Advance Ticket Seating: Customers appreciate the advance ticket seatings but have mixed feelings about how it's managed. Some feel that the system is prone to abuse, as people can easily join others in line, disrupting the order.
Staff Responsiveness: The general manager's handling of customer complaints has been criticized. Customers feel that the manager should enforce rules more strictly to ensure fairness.
Comfort and Cleanliness: The theater is generally described as clean and comfortable, enhancing the movie-watching experience.
Assigned Seating: The theater has moved to an assigned seating system, which some customers find inconvenient. They feel that this system forces them to purchase tickets online to get decent seats.
Online Booking: The ability to book tickets online is seen as both a convenience and a nuisance. While it saves time, the additional fee for online booking is a point of contention.
Ticket Costs: Tickets are slightly more expensive compared to other theaters, but customers find the experience worth the extra cost.
Concession Prices: Customers find the prices of concessions to be high. They feel that the quality of the food should match the price.
Seating: The theater features fully reclining leather seats, which customers find to be a significant upgrade.
Concessions: The theater offers a variety of food options and free refills on large sizes of soda and drinks.
Soda Machines: Customers have noted that the soda machines often show many flavors as empty, even during the first showings of the day.
Group Seating: If you're going with more than two people, finding seats together can be challenging unless booked online.

Let me start out by saying the advance ticket seatings are great! I am actually grateful that corporate took my compliant serious, and perhaps I may have contrbuited to this great result. Here was the situation. My family and I went to see Insidious 2 on this specific day. Since it was a new release, we anticipated the lines are going to be long. We arrived an hour early to the showing, got in line and remained in line. Ahead of us were 5 black high school students. So, 15 minutes before the staff were going to let people take their seats, the number of people ahead of us TRIPLED to 20! (I literally counted each head.) We called the GENERAL MANAGER over, explained that there were originally 5 people ahead of us but the extra 15 showed up from no where. I was upset at the general managers respond as she told me she was not here and cannot do anything about it. I was so angry that I told her to ask everyone else who lined up after us. Everyone behind me can vouch that there was only 5 people to begin with. The general manager then returned to talk to the "guardian" of these 20 teenagers. After what seemed to be 15 minutes, the manager comes back and said theres nothing she can do. But, can she change my time slot for me? She assured me there are still going to be good seats left for my family and I. Now Im really post. You see, Im an adult and I can defiantly let a few kids slide. But, we were talking about 20 disrespect kids, who was quoting "I had a dream" from Dr. King. I was not going to buy this kind of insult. It was never about the "good seats," but rather about common sense, curiosity, and respect for people in general. So of course, these kids get their way and NOTHING WAS DONE. As soon as I took my seating in the theatre, I marched right back out to get the managers name and contact number, as I told her I will contact corporate in this matter. She tried to bribe by giving me free tickets, but once again, this isnt about free tickets or good seatings. She apologized and told me she was put under a very difficult situation (meaning the black kids were trying to pull the race card.) I did not excuse her action, because I;m Asian myself. For Gods sake, I could had said shes was being racist towards me, but thank goodness my parent taught me better. I dont need to resort to such childish play. Heres my take on the whole situation- she, the "general manager" should have been able to tell these kids to get back at the end of the line. But instead, she bowed down and let them have their way. So, people...the next time you want to complain about how horrible this assigned seatings are, think about my situation. How would you feel if that was you and your family?

I want to like this place...but I cant. Here is why... They did away with the first come first serve seating. You now get assigned seating and with that comes the ability to purchase them online through fandango. While this may sound great...I can order online ahead of time and even pick the seats I want....however this comes at a premium. While I understand that fandango needs to make money and its only $1.25 a ticket, it adds up if you are taking a family. This also creates a situation where you basically cant get decent seats UNLESS you buy it online. Everyone else does and you are stuck way upfront or on the sides. More then 2 people? good luck sitting together. The last two times visits, Ive had people yell at me for being in their seat, even though I wasnt and they were just lost. Comfort.... This area is actually a positive for AMC CR. The place is clean and extremely comfortable. The quality of the showing is fantastic too. Concessions: Popcorn is average, salt is plain table salt and pathetic. They have those fancy soda machines with 100+ flavors. The problem is that the last two occasions I have been there, over half of the flavors were shown as empty in all 4 machines. The last time it was 10:50am....first real showing of the day. What kind of place cant have their system ready to go at the first showing of the day. Pretty pathetic. these machines are also a HUGE pain as people dont know what they are doing and then spend a few minutes playing around with it. It is similar to trying to pickup/return a movie at redbox, but the person in front of you is going through every single title and reading all the descriptions. Not a very relaxing experience to say the least. Prices....Going to the theater has never been a cheap thing. But the prices on concessions are just absurd. Id almost be ok with paying for them if the quality was on par. If AMC is going to charge such high prices, step up the quality and offer actual popcorn salt and make sure your soda machines are in working order. End result: After 2 recent attempts, Im going to continue to give my business to Andover Cinema. Andover just had major renovations and the place is fantastic. Pricing is much better and the overall experience is much preferred. I may return to AMC again, but Ill skip the soda and go well after the the movie has premiered. Then I can avoid being forced to buy my ticket online.

This is not a typical move theater so you need to prepare in advance and have the right expectations. This theater has transformed into a high end movie watching experience. The typical fold down seats have been upgraded to fully reclining (electric motor), leather, lazy-boy style chairs. This is is wonderful because it allows two things. The first is that it gives you a ton of leg room so that you are not having to get up everything someone in your isle needs to use the restroom or grab a refill. The second is that is allows even the closest seats to be great seats because there is no need to strain your neck. The byproduct of these great new seats is that there are far fewer seats in the theater. This leads to the biggest complaint I hear about, assigned seating. I would argue that assigned seats are great, as long as you are prepared. This allows you to ensure you get the best seat possible and reserve your tickets days in advance. You no longer need to worry about getting to the theater an hour in advance to ensure good seats, enough seats together for your group, or that it will be sold out when you get there. You can spend a little more time at dinner or the bar to take full advantage of your night out. The concessions are very nice, the food is good, there are a lot of options, and there are free refills of soda and drinks if you purchase the largest size. The cost is a little high, but there is no requirement to purchase anything. The ticket prices are a little higher than most as well. However, the experience is well worth the extra expense. Again, this is a high end theater. If cost if a major factor for you, there are other theaters in the area that may be a better choice. However, if you are looking for a great movie experience, there are none in the area that can come close. Treat this movie theater like a live theater. You should purchase tickets in advance, expect to spend a little extra money, and prepare for an experience that is above your typical movie theater.
