Its a bit different due to the fact that its a theatre in a mall. So expect there to be a lot lines due to tourists/military at times and the staff is working as hard as they can. There is reserved seating at the AMC theatre so you can buy your tickets and show up late and still have your seats saved. If someone is in your seat dont panic call a theatre employee they will fix the problem. :] If you are BUYING TICKETS ONLINE if you are allowed to picks seats you have chosen the reclining chairs. If you are NOT ALLOWED TO CHOOSE SEATS you have chosen the AMC IMAX THEATRE. The seats are reclining chairs at the AMC Rivercenter 11 theatre. If you buy tickets at the "AMC IMAX" these seats are old school chairs not reclining chairs. It has a 7 story screen and 6 story screen. The IMAX has theatres 10-11 which is located on the 2nd floor by Victorias secret so park on crocket street its closer to the "AMC IMAX". If you bought a AMC reserved seating ticket which will display the number 1-9 when you have ticket go to the 3rd floor by the comedy club. You can park at east commerce parking garage on floor D it will be right in front of the theatre. For those who want some tips. Get an AMC "FREE" stubs card called "Insider". It provides you with 2 dollars off ticket on Tuesdays. If you pay online use the FREE AMC stubs card "Insider" it bypasses that 3 dollar service fee. You get free refills and free large popcorn on your birthday with Free AMC STUBS INSIDER. Say if your not a fan of lines get the AMC PREMIERE CARD. If you been to Six flags you are familiar with getting a card that allows you to skip the line. Amc has a similar card called the Premiere card that allows you to skip the long line at box office and concession. It costs 15 bucks. If you wanted to be treated like royalty get this card and follow the gold, not black stanchion lines at either box office and concession stand marked AMC PREMIERE LINE" Further the AMC PREMIERE CARD also allows you to get a free large popcorn and soda on your birthday, free refills, 5 dollars back for every 5,000 points you earned spend. 5 dollars off your ticket on Tuesdays. If you want to save on tickets prices get the free insider card or the 15 dollar premiere card. Tuesday will provide you with cheap movie prices. The first show of the day on weekends is about 5.86 cents. Plus you get 3 hours free parking if you park at east commerce mall garage or crockett garage. You can also buy tickets at the kiosk as well. If you bought tickets already at home go to the kiosk and push the pick up tickets and swipe the credit card you made the purchase with instead of waiting in line and missing your movie. Theatres like people are inclined to have mistakes and are not perfect at times. Give a smile and positive attitude and you can be guaranteed a smile and positive attitude back. I hope this helps. :]

This review is for IMAX Theater 11, since I wouldnt dare encompass the entire theatre to one experience. However, this was a trip. Went to see "Interstellar" last night in IMAX. Parking in the garage and finding the proper floor to get to for the IMAX experience was quite the challenge. There is not a clear route to getting there. At all. And a few of the employees had no idea how to get to the IMAX portion and/or were very unclear with their directions. Once we got to the main AMC Theater section, my girlfriend and I realized that we were in the wrong section for IMAX. The window clerk told us to go downstairs 2 floors and make a left. We did that through the elevators, but were supposed to go through the escalators. Go figure. Then, it was actually to the right, not the left. When we finally get to the IMAX portion, it was after trekking through the actual mall that the theater is attached to. There should honestly be painted arrows on the ground. With the mall closed at 10pm, the route to the theater couldnt be any less clear. We were then directed to walk through a souvenir shop. Finally, were in theater 11. We went to our seats, which we chose randomly, and passed multiple seats entirely covered in a white plastic bag. The seats we sat in had a middle arm rest that was completely loose from its housing, and was just plain broken. The seats were very stiff and uncomfortable. The back to the seats were almost angled towards you rather than even straight up and down. The movie was fantastic, but the screen itself wasnt very bright, since the lit-up, red "Exit" sign on either side of the screen added a red hue to the movie. The entire time. It was honestly very frustrating, since ive been to official IMAX Experiences all over South Florida. Ill go to this theater again this same weekend to see "Fury", but not in IMAX, since I hear the seats otherwise are Leather and they recline. We shall see, but with this review, im being as fair as possible.

DONT WASTE UR TIME! Their seating arrangement sux! Our blended fam saw 2 separate movies, my boyfriend n 2 of our kids got sold the same seats to a couple that ended up leaving cuz of situation. However me n my sons experience was a topper....I had to sit 1 row in front of my son(no prob) but when I go in some1 is sitting in my seat which Im not a drama queen so I tell my son Ill chill with him till movie starts n find an empty seat! Movie starts I start going down the rows n their is no empty seat, so I go back to sitting on the floor next to my son Im watching movie on my knees after a bit of dwelling on it I do get upset thinking why would they sell more tickets than they have seats!!! So I go looking for a manager which I am told to wait for, after talking to 2 employees,(movie still going)I tell manager there is no where to sit n they sold more tickets than they have seats n for him please dont to tell the person in my seat to move. He states, "thats my job" n walks off in the theater, he goes through the theater himself n sees there is no empty seat. After trying to tell me they sold me a wheelchair space, common sense goes back n forth between us(movie still going) the manager ends up asking the lady in my seat for her ticket tells her to go to her seat goes to the man sitting in hers n what do ya know its an employee so he leaves I get to sit down lady is leaning in starring at me I try to explain situation to her(movie still going)! I miss the beginning of movie followed by some occasional starring from the couple next to me!

The first time I came to this place was to see Beauty and the Beast back in May. Their tickets are somewhat expensive, but their seats are comfy. Do bring a jacket, as the theaters are chilly from time to time. One thing I have to say is that I wish their prices for concessions were less expensive, but its a typical movie theater. I have went back two more times; each experience was somewhat better than the last one, and the employees there are very nice. If you do buy their food, I would stick with just the regular snacks, like popcorn and soda, and the mozzarella sticks and candies. (Milk Duds and Kit-Kats are my favorites.) They even have a device where you can add more butter as needed. (Do not put too much of the flavoring in the silver container on the popcorn, or it will be too salty; I learned that the hard way.) I highly recommend the chicken and waffle sandwich if you do choose to buy a meal besides your standard snacks and sides. Do arrive at least two hours before your scheduled showing, get your ticket early. Above all, this theater is a must for all patrons.
