First off, and most importantly to me, customer service is terrible. We were both told on the phone that we would receive a late check out but were denied upon check in. Front desk couldnt care less. My friends reservation was not entered right (they came the evening before me but the reservations were made together) . They had a 2 queen for themselves and her parents. They were given 4 keys at check-in (all were at the desk) then when they asked for 2 more pillows and some extra towels (as there were only 3 pillows in room) they were told they would have to pay an additional $40 per person. My Room was nice, had a single king with a fireplace really close to the foot of the bed, I actually slept sideways on the foot of the bed for the warmth (I love a cold room with fireplace heat at your front) so that was very nice. I had tons of pillows and would have given my friends party some of mine, but I checked in on Saturday... Could not get a cocktail in the casino to save my life, had to go to the bar... A decent amount of slot machines but only about 10 table games (only 1 roulette table and 1 craps table, which are our games, then maybe 8 other card games) Food that I got from the snack bar was decent but the scallops and fish didnt seem fresh, not bad, but not fresh. They are on the ocean in Washington state... Seafood should never be a problem. Fries and shrimp were great. Buffalo wings are breaded and not sauced after deep fried, but still decent "bar food". I tried to speak with a manager to voice my concern upon check in and was told I would be contacted, and never was. In conclusion, my party had a Ying-Yang experience with the quality with the room, same experience with the staff, and while I didnt win, that doesnt matter to me at all. I WILL NOT GO BACK, absolutely not worth the drive from Spanaway, let alone Seattle... It just was a sub-par experience compared to many other tribal casinos (many of which Ive lost my ass at, but had a great time) I just feel that when you are there to spend money and they are charging almost $240 a night (in March, not peak season) a much better experience should be had, win, lose, or draw.
My wife and I decided to come to this location for our anniversary. My views of this experience is as follows: Restaurant food and service - excellent, bar staff, casino staff, and casino itself - excellent, hotel room - unsatisfactory. We got the ocean view king size smoking room and it was quite a disappointment. the room smelled hardly any ventiliation, the window only opened to a 45 degree angle if that!!!!! carpets by the table was stained very badly, wife found a long black hair in the tub, the TV was blurred and fuzzy and several channels, called the front desk which sent a maintenance tech up and was able to fix the reception. Also didnt get all the channels that was being advertised on their channel listing and no HBO guide. We wasted $18 on a rental that we was able to watch but not fully enjoy because of the blurred and fuzzy screen. The king size bed was horrible. when we laid down we felt like we were skiing down a slope backwards!!! Head going down and feet in the air REALLY?!!! It was the worst night of sleep for both of us!!!! Upon checking out on 6/2/2013 the front desk clerk asked how are stayed was and when we started acknowledging the things that was unsatisfactory we got no apology, very little to no eye contact. The clerk seem to be in training but the person standing behind her gave nothing at all not even an eye contact (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) The valet staff was 300x more polite than the front desk personnal. Not only did we feel un appreciated at least we were discounted $40 (WOW!) but I do not believe we will never ever stay in this resort but will visit the casino and restaurant again. If I was an undercover boss for this establishment I would have been totally humiliated for the service by the hotel. NOW I SEE WHY THE OTHER GUESTS HAD BAD REVIEWS BECAUSE WE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING!! IT WAS AN I DONT GIVE A ----! ATTITUDE HORRIBLE
Enjoyed our stay. We did not have an ocean view room but ours was still great. The casino is smaller than others weve been to but the selection of slots had most of our favorites. Things we didnt like: no cell phone/camera use on the casino floor. If you want a photo of you winning or whatever, the players club offers a service where they will take your picture and email it to you. I was informed that my purse was a backpack and they dont allow those on the casino floor. That ticked me off as there were women with purses 2 and 3 times the size of mine allowed to keep them. It was suggested maybe I dont wear it on my back but keep it slug on my arm. Yeah no. The whole point of that style of purse is to be able to have it secure and your arms free. After the little inconveniences of the phone/camera and purse rules, we still had a good time. The live band was PHENOMENAL and I would make the trip back just to see them again. The margaritas were perfection as well. We didnt go for the seafood buffet but had fish and chips in the bar area. It was good but I wouldnt classify it as "famous " as they have on their menu. Our breakfast the morning we checked out came with our room package. It was the Olympic Special. It included 2 of your choice of bacon, sausage or Canadian bacon, two eggs any style and two toast of your choice. Drinks were extra. Hats off to the folks in the kitchen as my eggs were exactly how I love them. All in all a good birthday weekend getaway.

I spent $120 on an 80 minutes "Serenity Massage", which is already expensive for a massage but my husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversay so I figured I would splurge. HUGE mistake. Although, I did feel relaxed, I would not call the massage a "massage". I would probably call it more a light back rub. I figured the massuese may be starting out softly because I had recently had a back injury but half way into the massage she showed no signs of giving it her all. I was the last appointment of the day (5:30pm) and I just felt like she was lazy. Not once did she ask what I would like, or make sure I was doing ok (not that I like a lot of chit chat when im trying to relax but at least one "how are you doing" would have been appreciated). I feel as a high paying customer that I shouldnt have to innitiate TELLING HER what I wanted and thought she should ask. So i left feeling irritated. My husband went back the next day to complain and hopefully get the money back (or at least a portion of it) and they pretty much said no and it was my responisibility to let the masseuse know. I have never had a massage where it was MY responsibility! Other places ALWAYS ask. Anyway, point is, I dont recommend it but if you decide to spend the money anyway, make sure to let them know what you want or Im sure theyll do it their (lazy) way.
