Poorly run with extremely rude managers. During a recent visit another attendant had their phone out, and off silent. When the manager was approached about this he refused to do anything about it. Then kept me in the hallway to explain what was going on for over a half an hour despite the other patron admitted to using his cell phone. When I was finally done and went back to the movie they pulled me out again to answer more questions, then released me to go back and finish my movie until they asked me to come out again because the idiot with a cell phone wouldnt leave. When I finally got fed up with the situation the manager refused to provide me with a refund. He then lied to the cops that had come to extort the person with a cell phone out of the building. Luckily for me several witnesses came forward and proved that the extent of what I had done was tell the person to put the cell phone away. When I asked him for his managers number he refused saying I could find it myself he additionally refused to provide the names of two other witnesses. I was able to find it myself and have filed a complaint with cinematic corporate office. They have assured me that they will take care of the manager. Save your money from this trash theater and go to the megaplex. It costs the same but has much better service.

Cinemark at University Mall caught me by surprise and wowed me tonight. We had purchased tickets for our first Fathom Event (The Abolitionists) and we thought they were assigned seats. We showed up just before showtime and were informed that the theater was changed and that there would be a manager assisting us to our new seats. Apparently, Im kind of picky when it comes to my seats and I must have not a had a nice look on my face when I wasnt going to get an aisle seat. (Hey, I like the extra space). After we were seated (still in decent seats, but not the aisle) the manager approached us and asked if we needed the aisle seat and if so, they would be happy to find us one. I was a little embarrassed because I must have shown my dissatisfaction at some point which led to this offer. We said we were fine (which we were) and thought nothing else of it. On our way out of the theater another employee stopped us, apologized for the inconvenience and gave us two tickets to a future show to express their concern. That wasnt at all expected. Im still amazed that they were able to pick up on my initial frustration and even more amazed that they approached me twice to make sure all was good. Way to go above and beyond!

Of all the local theaters in the area, this is the best you can get without heading up to the Megaplex Theatre at the Gateway. The picture is great, the sound is awesome, and the seating is good. However, the foyer layout is horrible. The lines are confusing and often head out the doors and pretty much go where the last person in line wants to stand. The theater is often so full that in order to get the best seats youre showing up an hour before the movie starts. The popcorn and drink deals are really just the cost of the drink and popcorn seperate. And, their smaller screens are tiny. I wouldnt recommend watching anything on their smaller screens, and I believe that screen 8 is their largest. My family and I are big movie buffs. We watch movies every weekend, usually watching shows the weekend they come out, and have been to all the local theaters hundreds of times over the years.

My husband and I have visited this theater many times (really close to our house). We went down there tonight to catch Exodus, but upon arriving there was informed the showing had been canceled due to a "more popular movie." Before leaving our house, we checked the website to be sure it was playing. It literally took less than 3 minutes to get there! If youre going to cancel a showing, at least post it on your website! On top of the movie being canceled, the cashier offered no sincerity in her response, as if this were a common occurrence and we shouldnt be surprised the movie was canceled. I have never heard of this or experienced this before -- and I have been one of two people to watch a movie in that theater on more than a few occasions.

Just visited tonight and had a great customer service experience. I had purchased my tickets in advance online, somehow they got lost and the system didnt have it (evidently using PayPal on Fandango causes this problem) and I was quite frustrated that I blew 25 dollars and had no record of it. Speaking to the manager she was extremely kind and patient with me and helped us through the problem. We got to into the movie on time and I couldnt have been more pleasantly surprised by the way the manager handled it. I could tell this wasnt a one time thing, and that she took care of customers who had issues, that type of leadership trickles down to the other workers as well. Great theater, will obviously bring my business back.

This was a fantastic theater to go to until they began the so-called "reserved seating" system. It sounds like a great idea, but it really takes away from the movie-going experience. Instead of the time honored first come, first served system, people can show up well after the movie starts with all 15 of their children and have their seats saved. This is both annoying and distracting. Kiosk lines are longer than ever as people are forced to choose which seats they want on a screen rather than choosing with their feet. Even with the "reserved seating," you will be lucky if no one is in your seat when you arrive in the theater. I will be taking my money and my family elsewhere.

The staff was lazy and apathetic. The manager I got to assist me with my purchase did not care at all about anything I was trying to relay. There were a few people who were just doing their jobs, and i understand that its not easy to please everyone. The base level employees who assisted me with my refund were great, however the management was horrible to say the absolute best of them. Cinemark is great, great movies, sound, etc. Dont be discouraged about the franchise, however its worth your extra 5 minutes to drive to the one a little bit north. The staff was terrible. Clean though. Good custodian.

If I didnt have to watch movies anywhere else, I wouldnt. I usually take one of my days off each month to watch a few movies all at once. The Cinemark app is wonderful; the box office and concessions are up to date with innovation. They have always kept their restrooms very clean. The best part is that the seats in EVERY HOUSE are their Luxury Loungers. The only thing they have left to do is update some houses to XD Cinema, although I honestly dont notice much of a difference since producers dont format their movies for XD Cinema anyhow.

I got a horrible stomach virus right in time for my birthday. My husband had pre-purchased tickets for a showing a week before. We thought we were out the money but we called just in case. The employee on the phone was SO nice and even said she hoped I got better. She said if my husband came in they could switch out the tickets, and they did! So generous, the experience with the theater itsself (the seats, the projection and sound) is always stellar. Theyre pretty awesome here, and I love being able to reserve my seats in advance!
