We were regular customers.... UNTIL TODAY. So its my sons 7th Birthday and we decided it would be fun for him to have 3 of his friends meet us at Dizzy Castle and celebrate his birthday. We didnt bother with a cake or anything, the plan was to keep it simple with a small gift exchange and to let the kids run around for a few hours. Upon our arrival we recognized that the place was busy! There was no parking in the lot so we were forced to park out on the street. We walked inside and I told them we would be paying for 4 kids. One of the 3 women behind the counter looked at my fiance who was carrying a gift and asked if we had a birthday reservation. I told her no, that we werent really having a party, just had a couple of gifts. She then advised me that we COULD NOT EXCHANGE GIFTS unless we paid $195 to rent a birthday room. I told her I only had 4 kids and that I was not going to spend nearly Two Hundred bucks for 4 kids to run around for a little while. In an rude and unfriendly manner she informed me that we would not be welcome to bring the gifts inside. I was astonished! "So you mean to tell me that my son has to open his gifts out on the street in the rain unless I give you $195?" , I asked. She stuck to her guns and would not allow the gifts inside. As much as I would have loved to just leave and not give this place another dime, the kids and parents were already there and it would not have been cool to try to get everyone moved somewhere else. We put the gifts back in the car and I paid the regular fee ($40+ dollars) to get everyone in. Once inside we noticed that there was NOWHERE to sit!! Most of the tables were occupied, and the ones that were empty had not been cleaned and were cluttered with half filled plates and cups. So the kids went to play and the adults were forced to lean up against the wall near the cash register in anticipation of a clean table. At this time we noticed the young female at the front counter telling the other counter employees about my dissatisfaction with their gift policy. They all turned around at once and glared at me which made it obvious they were speaking negatively. My fiance even heard them gossiping about me with a rotten attitude. There were employees standing around the registers doing nothing, but nobody bothered to clean a table or offer anyone a chair. When a bench did open up we were squished against the wall with no room for our legs. The customer service here was absolutely unacceptable. I understand that management may have imposed ridiculous policies, however the young ladies should not have handled it with such rotten attitudes. If youre going to have a policy like this it SHOULD BE POSTED!!!!!! I have NEVER been to an establishment that I am paying to be in that will not allow a child to open a few gifts on his birthday. While inside I informed several other parents of their gift policy. Everyone was astonished! I will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY AT DIZZY CASTLE and I will continue to spread the word of the awful service and ludicrous gift policy. They lost at least 4 customers today (my group) and several others who I informed expressed their distaste and intent to find another place to take their kids.

Yesterday I picked up my niece and nephew from Centralia as a favor to my sister. I knew I would have time before I needed to drop the kids off at their dads so I was online the previous evening looking for things in the Vancouver area to do. I checked the Dizzy Castle website and thought it would be a great place to take them (5 yo & 3 yo) to run off some energy after a 2hr drive. I saw that there was a Halloween party at 5pm listed on the website but saw no information about them closing for the party. We arrived at 3:30 and were told they would be closing from 4-5pm to prep for the party. I had planned on leaving at 5 so they kids wouldnt feel left out of the party (I didnt have their costumes) So here I am with two upset children who we already told all about the venue and how great it was. I expressed how upset I was that this closure wasnt posted online, although the party was mentioned. The kids are starting to cry and I ask what I think is reasonable, can the kids play for free until the party starts. I had no problem paying $10 apiece for 1.5hrs of play but $10 for less than a half an hour for their mistake seems ridiculous. The attendant asked the manager who said no, I asked to speak to the manager and that person wouldnt even come to the front, relaying all this information over a headset right in front of us. I had high hopes for the Dizzy Castle and am very disappointed about how the whole thing was managed. So I left with two crying kids and had to come up with a quick plan to take them to Chucky Cheese to avoid further disappointment. I have no idea if the venue is a great place for kids but the management sure can use some training and professionalism.

I had my sons birthday party schedule to be at dizzy castle. I paid my 50 dollar deposit 2 weeks in advance for the party. We booked the party package which included 15 kids. The day of my sons party all but 5 of our guests cancelled on us. I called dizzy castle to inquire about our options. I asked if they would be willing to pro rate our rate due to the lack of attendance. They refused! Either I was going to pay 150 more dollars to use the party room and the 5 children play or I could cancel. If I cancelled the party I wouldnt get my deposit back, which I expected, but I could pay the drop in rate of 10 dollars per child which would have been fine, but I couldnt bring my cake or anything inside the building unless we were using the party room. Needless to say, I cancelled the party and held it someplace else. I understand that they are a business, but they are a business that their target audience is children. Children get sick! That is exactly what happened to our guests. This business is more worried about money than their guests. This was going to be our first visit and I can guarantee they have lost my business, as well as all of my guests business.

I used to bring my oldest son here so many times when he was younger and we lived in vancouver. Last night I ended up driving all the way up there from Hillsboro for both my boys to have fun couldnt even play for 5-10 mins their "rules" were not being enforced when we were inside there were kids running up the slide had kids climbing over us while were sitting waiting to go down the slide (for the kids holding up the slide to move). Had a girl that was walking behind my youngest literally just pushed him out of her way and hit his head seriously a 4 or 5 year old did that to my one year old. I had another girl completely push her way threw the tunnel as I had asked for her to wait while my youngest was trying to crawl threw completely walked all over him now he has more then one bruse from that girl walking over him I am very livid that is not okay. This was the first time in almost 3 years I have been here and it will be my last I will not recommend this place for anyone unless they want their kids to be hurt and treated like crap from other kids cause their parents dont know how to keep an eye on them or the staff watching the play area.
