Super bad experience. I traveled one hour to go to this place and was very excited to show my girlfriend this movie theater. When i got there the gps took me the wrong way and i ended up entering the place by the exit. When I went in I was trying to look for an attendant or someone to ask how it worked. When an old man with a shovel approached my car. I lowered the window and i asked what movies they were showing. He immediately answered with an attitude and said " the ones on the sign and this is the exit the entrance is by the sign, use your head". My blood started to boil he was super racist, immediately left the place, never to come back, ever not even with 1000 apologies from the owner himself.

The overlook drive - in is one of two left in the area. Its a wonderful venue to enjoy the latest movie releases. The snack bar serves a decent selection of foods. You can use credit cards to buy tickets and in the snack bar. I enjoy the drive -in because I dont have to deal with inconsiderate people using their phones like in a regular theatre. Although some with the bigger vehicles and hatch backs dont think about the people behind them, again inconsiderate. Despite this I go to the drive - in just about every weekend. Its a great value, two movies for the price of one. Pack up the kids, spread a blanket and relax under the stars while watching the movie on a Hugh screen. ENJOY THE SHOW!

Grew up going to late night friday night double features at the drive-in? This place is for you. Never been to a drive-in movie under the stars on a summer night? This place is for you. This is an untouched treasure (besides having state of the art digital projection now & crystal clear sound via your car or boombox radio) the rates are more than reasonable ($8 per person for a double feature) they allow dogs and if you like you can even get there early and throw a ball around. Although time always keeps moving & many things change you absolutely owe it to yourself to enjoy a night under the stars watching movies and continue this classic American tradition. Pack that car and get going!

Would really like to give a 2.5 rating but I cant and Im trying to be nice. So many potholes on all the paths here. I had to zigzag all over in my car to avoid them. When you take a restroom break you have to walk through these potholes. You can twist your ankle or trip on the these paths while walking through them. So many people smoking cigarettes are marijuana is also disappointing. Having to smell that is nauseating. Thank God my children werent there to have to smell that all night. Hyde Park location is much better.

Going to the Overlook Drive-In was my first drive-in theater experience. Im so glad I went. It was really fun and relaxing to lay out and watch the stars at night while watching a funny movie. I highly recommend it as a sweet, old-fashioned date night for you and your significant other. The only major drawback is that the price is quite something. Its not necessarily worth $10 per person to sit in a car and stare at a screen. If it were $5 or a little more, Id be going all the time.

What a great way to spend an evening! With an 8 week old child I thought I would never be able to see a movie. Overlook Drive-In provided my wife and I an opportunity to do what we enjoy while still being able to take care of business if there was any problem with the baby. Family friendly and clean. I highly recommend that everybody check this place out. I will be returning soon. Picture quality was excellent, and you use the radio in your car for the sound.

Born in Poughkeepsie moved to North Carolina in 1979. Loved going to drive in, dont know how many would remember but movie screen was burned in bad fire around 1974 or 1975 nice to see it back up and running. Great memories of when I was a kid. Good to hear movie sound played through car radio, your lucky to not have to drive around trying to find a speaker that actually works.... boy I guess I must be old to remember that LOL

We *LOVE* this place. We are fairly new to the area, and I had never been to a drive-in before. We ended up going almost every Monday night last summer to take advantage of the even more economical prices. The food is pretty good too. Weve been going to other Drive-in theaters and this one is one of our favorites. We would love it if the double features would have more Family friendly double features. Well keep coming back!

We bring the kids here 3-4 times per year. It takes you back to childhood times when everything seemed friendlier (not that they were necessarily better times, but it seemed that way because we were kids). The place is reasonably priced (about $7-$8 per person for TWO movies) and the snack bar isnt bad either. The food is good and comperably-priced to McDonalds or BK. A great way to spend a summer evening.

We always have fun at the overlook drive in. I find that it is cleaner and has noticeably less goose poop than the one in Hyde Park, and it is right down the street from where I live which makes it even better. Snack bar prices are outrageous but that should come as no surprise, and the food just isnt that great. We like to have dinner at Mapleview Cafe right before heading over.

Great place but bring a battery powered radio or else your car battery will likely die by the end of the movie. Also recommend putting a futon mattress or bed in the back of your car and open up the trunk with all of the seats down and enjoy a bit of fresh air while comfortably watching the movie. Cant wait to come here again!

I enjoyed myself a lot! One downside may be the lack of clarity of certain movies. Just saw the Conjuring 2, and because the movie was so dark, it was so hard to actually see a lot of scenes. Other than that, I really enjoy watching the old time ads before and between movies.

HORRIBLE- 60 minute power outage and no refunds provided to anyone that lived locally. That is just a ridiculous policy and everyone should boycott !!!!! We will never patronize this drive in ever again!

I LOVE the drive-in theater, were so lucky to have two in Dutchess County, but the one negative for me is the DISGUSTING bathrooms!!! I would rather pee in the woods!!

Great place to see two movies for the price of one. Staff is friendly and helpful every time. This drive in location is darker at night than the Hyde park Drive-in.

Awesome place for a great price. The theater is a bit isolated from stores and the concession is a bit limited, but its truly a fun experience!
