Usually we go to this theater and we have a good time. However on this windy December day at 10:30 a.m. My husband and I, along with two different groups of people were told to stand outside in the cold because it was "too early" when the day before my husband and his mother came at this exact same time to see a movie the day before. A mother and her three children walked in to the unlocked facility and were told to turn around and wait outside. They then asked when they open and proceeded to tell them that "they didnt know" I understand if we were a few minutes early but to keep people standing outside in the freezing cold wind in DECEMBER is pretty rude. None of us would have cared if we would have had to wait inside until they were open to get our tickets. Unfortunately we had already bought ours online and have no choice but to buy our tickets here. The indecency of these employees is ridiculous. UPDATE: To make our experience even better the movie messed up and we sat here in the dark for 10 minutes without any explanation. It took someone to go out and find someone to get them to notice that their movie was messed up. Then for them to come in and say "Yeah its not working, sorry" and leave. Seriously this place is a joke and the worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Was supposed to see spirited away today at noon. We had already bought tickets online. Got inside bought popcorn(which is too expensive) and drinks and ten was told after asking what others were talking about, spirited away would not be playing at noon. We were told it might show at 3pm today and it show tomorrow at 7pm. They told us the manager Forgot to load the movie!! REALLY??!!! There was nothing posted to let people know this. The manager was no where to be found. I dont think this is the way you do business. How do you forget to load or whatever a movie that is sold out and people have come form other areas to see???!!! Then on top of that you dont come out and explain this to people?? If you are the manager you should explain this. Seems like the manager knew people would be upset and decided to run away. As the manager of you cant do your job and that includes dealing with costiners you should find another job where you dont have many responsibilities l. As for me I cant come back tomorrow because of work. So whoever the manager is thank you for ruining this experience for me. I will not be coming back to this place.

I purchased my fandango tickets ahead of time but the usher would not honor my tickets on the phone - he sent me back to the line at the box office. The guy at the box office (whom I took to also be the manager) said that the usher could have taken my digital tickets but this was his first week and he didnt have a scanner?? And since only the box office was handing out 3d glasses I wouldve had to wait in line anyway. The movie was ruined for us by the low picture quality. The picture was somewhat blurry because the screen was very grainy - through the 3d imagery you could see the grain show through like sand paper. The last time we came to this run - down theatre was before the Regal Biltmore Grande theatre was built years ago. The only reason we came back tonight was because my father in law just HAD to see it in 3d. Never again will we return until this place has been razed and a nice stadium theatre is built to take its place.

They deserve no stars. Take the time to go someplace else if you can. The worst experience at a movie I have ever had. For starters, popcorn was stale and overpriced. The movie theater isnt stadium seating so people had to keep moving when someone taller would sit in front of them. The movie started, but the didnt get the curtains did not retract all the way. Went out to ask them to fix. After the second time asking, they said the manager was on the way in. Really? No manager around and the staff doesnt know how to fix? Finally, the film was dark, and grainy ,with the sound barely audible. Almost like a bad copy. I wasnt the only one to complain, but nothing was said and the movie was never paused to correct the curtain. I will never ever go back. Regal from now on.they ruined Dr. Strange.

As a couple out on a Friday night we were only looking for a nice evening and a movie. The rates were on the pricy side but we watched a 3D so thought nothing of it. upon walking in we did not smell popcorn but mold. we ordered a large drink and popcorn. after searching for our auditorium we entered and the smell of mold was overwhelming. after waiting 20 minutes for the movie to start, the show finally started 20 minutes late. maybe thirty minutes into the show we realized the popcorn is stale and the soda was empty. I left to go to the lobby for a refill. after being rudely ignored I was then denied. After returning to the movie my partner left the show to see if he could have a better chance and he was then also rudely denied.

We love this theater -- not sure about the food because we usually dont eat to save money. They have a great selection of movies and the prices for tickets are significantly lower + specials on certain days. Its a great place for family who wants to see great kids movies at a low price and regular shows not 3D. Feels like a movie theater from another time -- simpler and less fuss and less deafeningly loud which is great. We go to Franks Pizza down on Tunnel afterward and play pac man and the whole feeling of a good time for the family for less is complete. : ) l If you are looking for a high def bells and whistles experience this is not it -- but for an old home town fun place its great.

This theater is being put out of buisness by the Biltmore Grande. They no longer sell tickets at the box office, you must wait in line at the food counter to buy a ticket. Alas, today, 3 theaters were without heat. Mine had heat, but I had to go remind them to turn the heat on. Shivered for 30 minutes as the place finally warmed up. I doubt they will stay in business if this is their standard fare I would like to see them stay around, its a good alternative to the Grande, but theyve got to think of some way to compete: maybe half off concessions, or something. Answer is not to cut the heat off.

We love Carmike. It is close to us. Tickets cheap between 4 and 5. I have been buying the buckets for years. They keep going up in the refills. At first it was free. Now it is up to $4, plus the drink is over $5 times two and the ticket. The bucket is not worth that, I was told by an employee couple years ago they got a new manager and he changed the free refills. I had to pay $3 for a lid,to my bucket, now it is $.50. We had to stop going as often.
