Fun instructors, very pricey and horrible manager. First off let me say that the instructors were excellent at the location near Washington Mall. I have nothing bad to say about the experience other than you do wish you could stay in for a little longer. Our negative experience came from the management of the facility. We had a group voucher that we let them know we were going to use when we checked in. after we all got done and had a great time the manager approached us and told us that we would not be able to use the Boucher for this event. Simply because we did not put the voucher in a specific little box on the website when we are instructed to make the reservation. So he was not going to refund us any money and charge our card the entire amount for the group. After the staff left I reapproach the manager and let him know how disappointed we were that we were not told ahead of time that the only way we could use the oucher was to give them more than 48 hours notice. He was very passive aggressive, borderline combative, telling us how we were late and that says right on the website where to put about your number. The issue was I did not have the Boucher from the school auction until 24 hours before we came in so there was no way for me to enter the voucher number in ahead of time. After leaving upset with no promise of any resolutionother than for us to save her voucher for next time I contacted the school that we purchased it from. Come to find out they had to pay 60% of the cost in order to get the Boucher in the first place. So this was no charitable donation made by iFly and we essentially paid 140% plus tip plus upgrades. Within an hour the school of administrator here went down and had a talk with the manager who only then relented to give us a refund on our card. Bottom line is that the experience is fun but very very expensive. If youre going in with the group and have about your be sure to call them well in advance or you will likely end up paying twice.

Took my son here for his 16th bday. Preregistered online reading there would be restrictions if you weighed between 260 to 300lbs. My son weighing I. At around 238 there should of been no restriction based on what it says online. I paid online and signed al waivers a few days before his birthday. We get there and sign in and they weighed my son and excused themselves to go talk to a flight instructor and came back and told my son he could not fly Because he weighed too much which devastated him way to knock someone down. Then proceed to tell us he could fly just at a different time. So we made those arrangements and walked outside to pass a little time. My son was visible upset and wanted to leave and get a refund of my money. We convinced him to stay and not let one person bring him down. I went to go talk to the manager during our waiting time and told him that he needed to teach his employees to better address issues concerning weight of people espically someone who is still an impressionable child. All I got from the manager was I understand . No apology was given to my son from the gentlemen that started to check us in the manager gave us a couple vouchers to download his videos for free but that was for the wait for us checking in. My son went through and did his flights and had a good time and the instructor was very nice to him. But to the employee that first started to check us in shame on you!!

The training and flying experience was great but they are sharks when it comes to sales and TWICE added things to our bill that we did not want. So watch out! The check-in person added the high-fly to our package then removed it when I questioned why the price was higher than expected, then the instructor asked if I wanted to try the high-fly thing while I was all dizzy and excited and one step from going into the flight chamber. It sounded like he was asking if I was comfortable with it so I nodded, then at the end when returning gear I was apparently being charged for the high-fly. It really put a damper on the whole experience. I had made it clear at least 3 times before I wasnt adding it (including the time they added it to the bill during check-in) I swear they mentioned something in the training about trying it before adding the high-fly. I felt tricked into it when I did actually end up doing it and I felt like a jerk for not wanting to pay for something I received. I was about to cave and pay but the instructor said I didnt need to worry about it. My experience was tainted by their unethical sales tactics and overshadowed the fun I had.

I took my daughter and her best friend here for my daughter pre wedding celebration due to I Fly website not be specific on their restrictions stating under 300 lbs nothing stating height and weight restrictions apply which was the case with my daughters friend so they refunded my $$$ and I let them know that their website states nothing about this just that you need to let them know if someone weighs between 260-300lbs which I did and there was no issues making and paying for the reservations over the phone so sadly this has put a huge sour taste in my mouth and we will not be going back even with people who do fit within their guidelines My daughters friend is 58 and between the 260-300 lb mark and after paying for this event we got told that they could not work my daughters best friend and offered for my daughter and I to fly but we declined and they gave us a refund. I feel that their website is very misleading and really needs to have more specifics on their website.

Amazing! So much fun! My daughter and I had a blast! Tanner was our instructor and he was so great, fun and nice. And he put on a great showcase of what can be done by a professional at the end. Definately with out a doubt pay a little bit more for the high fly option. The idea of it scared me at first because I am terrified of heights, and get motion sick very easily. But had NONE of those feelings while flying! Just felt exhilarated. Seriously the scariest part is hoping not to look like an idiot while doing it, but if you just really listen and follow your instructor you will do fine...and definately above everything...just like Tanner told us...RELAX!! All the staff was friendly, informative, and fun! Yes, its kinda pricey but its worth it. Already planning my next flight! Im inspired to become an expert. Forget the gym membership, Im signing up for more I-fly!!

Plan to spend a couple hours there on your first visit for the best experience. Your flight time goes by quick, and your best chance to fully enjoy it is to watch the people that go ahead of you for a while before you go in. First, go online, and read everything before scheduling an appointment. Next, call and ask lots of questions. Depending on what you sign up for, and how busy they are, you might be able to purchase another flight and go again before you leave. We brought small kids and adults, and everyone had a great time. It was fun to watch, too. The spectator area is on the same level as the flyers, so you can see each other. The up-sell comes at the end, after youve enjoyed your flight/s: Buy more flights now and save, etc. It wasnt pushy, but we didnt say no.
