Bought VIP tickets for Trainwreck for my wife and I for the 11oclock show. We had never been to this theater yet. Walked in to the ticket booth to have our pre-purchased tickets printed. We struggled to find which theater we were in, because the tickets did not specify well, the LED screen that displays whats playing above the theater doors simply displayed "C........11:00pm", and it took us a good 5 mins to get a member of the staff to stop talking with another staff member and respond to my mam call for help. Once a member did instruct us where to go, we eventually found what we thought were our seats, which was difficult being that the seat numbers were in black on the arms of the chairs, granted the theater was dark while the previews played. We sat in our seats, Theater 2, Row C, Seats 5-6. They were 10 ft from the AWESOMELY GIANT SCREEN. We were instantly dizzy looking a good 12 Ft up to just see the bottom of the screen. I was not happy with the seats, so we stepped out and went to guest services. She instructed us that our VIP seats were actually upstairs (absolutely no signage indicating, and not one of the 2 staff members we asked about our tickets informed us of.) Anyhow, we made our way upstairs to find a really cool lounge area, and bar. We got our drinks quickly, and ordered our food. We were surprised to learn that they simply give you a pager for when your food is ready, they do not bring it to you like they do in Rosemont. We found our seats and enjoyed a good movie. The chairs do not make eating food easy, the cup holders do not hold cocktail drinks, they do not recline at all, and do not have a foot rest, all very disappointing for a dinner vip ticket. When our food pager went off, I left the movie to go pick up our dishes. When arrived there were 2 other people waiting for food, and no attendant at the station. We waited about 3 mins (which is a long time when you have left a movie), still no attendant. I saw the manager walk right by us, so I flagged him down and asked how we get our food. I really didnt understand why we were paged but no one was there to help us. He went in and told someone to bring our food out, it was another good 3 mins before he brought it out. I had to carry our silverware, 2 plates of food, and 2 drinks with no tray. When I got to the theater door, I had to put one ON THE FLOOR to open the door, as there was no attendant or way to open the door with full hands, in the process our homemade chips fell on the floor. It was very frustrating how they intended for patrons to get to their seat with food. Last note, the movie started at 11pm and the bar closed at 11:30. So there was no way to even get water or pop after our meal. With a few other choices in theaters, we wont be going back to this one.

Total rip off!!! I used to go to this theater all the time since they opened. It was an awesome place, reserved seating, state of the art, excellent surround system, clear picture and FREE PARKING! They are not the only theater with this technology and 99% percent of theaters offer free parking. I read the other negative review by Lacey and agree with her and saw the reply by the theater. They tried saying they give a $7 dollar voucher for the concession stand. Really? Thats basically one item! I also read the part that they absorbed the parking fee before and blah blah... With the outrageous pricing they charge for items at the concession stand that we pay for, youd figured that they at least continue getting the parking for us. NEGATIVE! FREE REFILLS ON POPCORN, SODA AND ICEE? The soda has always been free refills, and who the hell wants a refill on popcorn? I never even finish the first small bag of popcorn. Everything is marked up 300%! I paid 20 bucks for nachos and pretzels. NACHOS AND PRETZELS. Do I mind spending for a great movie experience, NAH, but at get the parking! Its the least you can do. The theater cant spot you the parking but wants you to pay for an arm and leg at the concession stand, and thats not even including the VIP section pricing. I recommend going to Ipic Theater in Bolingbrook or Muvico in Rosemont. Its worth the drive, and FREE PARKING! They also have the latest technology too. Ill continue going to those places and never again at the Icon again. Its all about the dollar signs over there. If youre going to have the word icon for a theater title, you better make sure its worthy of it. I also read the part of their landlord is no longer letting them cover the parking fee? Cmon! I dont think the landlord cares who pays for the parking! Whether is the tenant or the tenants customer. They just want their money regardless of how its obtained. Their alternative, seek public transportation, a voucher and other "savings". If it looks like poop, and smells like poop then guess what? It is POOP! ICONIC experience? Perhaps at 1 point, now more like DEMONIC!

No-stress seating plus booze and eating! This is our regular theatre for any movie we know is going to be popular. Being able to reserve your EXACT seat is such a no-brainer, I dont know why it wasnt adopted by theaters sooner. It does add to the price point, but for us, its totally worth it. I think it also discourages the casual movie-goer, who is less interested in the film and more interested in just "hanging out with friends." The best experience is to reserve VIP Premium seats in the balcony and dine in the "Lobby Lounge" restaurant on the upper level. While the menu is limited, (I think they had to deal with the whole bringing it to your seat in the theater thing) its still satisfies. The sliders are a regular favorite. A fun twist on popcorn is their "bacon popcorn." You can bring whatever you get from the bar and restaurant into your seats Premium seats which include built-in side tables for food and drink between the loveseat style seating. BE WARNED, if you are in the VIP balcony and want "regular" movie food, youll need to buy it from the concession stands and lug it back up to the balcony. Also, give yourselves a little extra time if youre dining at the restaurant. They get busy before films and the kitchen can get swamped pretty fast. They DO have the option to "buzz" you to come get your food when youre in the theater, but seriously, who wants to deal with that? They used to deliver your food, but I think that just got WAY to complicated in the dark etc.

The place is awesome! Huge movie theater, always hosting free advanced screenings. The individual theaters are so big and they have numerous so the selection of movies is varied which is great. The selection of food is great. Pizza, chicken tenders, hot dogs, popcorn, icees, oh and froyo!!!! I am yet to try it but I looks delicious! Theres always big line for it. I know theres a bar n restaurant but Ive never tried it. As everyone knows its not a cheap movie theater. You get to pick your seat ahead of time, meh but Ill still pay $12 to watch a movie there because the place is just so cool! Tons of new stores around to shop! Plenty of parking, in the garage parking lot and outside. Bathrooms are ok. Not super clean but they arent a disaster considering there tons of traffic because a lot of people come to this theater. Staff is always courteous. Never had a problem with them. Last time I went the theater was so full my sisters n I (3 of us) sat on the second from the front row. I was furious because although it was a free screening I didnt want to mess up my eyes or neck. Surprisingly, it wasnt bad. Theres quite some space between the first row of seats and the screen. I was very pleased compared to other theaters. I keep going back as long as I can afford it, its not cheap compared to other movie theaters.
