How often does Chef Aaron Sanchez Inspect what his name is on??? my wife and I are big fans of the House of Blues (been to 4 so far, Atlantic City, Vegas and Cleveland as well as our recent stop at Myrtle Beach) and are big fans of the Food network shows and of Chef Sanchez as well, so we were pleasantly surprised to see the combination of both ( A chef Sanchez designed menu) the Decor was very well done with a lot of great artwork it was really quite impressive, but that was the highlight, fortunately we did get some good pictures, it was mid week and early (about 5:30 pm so it was by no means crowded or busy, I thought it was interesting how our waitress made it very clear that this was an Aaron Sanchez Designed Menu and that we should read the descriptions carefully because Chef Sanchezs recipes are known for being a bit Spicy!!!... well... we read the menu carefully and made our selections, I choose Red Rose Garlic Mashed Potatoes Topped with Cotija Cheese and Applewood Bacon as a side dish and Island Turkey Burger Seasoned with Jamaican spices topped with Cheddar cheese on a chipotle mayo brushed potato bun, served with crispy field greens and sliced Roma tomatoes as my main dish,(well written and makes your mouth water doesnt it?) sadly as well written as the are they both were, they were extremely disappointing to eat, not only did the Island Turkey burger lack heat of any type, both dishes were Severely Under seasoned!!! I am not sure exactly what is involved when a Chef Designs a menu and puts his name and picture on it, so I may be expecting too much, but if I were a Celebrity Chef with the Reputation as good as Aaron Sanchez I would be checking in regularly on the quality and consistency of the food that is going out of that kitchen... for the record it was not horrible, what I expected was something bold and full of flavor and what i got was something slightly better that a fast food burger, a bit harsh yes but it was not anywhere near the Standards we have come to expect from of the House of Blues and Definitely not the Standard of Aaron Sanchez!

Highly disappointed in their customer service. We purchased tickets for the Bush concert on May 7th and we asked then to upgrade our tickets to VIP and were told we could not upgrade at that time because it wasnt yet available...to call back May 1st and we could upgrade then. So we purchased our 3 tickets and thought we would call and upgrade them a week before the show...no big deal. My husband calls this afternoon to verify our confirmation number for our tickets so he can be better prepared to upgrade quickly Monday morning and little does he find out the VIP tickets are SOLD OUT with the exception of ONE. The representative he spoke with today told him their policy on upgrading to VIP changed a couple weeks after we purchased our tickets?!? He asked when the policy changed in which she replied February. We purchased our tickets in February and when he asked to verify the date we purchased she simply said "oh Id have to go back in the system and check" in which she acted like it was too much hassle to do and brushed him off. He asked if there was anything at all they could do to accommodate us for our troubles and flat out there was NO, absolutely not. We saw Seether in January of last year and had an amazing time. The venue had awesome sound and we had a wonderful experience there. We were pumped to go back and see one of my favorite bands of literally all time, but this has put a huge damper on our view of your customer service/venue.

The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach advertised their New Years Eve concert as a "non-smoking event". During the concert, many people in the crowd were smoking. As I looked around, many people at the bar were smoking, as well. There were employees all around the facility in red shirts, not doing a thing about the smokers. I pointed this out to two red-shirted employees who were in the crowd right behind me. Nothing was done. After midnight the atmosphere was filled with smoke even more, so I decided to leave. On my way out I saw one of the employees against the way laughing with a beer girl. I asked to speak to a manager. He refused to get the manager for me. I pointed out the smokers to him, and he said that he was doing everything he could do to get them to stop (Leaning against the wall talking to a beer girl?? OK). I told him that his answer was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a manager. He yelled in my face to get the f*** out. On my way out I stopper 3 more employees and asked if I could speak to the manager. One of them finally got him for me. I expressed my concern and nothing was done. Besides this, the drinks were prices WAYYYYY to high, the bathrooms are so dirty, and there were so many 17—20 year old KIDS drinking and falling on the floor drunk.

Terrible communication! My family was excited about going initially. We called at 8pm and asked when they stopped serving and we were told 10 and that they would be serving ribs at the deck. We arrived at 9 and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to direct us or help. We got to the deck and were told that today they werent serving food at the deck but they usually do. Then we walked over to restaurant and waiters were intentionally trying to not make eye contact so we could ask to be served. Then the hostess tell us they are not serving anyone else. I look at my watch and it says 910. There were plenty of tables available. And when we told the hostess we were told on the phone we would have time to be served she look at us like we were lying. They didnt offer carry out or even seem like they cared about serving us. Highly disappointed and plan on never coming back. They need to work on communication and being consistent across the board.

We were planning to use House of Blues to hold our vow renewal ceremony, but the director of sales, Tammy was very unprofessional and unresponsive. Initially, she claimed I hadnt received a response to my initial request because the date we requested had already passed. However, my phone number was included in the email and no one reached out. Second, we were not told upfront that there was a $1,500 minimum to use a private room, with 30 guests (that she was aware of) for 2 hours until AFTER she sent a menu, we made our selections and was awaiting a response with the proposal amount, which was the last thing needed to finalize our customized invitations. Instead, she responded with information that should have been given upfront to avoid wasting time. I hope they do better and your experience is better than ours.

HOB is all about taking your money. I ordered a grilled cheese that took 25 minutes to get, and it was so hard you could not eat it. Went to see Jackyl and it was the worst rock show I have ever seen. The band was more into getting drunk than playing music. The music was so loud you could not hardly tell what they were playing, and half the time his mike was not working. It was a total joke. Anyone planning on going to throttlefest in the future dont waste your money. Be sure to take lots of money the drinks are highest priced I have ever seen. And if you are on the floor you will more than likely be involved in a fight or see one. I have been here two times and it never fails. You never see security until its to late. Will not go back again.
