Awesome place, me and my friends go to watch the show, its great, they have awesome performers, the music is good, the drinks are a little in the expensive side for my taste but they are good, they have a drinks menu they can make you, i ask one of the bar tenders to make me a drink and he didnt know how, but other than that its a good place to hangout, dance, they have a smoking area outside, and there is 3 bars where you can get your drinks, they are really friendly and if you want to put together something for somebodys birthday, wedding or anything they are willing to help you.

Im going to give the 5 star to make up for the two star review that I saw. No where did I see or mention that this was a gay bar/nightclub. Complaining about a cover charge and complaining over small issues is meaningless. Considering that the rest of the reviews where positive experiences, dont let his negative view on this place of business sway your decision to go and have fun.

Bartenders were super nice and music was going ok. DJ turned out to be super rude and acted above us. Refused to take requests and scoffed when we requested music that wasnt "current." We are from out of town and will seriously reconsider whether or not to go back here, or come back to Des Moines for anything GLBT related.

A good gay club. Nice people, didnt feel any gay pressure ( I am straight), really good atmosphere. In my opinion, people are free to express themselves Wether straight, gay, or otherwise. Good place to feel acepted.

The garden is a club that is frequented by the gay community and our area they have many events happening each week at least one drag show and other charity events
