08/01/2017. DO NOT WEAR WHITE CLOTHES/SHOES!!!! Play lift, clean, place. NO BEVERAGE CART!!!! Nickel and DIme you at the "snack shop" for hot dogs, snickers bars, pops, etc. Many of you share you enjoy the layout or how it is a nice course and I will agree it has the potential for a great layout and a nice course. I think most of what you are paying for when playing this course is the amount of watering that they do and the marketing of being "The Medalist"/using their GPS (ADVERSTIMENTS) on the carts. On hole 2 our group stood at the tee box for 15 minutes waiting for the grounds crew to move because they were watering the driving range. On hole 4 the landing area for your tee shot is a little down hill, ball plugged. On hole 5, non driver hole, landing area was basically playing out of a spring thaw, if you have read this far and still think it is worth your time/money (you can email me) let me refer you to Calderone, Cascades, College Fields, Forest Akers, Gull Lake, Hawk Hollow Properties (Woodside Amazing Value compared to this). Let us move to the customer service. Our group had a Michigan Golf Pass book, brand new never opened once, showed to clubhouse greeter/tee time wizard/pro shop person/owner/gm/pro could not find the coupon however the employees behind said person stated "it was right there" and "I saw it too" only to receive the book back stating I cant find it. Page 46. Ok. Finally, there is another detail that I am going to leave out at this point. Let me just say that businesses should be about doing what is right and this course did not do it right by us this day and they have lost business in the future. I will tell my people not to play this course.

First and foremost, I love this course and the layout. Top notch stuff. More importantly however I love it even more in the condition I am used to seeing it in. With that being said, about a week ago we brought six players out and we hit the 2:00 pm deal. Before 2:00 pm to play was over $50 which seemed insane for spring golf. We ventured out and immediately noticed no tee markers were laid out. Then, we noticed no rakes in the bunkers. Then, we noticed the greens were NOT in good shape, at least in the shape were used to seeing in the spring. Finally, my cart power was on empty and barely made it back to the clubhouse at the turn because the cart wasnt clearly charged. Not to mention, another cart in my group died mid round and we had to wait for it to be replaced. While playing, we noticed three other carts spread across the course that had died on players. It was quite clear that this course is operating on a skeleton crew and are trying to cut corners wherever possible. Nothing like when Osprey owned this place. In discussion after our round with my friends, we all agreed that if we had paid over $50 to play, we would have been coming back in for refunds. $29 or whatever we paid is a stretch. Rating this a 2 star fair rating only because I know what the course has the potential of being. We wont be back until I hear from reliable sources that the course has turned around.

Everybody says this course is really hard. Its not that hard at all. All you have to do is land your first shot in the middle of the fairway, drop your approach shot within 5 yards of the front of the green so it rolls to the pin on the right shelf and not 4 putt on the glass greens. Piece of cake... and beauuuutiful! Love this course!

Beautiful course with great layout. Pace of play was a little slow but the course can be challenging if you dont keep the ball in play. The GPS on the carts were awesome and didnt even need my laser.. very accurate. I will definitely play again if Im ever in the area again.

Nice course! Pretty hard at times for a novice like myself. Newer carts with GPS available. Great food at the clubhouse (try the onion rings) and nice looking wedding facilities. Best course near the Firekeepers casino in Battle Creek.

Course is nice but I just played a golf outting there and this group of old guys shot a -28 on 18 holes.... wont be back for the humane society tournament next year. I use to work at a country club and have never even heard of -28.

This is a really great course, with nice facilities. I golf here a couple time a year, always love it. Challenging course at times.

Course was in great shape, greens were really fast. The reason for the low rating was because of the horrible service.
