This place has been a dump for as long as I can remember going. Obviously FRANK THEATERS do not care as they make the same lame response for every single person that makes a negative post. Dont just say that the manager is going to contact someone and not do anything about the problems... DO IT. Make improvements! The bathroom is horrible. The dryers don t work and I could blow my hands dry faster than it takes to dry them with those dryers! Its always dirty and several toilets are marked as "out of order"... Ridiculous! Most seats in every theater spell like pee and are sticky... its disgusting!! The ONLY reason people go here is because it is the only theater around. Its overpriced for the tickets and the snacks! If you take a family of four, you can guarantee you are gonna spend at least $60 bucks to watch a movie and have snacks!! You people dont care of the condition of the theater because it is making you money. Some of the higher ups need to come and make a visit here and watch a movie and see if it is a place you would like to bring your family to to watch a movie. I can guarantee you that if you did you would never come back here or maybe it would catapult you into actually doing something about it and not just sitting there filling your pockets full of the hard earned cash that us middle class folk fork out to go to this disgusting theater... Every one of you should be ASHAMED of yourselves... PS. No manager needs to contact me... Everything I needed to say is in this post!! DO SOMETHING!!

I havent had all bad experiences here, but the last time I went was pretty disappointing. I had come to an early show in 3D, but the show didnt start on time. At first none of us was concerned in the audience, but 15 minutes passed and still nothing. My husband went out to inquire and was told there was a problem with the projector and that they were working on it. We sat in a dark silent room for half an hour, while different patrons would get up and go to inquire, only to be told the same thing. NO ONE from the staff ever came into the room and said anything to us about the problem, how long the wait might be, what our options were, or what was being done. Finally, a group of us got up and walked out together to try and find out more. The young man who was standing in the lobby taking tickets then informed us we were being moved down the hall to another showing of the same movie, but that was not in 3D. He hastily handed us "free" tickets for another showing as we were walking toward the new room. By the time we got there of course there were very few seats left so we didnt get a very good one. I do understand that problems happen, and I certainly appreciate a free show, but this situation was handled very poorly. It seems this theater is not managed very well. I certainly wish there were other options, as I believe the attitudes of the owners/operators would improve if people had more choices about where to see movies in the Aberdeen/Southern Pines area.

Im going to start this review off by saying that the staff are generally nice. I feel that the horrible, rancid upkeep of this establishment is due to the clandestine goals of their corporate higher ups. This is an A+ example of why capitalism is a perpetual crisis, and communism is the only answer. But I digress, back to the main point now. Clearly the theater is making enough money to upkeep the place, I mean the water is 15$, it better make me younger for being this outrageous price. There is quite literally no way that the theater does not have necessary funds to renovate. I was once threatened to be removed if I kept "Piping it up" and "whipping" during the Angry Birds movie without manager permission. This is a blatant violation of my first amendment and my basic human rights. This is a good example of fearing the unknown, as a member of E.L.F (Earth Liberation Front), I believe we should "hypothetically" take radical actions against corporate greed and mistreatment of staff and consumers. The only option we face at the moment, is to reform and look at the "big picture". If I receive a automated response to this review, it is proof of the totalitarian, hypocritical, greedy up lines of this theater. Join me on my spiritual, "physical" and mental revolution, COMRADES!

I feel like this is kind of the only show in town and they know it. I dont think they intentionally offer poor service or environments it just there is not anyone pushing them to be better. There needs to be another theater in town to push this one to do better. My criticisms are: poor sound quality, Inflated price, and nothing particularly interesting or unique. poor sound: I am hearing impaired but in no theater have I ever had a difficult time hearing the lines from the films like I have from this one. In fact, I usually can remove my hearing aids and enjoy the film but not in this theater. Inflated price: Fayetteville is less than an hour away and you can save $2.00 or more per person and for the special seats it’s at least $4.00 3d, Imax, Effects seats yadda yadda, per person. So what gives? The theater its self is not in great shape. The watching experience is ok. Not great. But its pricier. Why? Nothing Particularly Interesting or Unique: There is nothing that makes you want to go to this movie theater the food is OK: it’s just movie theater food stuff, nothing special. The drinks, again nothing special in particular nothing local. The experience is just OK. It’s not particularly clean, it’s not up dated, the only thing it has is that’s it’s the only show in town.

I dont have a problem with the price if you want to see new release movies, the prices are fairly standardized. The $6 Tuesday night special is a real value. The issue I had was that the projector quality was horrible. It was under lit and blurry. I understand that renovations for a movie theater esthetically upgrading is very costly for a small town theater. That being said there is no excuse for the projector to not properly display the film. Sound and picture quality are paramount. I recently moved out from California to this great community, without exception the people I have all met here have said over and over again that this theater is terrible. I appreciate that the theater is here but it is in desperate need of some TLC. My recommendation is to start with making sure the equipment is upgraded everything else as time and budget permits. This is a sincere review I hope you take it to heart. I wish you nothing but the best for the future of this community theater.

I love film, and Ive been to my fair share of movie theaters. Being new to the area, I always look up the closest theaters and check out the reviews. Obviously, I was a little concerned with this establishments review rating-which is why it has taken me few months to finally decide to go to it. Thankfully, this theater is not as bad as the ratings make it out to be. My arrival was met with a full parking lot and lines at the concessions...definitely not marks of a terrible or failing theater. Sure, the theater can definitely be upgraded, and I would even suggest it. Nothing was out of the ordinary with the prices or with my movie going experience, however. In fact, the only thing I was really concerned with was the calibration of their projectors, as the screen seemed just a tad too dark throughout the movie. It may not be the best movie theater, but it is certainly not the worst. I, and many others, will be returning.
