We are adults and we attended Harry Potter & Horrible Bosses recently. We do not have any children, but we noticed that there were lots of little children around. We were there mainly to see Harry Potter, but we figured that we would stick around to see Horrible Bosses, since it did look like it would have been funny from the preview. We asked a girl that worked at the concession stand, who pairs up the movies seeing that Harry Potter is PG-13 and Horrible Bosses is rated R. To us, Horrible Bosses seemed to be more of an adult movie. She told us that, the movie "company" , whatever that is, pairs the movies up, and we noticed that other drive ins had the same exact pairings. It didnt seem right to us. As we were leaving with our snacks, she made an off hand comment saying that, Harry Potter is not a kids movie. We enjoyed Harry Potter and we enjoyed being at the drive ins, so we decided to stay around to see Horrible Bosses. The movie started off with an endless barrage of curses (pretty much everyone in the book and more) and every type of uncomfortable sexual situation/innuendo imaginable. I began jokingly pointing out to my girlfriend that with every curse or sexual joke, I noticed cars leaving the drive ins. Before you knew it, less than half the people were there. I could be wrong, but this seems like bad business, because I think the main idea of having a drive in double header, is to have the people want to stay for the second movie, so they can sell more concessions. With that being said, I felt very uncomfortable being in a situation where there were young children watching this trash. We tried to stick through the movie so we could get the plot. We thought the plot was funny, but the cursing and sexual situations were way over the top. We ended up driving away at a scene where a man was about to urinate on 3 other men. I want you all to imagine, Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione urinating on Dumbledore in Harry Potter, and ask you, do you think this is funny? Do you think this is something for children? Or, are you some sick person that would come up with a piece of trash heap movie, like Horrible Bosses where you have 50 year old Jennifer Aniston parading around with a photoshop body, tanned, facelifted, doing something her grandchildren would be appauled at? Or, are you like us, people who think this is a disgusting choice to put alongside Harry Potter? I still cant get the image of a man wanting to urinate on 3 men out of my head. I also feel very uncomfortable that my girlfriend had to watch it with me. Also, that these little children are going to be asking their parents all sorts of innapropriate things for the next few weeks, thanks to a movie like Horrible Bosses? We left the situation as it was, and we tried to joke and laugh about it, but I can clearly tell you, if we had children from age 1-16, we would have demanded our money back for the whole night. Morals have changed with the times, and they are lessening, but not every person is trashy and wants to see this kind of trash on the screen.

The Hyde Park drive- in is the oldest of two operating in the area. Like its sister theatre the "overlook drive - in " they show the latest movie releases. Both theatres have digital projection and sound. The Hyde Park drive - in is showing its age, but its still a nice place to relax. My wife and I usually get dinner from the snack bar. My personal feeling the snack bar is better at the overlook. I want both drive - ins to stay in operation thats why I go to their snack bars. The monies made there belongs to the theatre. Which ever drive - in you choose Im sure youll have a good time. For bigger movie releases I strongly suggest going early so you can get your favorite parking spot. ENJOY THE SHOW!

Never had a problem with this Drive In its nice and old but they seem to have been doing some upgrades which is great. We always have a good time when we come up to Hyde Park and unlike some person who gave this place a bad review because they felt the movie was inappropriate its not the theaters fault come here and comment on the conditions, the staff, the patron but complain about something beyond their control is asinine. Come enjoy the experience see a movie and if you dont like what other parents bring their kids to see shut and leave.

The drive in itself is decent. The womens bathroom was cleaner than expected however there was nothing to dry your hands of with after washing. The snack bar gets very busy in between movies and there are only two lines. One line is for popcorn and drinks only. I didnt take away any stars for anything patrons were guilty of like having head lights on during the movie which was quite annoying and blinding probably due to my short stature but it really was irksome.

The Hyde Park Drive- In is a place is that my friends and I frequently go. Its a lot less expensive and more social than going to the movies because you can actually talk and interact with your friends and family while the movie is going on. The snack bar is also fairly reasonably priced and has a lot of tasty options. Not as big as the Overlook Drive- In its still very fun and worth the drive.

I tried calling before posting but Saturday was awful. We got there early and knew it was opening weekend. We had a good spot but the show literally did not start till almost 40 mins later. I took my 4 year olds and hey fell asleep and missed the end of the movie. They would have stayed up the whole time and seen the end had it been on time. Awful!

Was staying at the hotel next door and saw that the drive in was playing Avengers. Used to go here 20 years ago when I lived in the area and I cant say it suffered with time. Everything worked, the concession stand wasnt overpriced. Everything was as it was supposed to be.

I loved it! Very enjoyable, clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly. I will be going back. My only issue is that as soon as the second movie started so did the bs. People were drunk, unruly, arguing and flicking headlights on and off as soon as the staff departed.

Poor layout, staff was very unprofessional and had an attitude and this was all after waiting over 45 min to get into the lot. There is another drive in less then 10 miles away owned by the same people and that 1 is amazing polite, professional, fast and organized

This theatre is awesome! I have such good memories of this place as a kid. I was so glad I was able to take my kids here. They had a great time. The people here are nice, and the theater is clean. And you cant beat the price. I definitely recommend coming here.

Restrooms and concession areas are in need of renovation and could be better maintained; same applies to the screen, but its condition is not too noticeable when the movie is playing. Otherwise prices are reasonable and its a decent place to catch a movie.
