WOW! Where do I start? First off I reserved a Platinum Suite for Christmas Eve. I had also made reservations for dinner at the Fire restaurant. Now I needed to drop off my wifes surprise Christmas present (a brand new car) so it would be there Christmas morning. So I drove the car there early on the 24th and parked it in the parking garage. I made my way to the front desk and informed them I was leaving the car a bit early since check-in isnt until 4PM. The lady behind the counter asked for my name and she pulled up my reservation and informed me my room would be ready by 1:00PM if I wanted to check-in early. BONUS! Or so thought... So I went home and picked up the wife and returned to the hotel at 1:45PM. I went to get my room and was informed it wasnt ready yet. Okay... I explained what I had been told earlier by staff and they looked in the computer again and admitted the room was clean, but still required a supervisor inspection before they could release it. I was told they would dispatch a supervisor immediately. They took my cell number and said it wouldnt take long. They would call me in a bit and would have my keys pre-made and I could go up to the room.2 hours later at 4:05PM I still had not been contacted so I went back to the front desk. Sure enough the lady who had helped me had a complete "Deer in the headlights" look when I asked about my room. Magically my suite was now ready for occupancy! No apology for forgetting about calling me either. So we get to the suite and throw open the curtains so we can look out at the river. What do we find? An infestation of lady bugs! They were everywhere! In the curtains, on the carpet. Crunch, crunch, crunch, as you walked around the room. Then shortly after checking in the TV in the living area started acting up. Then the door to our suite would not stay shut on its own without using the deadbolt! This was probably due to all the humidity because it had been raining all week. The towel rack on the wall in the bathroom next to the tub was broken and just barely hanging from the wall. I went to the front desk at 5:25PM and reported the problems and was told it would be handled. We had 6PM Fire reservations and THANK GOD for that! It was the only saving grace of our stay! Restaurant staff had their act together and we had a most awesome meal and service unlike the hotel side of things. Fire restaurant gets 5-Stars! We left the Fire at 8PM and returned to our room to find that nothing had been done during our absence. I went back to the front desk where I was informed once again they would get an emergency work order started but I told them to forget it. It was 8PM on Christmas Eve and we had guests coming by. The last thing I wanted was maintenance people working on our room while we are trying to enjoy ourselves. Ill go to the Fire again, but I will NEVER stay at this hotel again after this last disaster! I took pictures of all the dead bugs I cleaned up myself. Id post on here if I could.

First of all, this place has about as much class as the folks who drink a 40 of colt 45. For those who dont get that joke, that means ZERO class. It looks nice, but the people who patronize this place ruin it. If you like to give your money to "bingo" machines while choking on smoke sitting next to a lady in a wheelchair with life support then this is your place. If you like to gamble next to people who have no teeth, smell like a sewage treatment plant, on welfare, and have no job then this is your place. Also the Indians have little to no government regulation on what their odds are. Unlike Mississippi and Vegas, The poarch creek set their own gaming commission and can payout how little and how infrequent they want. If you have a dispute, the only entity you can complain to is their gaming commission. Take a guess who their going to side on. No table games either. So if you want a decent gambling experience, do yourself a favor and drive 3.5 more hours down to Biloxi. If you want a real gambling experience then hop on a plane to Vegas. Also I hate the image they give to Wetumpka. It definitely does NOT help the town. The only thing it brings in is more traffic, shady people, crime, and increased burden on local services. They give away money so they can get local business and services on their payroll. Once they suck you in, you can never turn them down. Kind of like the Mafia. Theyve already paid off members of the state legislature by the way. This place should be shut down for breaking the law. There is nothing legal about their "bingo" machines. Federal law states that they can only do what the state law limits. AL supreme court ruled that the only type of "bingo" gambling allowed is on a card and not electronic. It should be only a matter of time. Im sure federal corruption and racketeering charges will follow. No better way to honor your ancestors than to build a casino on their graves and sacred land.

It was great had sooo much fun me and my boyfriend went last night took 700.00 got down to about 200.00 each had about 100.00 he says well you ready to go about lost all our money I said okay so we get up start walking I saw a machine something said laura play it hahaa so I said hey let me play this one Im gonna play one last 20.00 what the heck already lost about everything okay so we both sit down matching machines in the seats we both put 20.00 in took one spin nothing second spin he says order me a drink so I did hit the spin again all of a sudden machine says ding ding ding won 108.00 okay so I got excited then I printed that voucher out put another 20.00 in hit spring machine started to ding again won 166.00 ahh so omg I was like I just won what I started out with okay won all my money back he started with 400.00 I started with 300.00 so I said if I hit again Im gonna crap my pants this was the first time I have ever been to a casino and Im happy now lol so I print that voucher out put another 20.00 in his machine starts going off ding ding money keep going keep making dings adding up atoped at 510.00 so wow we had out trip paid for and more than we started with I put another 20.00 in mine spin nope 2end spins ding started going off again wooohh Im so happy hit 101.00 so I was like Im gonna print this out play my last 20.00 bill in my pocket then Im out of cash were gonna cash out and not be crazy and play what we won were gonna head home so we both had one more 20.00 to play with we both put it in he won 100.00 I won 110.00 so we walked in with 700.00 together 400.00 him 300.00 me we walked out with 1100.00 together and I hit 500.00 he hit 600.00
