Review for buffet not casino! There is no option to leave a review just for the buffet, so I have to leave it on the general casino page. We have been going to the buffet for years for special occasions (It is pricier than a regular restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights, but they have seafood, steak and prime rib, which makes the price theyre asking seem reasonable) Tonight we went to the newly refurbished buffet and were extremely disappointed. Even though we only live 15 minutes away, we will never come back. While the atmosphere looks better (they did a great remodel), the only couple additions to the buffet was the fancy smoke/fire pit in the middle where they smoke fish, the skillet section (which they always had, they just revamped it), and their dessert section. While the smoked fish didnt taste bad, living in the Pacific Northwest, Ive had way better smoked fish from grocery stores even, or even the marina at Boston Harbor. The dessert section was always a favorite for my kids. This buffet is known for their famous pecan pie that trumps even pie that you can find in Texas. I know, as I lived in Texas for a time, lol. They did away with it! Theyre now served in these little tarts, where its impossible to even dig the crust out, so youre basically just eating the pecans and the corn syrup theyre prepared in. So disappointed! And all the other desserts are served much the same way. Its like theyre trying to be modern and fancy by putting these weird looking tarts and cream filled rolls on these tiny delicate plates, but really, it leaves a lot to be desired. Its like having a tea party with a toddler. My daughter kept complaining that she couldnt get the jello out of the fancy skinny cups they put them in them, and was resorting to trying to eat it with a butter knife. All the other menu items that stayed the same seem to have gone downhill as well. The steamed clams were dry and chewy. The signature dungeness crab wasnt the sweet texture were used to enjoying here. It too was dry and almost seemed overcooked. The prime rib wasnt rare, nor tender. Besides the fact that it was $85 dollars for 3 people to go there (so a $5 increase per person), we had to wait 50 MINUTES just to be seated (when, before the rehab, even if the line was to the door, we never waited more than 1/2 hour on Saturdays around the same time). The waitress never came to refill our drinks the entire meal, nor did she remove any of our plates, or bring any kind of utensils for eating the crab (I had to resort to breaking them by hand and using my fork and just piling the shells where I could). I think well just drive up to Oly from now on and go to the Chinese Buffet by the movie theatre. If were going to pay these prices, might as well get quality food. And at least the Chinese Buffet has sushi.

I will never go to this Casino ever again. First off, they had a shuttle that ran from Great Wolf Lodge that was not running, but the schedule showed it was, which is how we got to this Casino in the first place. Great Wolf called and they sent someone over with their shuttle. My group and another couple went to the Casino. Everything was fine until we needed to get a ride back to the Great Wolf Lodge. It was around midnight. We kept "missing" the shuttle even though we stood in front where it supposedly kept coming 15 minutes prior to the arrival. We waited for an hour and it did not come. We asked several times where the shuttle was. Finally around 2 am, we were fed up and asked to speak with someone regarding the shuttle. The "head" of security came over and told us that we were full of it and that the shuttle had come every single time and that we just missed it. We were in shock and asked him, "Everytime?" We waited one final time and at 3AM, the shuttle did not arrive. Around 3:30 am, we asked the front desk for help again and this "head" of security once again told us we missed it and that he saw it through the monitor come by. This was the last straw. We asked for the General Manager and the "head" of security told the Manager that we were lying because he saw himself. I called him out and said, "Fine! Pull the tapes if that is true. Show me. I want to see with my own eyes where this shuttle came and that we missed it." Obviously, he fired back that due to privacy issues they cannot show us the tapes. The General Manager finally had someone from security drive us back to the Great Wolf Lodge. We happened to drive by the lot where the shuttle (covered in ice) was parked behind a locked fence. Clearly it had not run since it picked us up. The couple that came with us left with us back to the Great Wolf Lodge. They did not leave our side when they realized what was happening. To top it off, some older men tried to rob us while waiting. They tried to pretend to be security and requested our driver licenses. We told them no, but they tried. *This occurred about a year and a half ago. Not sure if they kept their "head" of security. Hopefully, they replaced him. I am finally typing this because I believe that everyone should know about this shuttle service. It may be fine now. This would not have happened if they would have just told the hotel they were not going to run it that night and not just send someone out so we could spend our money.

We recently stayed at this hotel, however one thing is for positive, We will NEVER come back. Here is why: Our Son just turned 18 yrs old. As far back as I can remember my son dreamed of turning 18 so that he can finally go to a casino and gamble. We live in Central oregon so we put in alot of time researching where he could gamble, so he could decide where he wanted to go. He came across your casino and everything on your website, along with the receptionist told us that slot games age limit is 18 and table games is 21. It took us 6 +hours driving here to make his dream come true for his birthday. We go to eat then gamble but before we got past security the carded our son. As you can imagine how completely devastated we all were to find out that your website and reservationist lied. We did Not drive 6 + hours to find out it was all for nothing bcz he could only play less than 50 slots that dont have a chance in hell to win on. So after security told us this devastating news we decided to to go to your new grill/sportspub. The service we had was absolutely the worst we have ever had. Our Waitress came to our table 3 (1 to take our order 1 to give 1 round refills and lastly to give our check) times the entire 2 hours we were there. We only got our original drink and only 1 refill. The food was great but it took close to an hour and a half just to get our food. I asked for several items and never rcvd any of it. At the end of our dinner she brought our check told us she would be our cashier when we were ready and she left. After 10 or 15 mins of waiting for her to come back I decided I wasnt going to wait any longer and took the check to the hostest desk. The gal there wouldnt ring up my bill, insisting that our waitress needed to ring it up. She proceeded to yell for her like twenty times across the restaurant . Finally our waitress came over and completed to process my card. We ended up leaving a night earlier than planned. Thank you very, very much for ruining our trip to make is dream come true. Not only will I never come back, but I will be giving your casino and hotel a 1 out 10 stars.
