I was only able to play 9 holes, but I believe this course has the best layout of the courses I have played in Atlanta. The course was well designed to provide challenges on every shot. The changes in elevation can prevent or aid in making par on every hole. I suggest signing up for the discounts on the website. You can play 18 for $34 on the weekend. At $34, this is a steal for the quality. I know there are negative reviews of the course. I will explain ergonomically why. The course has bent grass greens. The greens cannot survive the summer in 100 degree heat unless watered constantly. The normal water restrictions during the summers prevent this course from thriving during the summer. The change to Bermuda would benefit the overall conditions, but is very costly for a municipal course. The changes in elevation allow the course to drain rather rapidly. The whole course requires more water to survive the summer and it is simply not possible with water restrictions. I played the course March 9, 2012 and the course is in great condition. The greens are very fast.

My favorite course close to the city of Atlanta and Stone Mountain. Its always in good shape tee to green. I mean... the greens take a beating due to folks not knowing how to play the game properly. For bent grass greens, they typically look good in the Spring and Fall as this is the aeration interval. Wonderful Pros, superintendent & folks working the course. I play this course at least once per week.

Golf course is looking good and getting better by the day. New irrigation system was installed this summer and is paying off. There is grass in places that have never had grass before and the fairways are perfect. Greens are very good as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good. Pace of play is good. You cant do better for anywhere near the price. This is a solid golf course.

I dont know when Andrew played MV but I just play there and the conditions and service are outstanding. Since they finished with some construction this summer, I have never seen it in better shape. Like the ad in FORE Georgia says this is a mujst play course . I suggest that Andrew go play it again because it is awesome.

Mystery Valley is just different from other Atlanta courses. Different in a good way. This course likes the driver. Depending on the tees you choose, the course may play long. . The greens are large and usually in good condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Weekend rounds may be slow.

The greens are covered in weeds. Do they have a weed program? The grass clippings left in the fairway why? The sand bunkers are rock bunkers cmon Dekalb County do better. Spend some $$$.

Wonderful course kept up by Dekalb County. Its not in the absolute best shape, but for the price it cant be beat.
