I graduated from Brunswick high and have family still living there, I have pride for the city even though I live elsewhere now. I heard about the new seats and wanted to try it out while I was in town. We went to a 7oclock show and I brought my 1 year old son with me and husband. My son made a couple whines and giggles like a toddler does and 5 minutes in to the movie I had snobby young kids on their cell phones saying "come on!" I waited all summer to see this movie and we stick together as a family. Next thing I see this group of high schoolers one by one leave and come back. They complained about my son crying; if he was actually crying or throwing a fit I would have left to the hall to calm him. A young girl staff member then came to tell me of all the complaints and wanted us to leave. They let these young kids run me out, I work full time during the week and couldnt even enjoy this. There isnt one adult in this place so of course they are going to side with their "friends". This is not the family establishment I remembered, heartbreaking.

We as a family went tonight since it was free popcorn night. There were 5 of us to see the same movie. It was frigid cold and checking the thermostat indicated that it was barely 60 degrees and blowing cold air on us (did I mention that it is winter and 10 degrees outside). The movie simply stopped and it took me 10 minutes of ringing a bell, calling the theater, and even knocking on doors to find an employees. He said "he was working" on it. The other couple joked that they were leaving and headed out into the snow where it was warmer. Not much of an exaggeration. When I complained, you would have thought the sole employee there would have attempted to compensate for the terrible time or take our info so someone else could have.... nope.. Not real happy as a family with our experience tonight!

Tonight ... Horrible customer service. 3 people waiting on one person and left standing unacknowledged until they were done fussing over the one customer. 1 person should be able to handle 1 customer and the other take the next customer for just a simple refill on a drink. ___________________________________________ 6-29-17 - Watch out .. it rains in the theaters. My Daughter and I were there during a the rain storm ... literally pouring into the seats. They were literally coming in and talking over our movie. Throwing up plastic and walking around in front of us without even apologizing.

I have been going to the Hickory Ridge Cinema for years and never had a problem there. I heard there was new owners and I have since been there. I didnt find any difference at all since the new owners have taken over. I have never had or ever seen any kind of problem there with the old owners or with the new owners. Im hoping for some improvements but I dont think there is a lot needed. But PLEASE DONT RAISE the ticket prices...Im a senior on a small income so I wont be able to enjoy going to see a movie. Thank you. And zzPLESDE

Every time I come to this theater Im irritated by something. First its the seats that dont move back at all unless its one of the few recliners. So youre basically sitting straight upright the whole time. I went once and there was construction in the across the hall so all I heard the whole time were boots on the ground. Next time I came the bass was making some kind of vibration noise in the screen/wall that drowned out a lot of the sound in the actual movie.

I loved the old owners. They were so sweet and always had a smile. I was really upset when the theater got new management. I was afraid they would raise the prices which they havent yet but every time I have gone there since the change no one seemed to have any idea what they were doing. One time I went to see poltergeist and they gave me a ticket to pitch perfect. And they are no where near as friendly as the old owners. Its terrible.

The manager came in to the theater and requested that all of our first-born children go with him to be sacrificed to... Just kidding! The new owners seem nice enough and accommodating. I thought the old owners (especially the lady) were also nice. Every time the woman handed me my ticket stub, it felt like I won a prize! There were no high pressure popcorn or snack sales. The screens need to be a little cleaner, but thats about it.

I was told all theaters have reclining seats. They are new and very nice. They dont recline back too far but its sufficient. No leaning to look between people in front of you- clear views to the screen. Theyre still remodeling so it was a little messy but that will get cleaned up. Its nice to have a very comfortable cinema with a discount day- Monday. Not state-of-the-art and fancy but will definitely come back.

Love coming to this theater....the prices cant be beat, on Monday its $5 for all shows and T-TH you get free popcorn. The owners are very kind and the staff is pretty good too. Most of them have been here for at least 5 years. Now, you have to know what youre getting into to....as far as screen quality, seats, sound, etc. this isnt a Cinemark, but its a great price for new films and its easy to get in and out of.

This is our favorite place to see movies. My wife and I can take the two young grandchildren to a movie for $20. Small popcorn is free on some weekdays. Even when I buy popcorn and drinks I only spend an extra $15. This place does not have 3D but the kids dont like wearing the glasses so thats fine. Nothing fancy and there is duct tape on some carpet tears but its very affordable and the staff is nice.

I love this theater. I hope you guys dont raise your prices I would never be able to afford to take my five kids if it wasnt for the cheap prices you have. I did notice the change in the ticketing system. I cant wait to see what else you have up your sleeves I know those seats are ready to be updated lol. You guys are awesome keep up the good work!

Tried this theater for the first time last night. The seats are old and a little uncomfortable, but other than that, it was a great experience. The staff was nice, the movie played and could be heard, and best of all, it was a super inexpensive night out. We will go there again!
