Please show up to work, employees of "The Cary". My friends went for Bengt Washburn tickets @ 5:30pm Friday August 16th. A half dozen patrons, the opening comedian and a beverage vendor were mystified that the box office was "closed" (?) The facility number rang inside unanswered. Returned at 5:50pm and The Cary was still unattended. More patrons came and went, frustrated. As a Cary resident, I was angry my tax dollars were paying a for such a lackluster attitude so I went to the Herbert Walker building to let the Town of Cary know their theater was abandoned. By the time someone arrived at 6:10pm ("Jocelyn") 15+ people reconsidered and left just like us because if this is how they run things, what other unpleasant surprises await? Lets hope "The Cary" pulls its act together and hasnt squandered our SIX MILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT!

Friendly, welcoming little hometown theater. Movies, stand-up comedy, concerts, etc. Compact and cozy venue; very comfortable. Concession offers a variety of goodies - not your standard movie theater fare. Nestled in Carys newly renovated downtown area with interesting little restaurants and great ice cream nearby. After the movie, buy some ice cream and stroll down Academy Street toward the Cary Arts Center. Hang out by the fountain and people-watch. Very pleasant, safe, and down-home.

This theatre always has older off the wall or classic movies. Classic in the context of bot necessarily popular but films that are great in their own right but mag never have gained recognition. Selection is superb. This is a theatre owned by the town of Cary so while there is not plush seating the ticket and concession prices are very fair ($5/ticket). My wife and I usually go at least twice a month.

Nicely restored old movie theater with coffee & snack shop. Has an interesting mix of current, older, foreign, various theme movies, live concerts & comedy acts. A reasonable membership allows for discounted tickets. Cozy 1 screen venue.

You finally showed an Indy/Foreign film ("A Man Called Ove")!!! First time I wanted to attend in 3 years. House was full. Hope you will show a lot more CURRENT Independent films. You have the perfect venue for it. Thank you!

Love the concept but..."No web site?" Could not find a list of holiday films they are playing online? Searching for a film to go with the family brings up the multiplexes but not The Cary. Very disappointing.

A real cultural gem in Carys ever expanding arts scene. Always something interesting playing. The best theater in the entire area including Raleigh and Durham. Im glad to be a supporting member!
