We had our wedding reception here. We were excited about it until the day of the wedding when we couldnt get them to answer their phones even after leaving multiple voicemails. We were told all lessons would be cancelled so that we would have all day to set up and when family got there, lo and behold there were private lessons. Since our families didnt know this was the case, we had to set up food 20 minutes before our reception was to start!! When we asked for a partial refund for this, they declined and sent us instead a gift certificate for free dance lessons because theyd already dropped the rental price down by a paltry 200 out of the roughly 4000 that we spent. Seriously?! Katie, we really like you, but we are incredibly disappointed in how everything turned out and will not be recommending DS Event Center to anyone. It made our wedding day stressful and left us wondering why we chose that facility.
We have used Midpointe Event Center several times, because they are very accommodating and professional. We have also used them when we found obstacles at other venues they have been able to overcome. The rooms offer different size spaces for different size events, which many other places cannot, though we usually use multiple spaces at once which is also convenient as the smaller studio can act as a room for our sponsors. The parking lot fits hundreds of cars and is conveniently located between the two downtowns, not to mention right along the light rail line. In conclusion, their staff is friendly and easy to work with. We just used them last week for an event of about 130, and are using them again next month for a similar size audience. We are confident things will go smoothly once again.
Midpointe Event Center is absolutely beautiful! I held an event in the Majestic Hall and it was the perfect event space - high ceilings, hardwood floor, beautiful draping included, a large kitchen for all of your catering needs, and LOTS of parking available right in front of the venue. Additionally, I worked with Katie and Marcy on the event and they are exceptional at customer service. Katie helped me set up the A/V the day of the event and even assisted when my linens fell through. I couldnt recommend both of their event spaces, Majestic Hall and Sterling hall any more. They are the perfect space for any type of gathering whether it be a business meeting, luncheon, family reunion, or wedding! Midpointe Event Center truly is a gem in the Saint Paul Community!
I am a student council advisor for a local high school and we had our winter formal at Midpointe Event Center. The space was beautiful. Our students chose to decorate very little. We also had a separate room for pictures and a separate room for chaperones. With restrooms inside the ballroom, our students were able to stay close to the dance and enjoy themselves. The staff at Midpointe Event Center were also wonderful to work with. They were really helpful and patient with our students questions and changes to set-up. The staff was very transparent and easy to contact. They responded quickly to emails and phone calls. I am happy to say we are returning to Midpointe Event Center for our next winter formal. Lastly, it was a great price.
From the moment that we walked into the Majestic Hall at Midpointe Event Center, we knew this was going to be the place where we got married. From the beautiful hardwood floors, glass chandelier and tulle draped from the ceiling- this hall is a bride’s dream. Not to mention that the staff is equally wonderful. Pavi Versalles was our event coordinator and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She always answered questions promptly, was willing to set up meetings at our convenience and was great with contacting and organizing all the vendors before the wedding- she was even more AMAZING on the day of the wedding coordinating everything. This a wonderful venue to do business with!
Within walking distance from the Green Line made this the perfect location for the Midway Chamber of Commerces Lunch on the Line. The staff were friendly and attentive to every detail. The food was delicious! The polished hardwood flooring of the Majestic Hall was beautiful! As a musician I especially appreciated the excellent quality of their sound system. They allowed me to connect my piano into their sound system to provide dining music. The PA captured the quality of my piano well. I had a very pleasant experience at the Midpointe Event Center!
We hosted a business networking event at Midpointe Event Center and the staff there were amazing. They were all very friendly and made sure everyone felt welcome and that we had everything that we needed for our meeting. The space is VERY nice and spacious. There was plenty of parking space and easy to access from any part of the metro. I would highly recommend Midpointe Event Center and Dance Studio for any event or occasion you may be needing space for. I am definitively going to be using them again for future events and meetings.
Midpointe Event Center Staff is so friendly and professional. The location is very convenient and it is a huge added bonus that they have a large parking lot to accommodate a lot of guests for free! The new signage has also made the space have charming curb appeal. With multiple rooms, Midpointe is suitable for just about any type of event you could think of. The gorgeous hardwood floors add elegance to the space and the draping was beautiful! This venue is very affordable and Im very excited about events there in the future :)
We just had our wedding at Midpointe Event Center a couple of weeks ago and cant say enough good things about the venue or the people who work there. Especially Pavi. She was amazing from the start. She always answered my emails promptly, very understanding, always said yes to all my requests and actually delivered. She is awesome and I would recommend working with Pavi and this venue to any bride looking for a venue or an event!! The bartenders were wonderful as well. Thank you to all the Midpointe staff!!!
We came back to the Midpointe Event Center for our event because of their amazing staff and space. They were so accommodating to our needs, it made the planning process a smooth one. I love working with the staffs to ensure Im not forgetting something and if so, theyre such creative problem solvers. The new space is just beautiful to work with, I absolutely love it. Midpointe Event Center staff provided tremendous support before, during and after our big, corporate event. They made planning easy and seamless. We could not have pulled it off without their event coordination skills and expertise! The additional staff on-site during the event was a huge help! I recently had a wedding at Midpointe Event Center and it was beyond perfect! Rachael and the staff there were so helpful and organized. It wouldnt have been as beautiful as it was without their help. They were flexible with all of my needs and helped me work through any problems that came up last minute. Besides our decorations, the venue itself was gorgeous which made it very easy to decorate. I would highly recommend this venue for events and weddings.
