thirsty day. Staff good just wish the course was too. Not a bad layout just conditions not the best And be prepared to step or play around goose dropping. Why the change from Ironhorse the train to a metal horse.

Great course, great layout, great maintenance. I do not care much for the par 3s because they all seem the same (long and over water) but the other 14 holes are fantastic and offer a great variety. I would not recommend walking the course because this place has some of the longest green to next tee walks I have ever seen and there is virtually no shade.

A must play course! Be advised, if the winds are blowing you may find this course to revival your game!!! Under new management, as a home owner, I can verify that finally irrigation is being used! Enjoy the course as it will be you against course and wind!!!

Decent course for central IL. I thought the fairway conditions could be better. The layout is challenging yet fun. Beware, the food here is good, but takes a while, not ideal for a quick bite at the turn--allot yourself more time.
