As a holiday tradition, we always go somewhere to see a Christmas light show, normally the Green Bay Botanical Garden but we wanted to change it up this year. We did a search and found the New Zoo Holiday fest which was described as the zoo decorated with lights, winter animals to view, and a carriage ride. We were extremely let down and disappointed when the park was not lit up hardly at all, no Christmas lights and only some lighting in the exhibits (which didnt show any animals anyways). We had high hopes for the carriage ride but were let down yet again with a ride through an extremely dark forest trail that only offered views of concrete buildings and dark trees. I would not recommend their Holiday Fest to anyone and dont see how anybody could pay money for this.

No, this is not the Milwaukee Zoo... its the NEW Zoo! Its a lovely place for young children to see animals in a relaxed environment. There is a little train that goes through the kiddie area and a beautiful carousel the kids can ride. There is also a brand new restaurant in the middle of the zoo and there are two playgrounds - one for toddlers and one for older kids. My son and I love feeding the giraffes, and if you go on a weekday, the place is quiet besides the sounds of animals! We were amazed at the snow leopards last week when we were there and the petting zoo is always a huge hit with little kids.

Aug. 22, 2017...First of all, the website said seniors got in free - they wouldnt honor it. Another couple came in and said they read an advertisement in the paper where seniors got in free on Aug. 22nd. The woman at the desk was rude and said "no" that was yesterday. Secondly - we drove 85 miles to this zoo sorry to say it was a huge disappointment. The Bison field had one animal hiding behind a bale of hay, three monkeys had their backs to us, so many exhibits were empty. It was not worth the time at all. On the plus side it was clean. However we will not be visiting any time soon.

The NEW (North East Wisconsin) Zoo offers the mixed feeling of a city zoo in a rural area. There is no charge for parking and admission is very affordably. They are also open year round. The zoo is nestled in the Brown County Reforestation Camp, which also includes a park across the street, biking trails, and even an adventure park. The adventure park includes a wall climbing tower and zip line. Visitors can feed goats, sheep, and even giraffes. The zoo features the red wolf and an albino alligator, which isnt found in may zoos.

NEW Zoo is consistently improving and becoming more and more worth visiting. Be sure to go during giraffe feeding times for a great experience, also try to go on a cooler day or early in the day (close to 9 if possible) to see the animals moving around. Once it gets warm the animals generally get less active. The ropes course and zip line are great as well and if youre up for it, gice it a try. The whole package takes about 1 and a half hours if youre able to move through the ropes at a fair pace.

We had a wonderful day at the NEW zoo. The education and conservation programs were awesome and the Intern knew a lot of information and facts about the animals that he presented and talked about. My daughter learned a lot if fun things and was very excited to share them with others throughout the evening. Thank you for giving my child such amazing opportunities and Information. Great job fostering learning in a young child and growing her love of animals, nature, and conservation.

When you tour this zoo, you can tell by the condition of their area that the animals are well maintained and truly cared for. Feed the goats in the petting area or take part in feeding their 2 giraffes. There are sanitizing and wash stations available. There are many clean restrooms available, an eatery for food or treats, a gift shop and playgrounds. Enormous value for the price of daily admission, or purchase a zoo pass for the entire year.

This zoo was a disipointment to me. I drove two and half hours north to see a zoo smaller than my backyard. Why do you guys seriously have only one of each animal? The black bear there looked so lonely, it was going nuts. It was so lonely, it was pacing in circles. You can see how its been do that for a long time, since theirs a huge circle dug into the ground. The people who work there are nice. You guys just need to get more animals.

It sure has changed over the years. Its probably best to go on a nice cool-ish day, so more animals are out and active. I went when it was too warm and most of the animals were sleeping in the shade or hiding. Felt like a waste of money. Not sure for price of children but adults are $9. They do, do a family pass for the year for $45, which isnt too bad of a deal. The adventure park is pretty pricey as well. I dont think its worth it.

This Zoo doesnt compare to the Milwaukee Zoo. It was really small. There is a Zoo in Weyauwega that reminded me of this one. SMALL. I will drive the extra distance to go to the Milwaukee zoo. It takes my family and I about 3 plus hours to walk the Milwaukee Zoo. The NEW Zoo was not even half that. They didnt have anything out for my children to see. And yes it was a weekend. I would not recommend this zoo to anyone.

We visited the New zoo and adventure park today. We went zip lining which was fun. The ropes were pretty challenging. The zoo is very nice. All the animals are all taken care of very well. The park has lots of benches throughout which was nice for my older parents. The best was feeding the giraffes. Staff were all very friendly. I would recommend it if your in the Green bay area.

Zoo had alot of animals were off site or not there yet! The ponds and water holes they had were gross with moss an green stuff all over it. Most of the water fountains were not even working or on. Kind sad to think these poor anmials are in cages all day and cant even have clean pond water. For being a small zoo it was ok but it would have been better if things were cleaner.

Nice medium sized zoo. The admission was reasonably priced for the amount of exhibits they have. Went on a really hot day so understandably many of the animals were hunkered down in the shade. Would recommend for a family looking to go to the zoo at a reasonable price. The zoo isnt huge, so it takes about 2 hours to go through and see all of the exhibits.

we went and well it was only 18 degrees.... youd think theyd give you a discount when its so cold hardly any animals are out. We went to celebrate a birthday otherwise youd never catch me outside in that kind of cold. We could only stay an hour because we were freezing and for the 4 of us we paid at least 20 dollars, so..... not so sure id go back....
