They animals looked so sad!!!! The cage were small!!!! The leopards cage was the saddest thing I had ever seen!!!! The tiger wasnt even normal size it was smaller than your average tiger. They look like theyre going under I would let them. Because theyre not doing it their job efficiently and I dont think they have the resources to be able to do their job efficiently!!

My experience is being treated to confederate BS - where they have listed themselves as closed on January 16, 2017 for "Robert E. Lees Birthday". It is closed for MLK Day, the South still lost, and you just put out that bat signal that this zoo is run by racists, who dont have the decency or American pride to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.

The last time I went here, a sick hawk who was on deatha door was with all the other birds. When I enformed a staff member, they blew me off. Many of the animals are in exhibits alone and many of the exhibits are to small. It used to be good but as of my trip in the summer of 2016, this zoo is close to being shut down.

The zoo itself isnt the best, but its a great place to take my kids. Theres tons of shade, you can get really close to the animals, and its never crowded. The splash pad is so fun in the summer, and the train and carousel are always a hit with my kiddos.

They frontload the ugly part. Poorly maintained and sporadic exhibits. However, the deeper you go the better it becomes. Decent for a couple of hours with the kids. Not a zoo to travel for.

It was OK, we drove a few hours to get there. Several things were shut down, including exhibits and the train. It was a little disappointing. My kids still enjoyed it though.

We were headed home and stopped in Jackson to go to the zoo. It was great. Wonderful staff and amazing enclosures. It was a nice stop if you are in Jackson check it out.

Fun place for kids. Several new attractions coming in 2017. Location isnt the best but never had any problems here. Great memories made here.

This is a large zoo but with a TINY budget. Lots of repairs needed. Lots of empty exhibits...but the splash pad ROCKS!
