Stayed at the hotel and used the water park. Water park was kind of meh. Not as good as some of the other indoor water parks Ive been to. What I found a little disturbing about the entire experience was that underneath the tube slides, they have a weight machine. There is a weight limit for the slides, which is fine and I dont have a problem with that. What I have a problem with is the setup they use is very humiliating to their larger customers and probably would keep them from even attempting to ride the slides. Its a large scale with two large lights that either glow green or red, depending on if you pass the "weight test". The setup is rather large and in plain sight. Its almost as if the entire point is to humiliate people. Maybe they could try being a little more discreet. Fat shaming is not ok but I would expect more from a public business. Aside from that the staff was friendly and everything. The hotel rooms were nice. The steam room was not working when we went so that was also annoying but not the worst thing in the world. But the weight thing just really left a bad taste in my mouth. Also the water was cold in all of the pools and stuff. Youd think theyd have a way to keep it warm. Oh and I almost forgot the issue with the bathroom in our room! The outlets they have are metal and since the water from the shower sprays out onto the bathroom floor, it is a real safety concern. The outlet shocked me really badly when I was unplugging my hair dryer from it. Im just glad it was me and not my child.

This complaint is for the waterpark, First think i should mention IF YOU ARE 250lb+ DO NOT GO HERE, there is two water slides. One is a tube slide and the other is just a regular slide, Both slides require you to be under 250lb the regular slide i can under stand but if you have two riders the weight limit is 400lb BUT ONLY FOR TWO RIDERS, if you wanna go alone on the tube slide and are over 250 you cant go even if the slide can handle 400lb. you have to have another rider such as a kid or someone that is skinny if you wanna go and are 250lb+. I was just 20lb over but they said no. What i cant get is if the slide is rated for 400lb why cant i still go on it alone? Most of the staff didnt even know why and the front staff told me its the manufactures rule. Another thing is the wave rider where jets of water are shot up a slope to simulate a wave. It should be pointed out that you must sign a waver to go on it. The ride has plastic grills on the floor so the water drains out and i warn anyone that goes on it to be careful as alot of the plastic grates are damaged and have sharp bits of plastic pointing out as i found out as i slide backwards on these sharp pieces and now have marks on my back. Another thing about the wave rider is that the water in it is very salty which is worrying as i wonder if they ever clean it. Also there is no warning about the weight limit, the office staff said it was on the website but i never visited the website, they should have more warning before i spend my money there again. Also the humid air in there can burn your eyes or give children headaches as it did to a few people in our group. I did receive a refund but i was still very displeased with this place. I will be trying again when i lose weight and once i get to 250 they better not refuse me.

Horrible! Dont go here ever! Soooo... to make a long story short, if you stay in the "affiliated" oh but not "affiliated" soaring egale hotel/casino; the Waterpark hotel will treat you like crap! First of all, they were extremely rude, and by rude I mean outright disrespectful and mean. They had absolutely no care that we were guest in the hotel that not only advertisesave them throughout the entire establishment but also shares a website with them. Before we checked into the casinon hotel, we called the Waterpark. We made it very clear that we were staying at the casino hotel, and at no point were we informed that the 2 hotels were not "affiliated" ... They basically made it seem as though they made accommodations for their "guests" to use the Waterpark without having to make a reservation. But when we attempted to buy tickets, they basically told us that we could not buy tickets, they were not affiliated with the casino hotel, and we werent considered guest. Even though these 2 hotels share the same name and are within walking distance of each other, and as soon as you enter soaring eagal casino hotel there is a HUGE billboard advertising the water park, "soaring egal", you are NOT considered a guest, and are NOT entitled to have access to the park under any circumstances. Even though you may have paid over $200 a night, drove 250 miles to enjoy a relaxing vacation at a resort they will not give a crap about how they inconvenienced you. The manager Chris, was very rude, his staff were very rude and I will never NEVER recommend this hotel, or either of the hotels that share the SAME NAME to anyone!! Oh and by the way, soaring egale casino hotel stinks, the rooms stink, and the entire hotels stinks. Smells like a rotten ashtray.

OVERPRICED & OVERRATED So I have stayed at most water parks in the state. The water park is small for the price you have to pay. Friday & Saturday around $300 a night. My room smelled musty, we had a court side room and the lock was broke on the slider. Cant lock your room. COLD SHOWERS & COLD WATER in the sinks. Not one drop off warm water for two days in our room. The Free Wifi is a JOKE. What I mean is, it doesnt exist...LOL. Good Luck using any iPad or computers. You go to watch a movie On demand for the kids $18.00..lol no thanks! We didnt get any paper cups when they clean our room. So I went down to the restaurant to ask for 5 paper cups. They said 10 cents a piece please. $300 Bucks a night and cant get a paper cup. This place will Nickel & Dime you to Death "literally". The water in the hotel pool is cloudy and gross. It leaves a film on you and if you look at the sides of the pool its got years of scum on it and full of hairballs. Like I dont think they ever scrub it. You might be okay with the funk in the dirty water if you only had a hot shower to wash it off. I repeat NO HOT WATER in room for two days. The water park water is pretty dirty too, found dirty diapers next to the chairs. THE WATER PARK BATHROOMS FREEZING. We went to the restaurant to eat 80% the food was great and the staff was great too. However, one night my wife got the salmon and half of it was raw as hell. Look I could go on and on about this place...If you want to go to a Water Park in Michigan this one should be last on your list. ITS A JOKE. $100 Million dollar Casino running the thing and this is what you get.
