When I lived in Leesburg that was a great place to go work out and play in the pool. Since weve moved, theyve made great improvements however I think the signage could use a little more work. I had gone there earlier this week for a play date at their play grounds so I followed the sign to go left to the play ground after coming into the park. I had to play the turn around and drive up and down the parking lot to find the play ground game as there were no other signs telling me where to go for the buildings OR play grounds. I finally found it but was so annoyed at the lack of signage I went to another play ground. They have two play grounds and it would have been nice to see a sign for both. The second one has no signs indicating where it is (which is to the right as you get up to the buildings and around the back of the recreation center, to the left before you follow the road to the aquatic center) but found that one a bit easier than the other one as it was closer to the parking lot and road. I think if the signage was better Id give this a better review. I DO plan on going to the aquatic center one day after it opens to check it out with my son. And I would go here again, now that I know where everything is itll be less stressful.

The facility is beautiful and very clean. However I was a little bit annoyed with the lifeguards. First off, I have two kids under two. I brought arm floaters because they dont know how to swim. A lifeguard walked up and a bit shortly told me they werent allowed. Ok, that not too big of a problem. So then I grab one of the noodles they have stocked next to the pools and my daughter had it for maybe one minute when another lifeguard said she was not able to have it in the pool(why?! And why have it there if not allowed?) This was a little annoying. I then went into the warmer smaller pool because the baby was too cold and we were hanging out in the shallow entryway for a few minutes when yet another lifeguard told us we cant hang out in the entryway. I do understand the reasoning of that, it was just annoying because I felt like it was one thing after another as far as rules go!! If I cant use flotation devices and I have two small children, it would be nice to be able to use the shallow ends of the warm pool. All in all we still had a good time, it was just a little annoying and I felt like the lifeguards could have been nicer or explained more instead of saying, "its a rule".

That one negative review below is far outdated and inaccurate. Love the entire facility, and its great for people of all ages. The weight room, pools, basketball and tennis courts, and racquetball rooms are all in great condition. Also, there are even lifting programs for kids, should they wish to use the weight room (that being said, the staff doesnt let kids run around the weight room - they MUST be mature if they wish to use the weight room). Very clean as well. Only issue with the place is that if you arent a Leesburg resident, the prices are sky high. Overall, its clean, safe, well-structured, and family-friendly. Best recreation center in Loudoun County.

Horrible facility at extremely high prices. Either upgrade your facility to match the prices or reconsider your pricing to attract more willing customers. Gyms like Lifetime Fitness offer a paradise for a gym for a family of four like ours at a fraction of a cost what Ida Lee charges for their subpar gym that looks like it came from the middle of the previous century. While the membership could probably be justified for single people or couples without kids, this facility is totally not friendly to families with young children. Leesburg needs a Lifetime Fitness badly to put this horrendous place out of business!

Im a regular and the amount and quality of training classes for the price cannot be beat anywhere. Additionally, the park has rolling hills which is perfect for training for a Spartan race or just trail running in general. The facility has multiple tennis courts, but Im not a tennis player so cannot comment on the quality of the courts. The weight room is adequate with a mixture of machines and free weights. Ive never had to wait to get on a cardio machine.

Great park for children and adults alike! Tennis Center includes indoor and outdoor courts; several playgrounds for the younger set with picnic tables and bench seating within supervision range; indoor aquatics - 2 pools; basketball and racquetball courts; outdoor water park; sports fields; 370 acres of paths and gardens; adjacent to Rust Library for those with a preference for indoor pursuits; 3000 classes/courses offered annually.

The Ida Lee Rec Center has a wonderful aquatics area (among other amenities) with a pretty low price for entry, if you dont have a membership. My kids have taken swim classes here from the great instructors for several years now. The center itself is also very close to Rust Library and the associated playground so it makes a fun day for kids at very low cost.

Worst experience and it all started with the life guards at ida lee. I would rate zero stars if i could. Blew the whistle at everyone for everything, and enforced made up rules that i have never heard of at previous recreation centers. Ida lee hired children as lifeguards and I will not be giving them another cent until they fix this problem.

So lucky to have this clean, reasonably priced facility in our town. The fitness center, pools, library, tennis courts, and the park itself are top notch. Look for the "secret" grounds behind the tennis bubble - theres a beautiful area with an amazing vista for picnics and hikes and rarely anyone using it!

I have been going to Ida Lee on a semi-regular basis for 17 years. This place has been a great part of my life, and is definitely a great part of Leesburg. The people are nice, the pool is clean, and the gym is up to date. My only complaint is the poor cell service, but their free wifi takes care of that!

Staff is friendly. Clean facility. Decent gym and more than adequate pool facility. The prices for admission is high if youre not a Leesburg resident, however. This is because Ida Lee is owned and operated by the town not a part of PRCS. That confused me the first time.

I love the lazy river and pull. My significant other and me will go around the lazy river for hours. Its relaxing and not too crowded ever. I also like the break where no kids are allowed in the water. Its a great place to cool off in the summer.

I think this is the best , cleanest, most full service rec facility I have ever seen and I ve lived in many states with some great facilities too. From birth to old age, Ida Lee has it all. Three indoor pools and an amazing water park. A jewel.

Love Ida Lee Park. Lots of open space with a great indoor activities to include a pool, toddler/senior pool, outdoor tennis courts (enclosed in winter), outdoor pool/water park (operated separately I believe), indoor basketball and gym.
