Went there for the jams, passed up the java for booze instead. The dim lighting, music, and decor was reminiscent of my high school days setting up for coffeehouse where local bands would play, wed decorate with holiday lights, set up board games, and sell snacks - good times. Jammin Java is a small venue so we got a good view of the bands. We went to see Various Cruelties - decent band and cool accents too. Afterward, we had the opportunity to meet the members and garner autographs. It was pretty neat experience and at the low cost of $10 or $13 a ticket, will definitely visit the place again.

Love this local place. The food is good - I have had good many a good sandwich at all times of the day. The drinks are nice too - tho coffee drinks vary depending on the barista. Big attraction for this place is the music - the setting reminds me of hanging out during my college days with no care in the world. Great place for anytime - whenever you are in the area - you wont be disappointed!

I work with musicians for my job and have been to many of the DC local venues. Jammin Java is a fine venue, but it is soooooooooo far from DC (35 minute drive from Capitol Hill). Once you finally arrive, it is kind of a cool venue. You can order drinks and food and take them anywhere in the venue which is a good perk. They usually have a good balance of smaller name musicians and bigger names.

Show Boz
Nondescript from the outside, tucked away in the corner of a suburban strip mall, this unique venue will make you feel good again about the concert experience. Independently run and showcasing a lot of independent acts, serving drinks and light food fare that wont break the bank while youre tapping your feet. No crazy bouncers and security everywhere in your face!

I frequented this spot about five years ago and loved the atmosphere and the music. Visited again recently, and several staff members were some of the rudest people Ive ever encountered. Some friends I spoke with had similar experiences. I love the idea of the place but the customer service will stop me from going back.

Good smaller spot to see favorite acts come through, have seen Civil Wars, Blake Lewis, Graham Colton, Rosi Golan and a ton more acts here. Enjoy their food even though small menu and service is always good. Like their set up with the seated shows as its a laid back more intimate feel tmosphere.

For seeing live music - you want to SEE the musicians. Jammin Java is a great intimate place that gets lots of really talented musicians. Not the sort of people who are going to go to Nissan pavilion, but still some great shows. Nice selection of beers, and good food.

Went there a few days ago to check it out and was met by a very rude employee. Said she was a manager but I cannot believe this place could be successful with an attitude like that. I would never ever visit this venue just based on her bizarre treatment.

Music is the focus of attention at Jammin Java and thats one of the many things that attracts me to this place. They have great acts coming to play there, its always clean and there isnt a bad seat in the house! Oh the Java is great too! Rock on my friends!

What an unexpected gem! The place does not look like much from the outside - but inside, the employees are super-friendly, the food is good, and the best part...the sound! What a great sound system for an intimate club! Absolutely loved it.

They told me the first 100 would get a meet and greet. I asked them to e-mail me letting me know if I got it OR NOT. They didnt. And I was really excited. Turns out I didnt get a meet and greet. It just really bugs me how they never told me.

Went there for a concert - the service was good and theyre efficient at everything. But they booted the band out at the end of the set as another event was booked. It felt a bit rushed to be kicked out of there so quickly.

Seems like a good place. But when our trip got cancelled because of a bone marrow donation scheduling issue, they wouldnt return calls or emails and when finally reached, wouldnt recompense anything.

Nice, small concert venue that is a slog to get to from DC. If youre in the area though, prices for shows are reasonable, good (not great) beer list, and quality bar food (highly recommend the chili).

One of my favorite venues of all time. I dont eat here (there is a great Thai place in the same strip mall) but the service and drinks are good. Decent ticket prices and they handle events well.

Went to Jammin Java for the Adrian Belew show recently and had a great time. The sound was exceptional. The staff was very nice and my wife and I loved the gourmet chili. HIghly recommended.

I havent had anything to eat or drink here, but I did come here to see a concert - and I was impressed with the audio and the venue as a whole. Nice little place to come see a show.

Small venue, concert was great, never had a waitress come by and take an order so I cannot comment on the food or drink. The service was terrible. Need a deep cleaning and repairs.

I stopped by for a quick caffeine kick but got pleasingly tickled with the options and extra clean eating choices. A playful back half for concerts and caffeine. GREAT place.

Awesome venue, usually with excellent acts. Ive seen some pretty obscure songwriters and some very famous ones alike at JJ, and they always have a great vibe for any act.

I was impressed with the the decor. When you look from the outside it looks dead but when you go inside you are facing a cool looking bar/ordering station.

Kick-ass little venue with an awesome ambainace. Makes for a real close quarters show. And they serve coffee til the shows over (even on weekdays)!

Really awesome venue for shows. Good snacks and apps. The premium seats are elevated, but off to the side. Such an awesome value for great talent.

Always a go-to for drinks in the summer. Everything is made before you, so you can see how fresh or not fresh things are. Service is attentive.

Great venue, great sound! The food was good too! The beer selection, although minimal, was also good! Will definitely be going back!
