My husband and I went to this theater Saturday evening for his birthday. We bought tickets an hour beforehand and went to dinner nearby. When we entered the theater it was close to the start time of the movie, but previews were still playing. There were a lot of people in the theater, but there were still several open seats. We began looking for two together, but conveniently they were all being held. Single seats were open, but not two together. I spoke with senior manager Kristina who was in the theater. Instead of having a couple people move over ONE SEAT so that we can sit together she offered two separate seats. We declined because we are there on a date, our first in 6 months FOR MY HUSBANDS BIRTHDAY. We werent about to sit separate. I again asked if she can have some people move over one seat to accommodate us. She said theres nothing she can do. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU ARE THE SENIOR MANAGER? YOU CANT MOVE A COUPLE PEOPLE TO ACCOMMODATE ALL YOUR GUESTS? She started talking about policy at which point we decided to get a refund. She was arrogant and unwilling to help us. Again, this was on my husbands birthday, but all of the teenagers holding seating took priority. We will not be returning to this theater due to the terrible customer service exhibited by Kristina. What a great policy, sell out a theater and then act helpless when your paying customers are being excluded. This was a damper on our night and I hope you dont waste your money here.

This seems to be more of a social gathering than a place of employment.... first the ticket booth people were completely ignoring me as I waited in line and it wasnt until I walked up to a window and initiated conversation did the teller look at me with disgust as I had interrupted their conversation and in turn would cause them to perform the job they were tasked to. ...the ticket taker was good no problems there...... but again..... the concessions looked and sounded like a high school cafeteria as the employees were sipping on their drinks and talking about weather or not "Employee A" saw the cute outfit "Employee B" wore to the recent gathering. For at least 3 minutes we "the customers" looked at each other in confusion no knowing if we should interrupt or wait for the welcoming "How can I help you" from behind the counter. Adittionally as I was walking to the theater I witnessed what looked to be a manager (wearing a business jacket ) having his own social gathering laughing and carrying on not delegating tasks but instead talking about his experience with 4x4ing...at this point this comment seems kind of pointless since even the management seems to be in, on the social gathering attitude of this particular theatre and with that being so; Im sure this comment will most likely fall on ears to preoccupied with what ever unimportant social gathering or event is happening at the time

This is always our theatre of choice specifically because its the closest but if the staff keeps up with their attitude, I will sure be bringing my business elsewhere.. last time I went, we were seeing SPLIT and we were getting our drinks and popcorn. The guy didnt greet us or even SPEAK the entire transaction... typically, the staff is friendly, its fairly clean, and they do their job. Im typically at the "satisfied/met my needs" level with this place, but this guy definitely dropped the ball on my last visit and has me thinking Harkins will hire any teenager in need of a job.

This place makes it such a hassle compared to other harkins Ive been to. They act like its a club not a theater. I understand that some theaters you need I.D but dont make it such a hassle if one person is 21 years old dont make EVERYBODY pull out I.D I thought if an adult (21) was present itll be fine but nope we all had to show I.D literally 3 TIMES. Upon arriving, entrance to theater, and again right before entering theater. First time attending this theater in SanTan and dont plan on going back.

Shame on you for discriminating against someone with special needs. I will never patronize a business that wont accept my son for who he is and youve made it very apparent that you are incapable of any sensitivity towards people with developmental disabilities based on the information provided to the special needs community today. You picked the wrong group of parents to make angry.

Theater is clean however restrooms could use a spruce (but lets be honest no high schooler working there wants that duty I never did). Staff are nice, prices on concessions are high (but this where they make the money so I understand). Make use of the Hawkins cup and T-shirt promo to save on drinks & popcorn. Easy to get parking near by with shade which is a must in this area.

I will never patronize this theater again after the way the manager discriminated against a group of special needs individuals. It is disgraceful that in 2016, such insensitivity exists. Shame on you Harkins San Tan. As the mother of a special needs child, we will be taking our business elsewhere. My child does not deserve to be subjected to that.

Great theater. Always friendly staff, comfy seats and awesome loyalty program. You can buy a Harkins shirt for $20 and receive a free medium popcorn at each visit, or upgrade to a large for $1. They also have loyalty cups for $1.50 soda refills. I find the pricing on the snacks to be about average for a movie theater.

Really expensive snacks. Cant even get a cup of sink water without being charged the same price as if you buy a soda. $4.50 for a pre packaged ice cream cone. $9 for a hot dog. The ticket guy was rude. The lady who takes tickets to get in was rude and the cashier at the snack bar didnt know the menu.

Love this theater for the simple fact it has daycare for kids! The daycare has games, movies, toys, arts and crafts, enough to keep kids happy and having fun. They give kids free popcorn in the daycare too. The customer service is excellent and the theater is pretty clean.

This location is always super busy. There is more of a high school crowd at this theatre and it can be very annoying. Normally, this is not the theatre I come to for a good movie going experience, it is the one closest to my house.

Beautiful, comfortable theatre with a great concessions at reasonable (for a theatre) prices with LOTS of great loyalty discounts. The seats are wonderfully comfortable though the aisles are a tad narrow for us taller folk.

Gotta love Harkins Theaters! Free refills on large and extra large popcorn, $1.50 drinks with a refillable cup, comfortable seat, clean bathrooms, and a large variety at the snack bar make this my go-to movie theater.

Everytime we go we have a great time! The theatres are clean and comfortable. I always feel like Im back in a small town. I love the size of the theatre and the personnel working there. We never go anywhere else!

My friend dropped her popcorn and drink and there was a nice gentleman who we filled it for free and then my friend dropped in her drink again and he refilled it for free I love your service and thank you very much

Other than turn-over in staff this is my favorite place to watch movies. Staff is always pleasant, even if they are new. The selection of films is good, although I would like to see them try some foreign films.
