Rude and beyond the worst customer service besides the young lady in the kitchen area who was wonderful and made the trip a little better. Being our 1st time being there when not attending a birthday party we had no idea they charge $7 for the young kids to play in the jungle gym which is fine and not a issue if we would of known but for a adult which turned out to be the owner to yell at my 4 and 5 yr old daughters to leave the area wasnt appropriate. I went to the counter after being told that they have to pay to play in that area and asked did someone kick my girls out of the area and he(owner) proceeds to say yes but they went back in so Ill go get them and their things. I stopped him like you will not go get them I will and do not take their jackets and put them on the table in party area were they could of been stolen. I was standing there watching them play until my number was called to pick up our pizzas, frozen drinks, pretzels and a order of nachos I paid for along with purchasing $40 in tokens and you decide to kick my girls out over $7 we went aware we had to pay. I hate Chucky Cheese and girls love Oddessy 1 but I wish there was somewhere else like it in Tacoma we can take the kids to play without a stranger whos also an adult bothering 4 & 5yr old children because he wants $7 to play in the jungle gym.

BEST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!! There is a reason they are the only tube play area that has survived!!!!!!!!!!! The owner and staff are generally very friendly and pleasant to deal with. They have gone the extra mile for me and my family. I have seen them offer generous discounts to right wrongs (like being short staffed for a party). They are very accommodating to my sons health issues. Yes they do have a no do it yourself parties on Friday and Saturdays as do most places in Tacoma(the crowds on these days do not allow for it). Any other night they will let bring in your cake and make your own party and even assist(refill drinks, remove garbage, lend you matches for candles, deliver pizza to your table, etc.). On busy days there is usually always at least one staff in the play area. The play area has always been clean when we have gone there and if we find something wrong the staff jump on it and it is corrected in minutes. The owner is awesome and makes you feel like one of his family. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK GUYS!!!!!!

Horrible customer service. We were told multiple times that we were allowed to bring our own cake in for our sons birthday party. When we arrived and had everything set up, they told us we HAD to buy their birthday package pricing, eventhough we did not want it and bought our pizza, etc. So, all along they were clearly in the wrong. To them policy was way more important than a happy and paying customer. I will not be using them in the future for my childs birthday, and would recommend other places that dont have so many odd and unreasonable rules. Other places dont seem to have nearly as many rules for bringing in your own cake, as long as you are purchasing their food and drink. Stay clear of this establishment and their inflexible rules, and staff that is not empowered to make the right call regardless of policy.

So far my experience was great but there was one thing that threw me off. Today was my brothers birthday and when we were getting the prices one of the guys who gave out the prices, slammed the price table and gave a tone and said " What do you want!" to me it sounded really rude. Especially treating a kid like that. Due to the day it was Sunday , it was busy so it is quite understandable that employees may get frustrated because it was busy. But at least the managers should train there employees how to treat customers especially how to deal with hyped children but it anyways it was a fun experience to do the laser tag and the arcade. Because of the bad customer service i dont think im going back to this place.

I would not risk returning to Odyssey 1 unless I walked, and even then Id think twice. Two vehicles parked side-by-side were broken into right in front of their main doors on Sunday, October 25th. Nothing of true value was taken except a gym bag. I hope whoever stole it enjoys the sweaty clothes left inside. As for the vehicle, the thieves were kind enough not to break the glass, but instead popped the door lock with something rather brutal... enough to knock the locking cylinder into the inside of the door. I have attempted to call Odyssey to report this crime but nobody seems to want to answer the telephone. I guess Ill have to return to the front desk and present them with a gift of my own... the BILL.

I used to go here once a week with my kiddos, affordable entertainment with fairly decent prizes and tickets. I however wont be going back because of the gentleman that I believe is the somewhat new manager. A few weeks back we went and he was unfriendly, rude, stone faced, and gave attitude to us when asking for help retrieving lost tokens. We thought he may have had a bad day so tonight we tried again. Unfortunately it was worse than before. I tried calling after I left (during normal business hours) and no one answered the phone. I wanted to leave a message for the owner about my experience because you just cant have this type of person working in what "was" a friendly and welcoming environment.

The place itself is great. My nephew, sister and I had a good time earlier today. The only thing that made it unenjoyable was some of the employees. Really rude looking and More than 1 employee has an attitude problem. asking some of them for help or assistance felt like an issue. I had said thank you to the guy who fixed the tickets for the machine we were on and didnt receive a response. (Not like I needed one, but still) He just walked past me with disgust on his face. Oh well. If thats the kind of impression you want to make of yourself or your job then, so be it. However, The young lady at the front desk was a sweetheart. No problems with her whatsoever. Wish I had gotten her name.

Watch your possessions very carefully. After the cake / food / presents, we were invited to go to the arcade and that the party room was still ours, "you can leave your things here". I went out to the arcade area and watched our room. Within seconds, 3 men made a b-line for our room - moving quickly. I intercepted. Did they have kids in a party their? Nope How did they gain admittance? You can get robbed just about anywhere in tacoma, dont pay for the opportunity. Steer clear.

It is a good places for kids. The food looks like standard cafeteria fare. The games room is decent but they still use the older ticketing method which is fun for the young. The playroom is excellent with multiple areas for kids to romp through. The race track is surprisingly fun. Parking is excellent and it is on transit routes. Bathrooms are ok. Staying is very young which is cool that they are learning responsibility but expect mistakes. They have free WiFi.
